SmackDown Diva and aspiring singer, Maria has bestowed her praise upon legendary Diva, Trish Stratus calling the 7-time Women’s Champ ‘fearless’. Speaking to the Daily Record in the UK, she says:
“She was fearless,” said Maria. “She really changed the face and perception of women’s wrestling.
“Seeing her inspired me to enter a competition for women’s wrestling at the age of 22, and when I came fifth I was over the moon.”
Maria also reveals that she does her own makeup and hair for WWE shows despite them offering stylists and discusses her exercise and eating habits.

Anybody else think Trish might be getting into the hall of fame in the very near future? WWE seems to be talking about her alot nowadays, and they just posted a new video about her career. I know she is extremely young, but she is one of the icons of the Attitude Era, and I don’t think Vince is going to wait as long to induct them(Austin last year, Rock in the next year or two). I’m almost positive the McMahon family will not wait until Trish is in her 40s or 50s before they offer it to her.
yeah, the do it your self out come of her over all look shows. Maria should really let them do her hair, just let them it’s for the best girl. The last time i can remember her looking really nice or polished, was when she appeared on Attack of the Show and in her Apprentice promo shots. Other then that she really does her self no favors from a style point of view. Makes me kinda miss her old 2006 look back when she really did look greek.

Maria is either a hit or miss,never in between.Good thing she’s recently been hitting the mark like crazy,cause’ when she misses…let’s just say it’s not pretty.
Maria isnt at the top of wwe womens division shes a jobber & isnt & never will be fearless like trish & the divas that made their matches awesome….

I am both confused by this statement and understand it perfectly.
I always thought Lita was way more fearless than Trish. Not to mention that she did way more risky moves. But yeah, she’s right. Trish changed the women’s division.
I don’t think Trish revolutionized women’s wrestling, but in that early 00′s period, she was the right person to be “top diva”. Lita was more exciting to watch in the ring, but Trish was the most complete female performer they had. She and Lita will definitely get into the WWE HOF.
Trish to me is one of the most OVERATED Divas EVER!! I mean, her finisher needed the help of others, her moves are really pitifful. I’m sorry if ofended any one, but to me Amy Christine ”Lita” Dumas will ALWAYS be the best Womens Champ EVER!!!!’
