In Video: Fan Footage of This Week’s WWE Superstars Match

The Divas return to WWE Superstars this week after a one week absence. The match was filmed last night and airs on Thursday. For spoiler purposes we’ve put the video in spoiler tags, click ‘Show’ to watch.

Well, this video proves that Gail Kim definately gets a reaction from the crowd. Naturally not the DX/Cena kind of reaction, but still better than the casual midcarder.

Looks quite good, I liked the end to the match; the wy that Eat Defeat was set up. Cant wait to see if it in full. :)

this match definitely should have been on RAW. the gail/maryse “storyline” hasn’t made any progress at all since the finals of the divas championship tournament, and now they’re going to put a match that can build up their “fued” on WWE superstars? who the hell watches WWE superstars on tv? this fued sucks and so does the women’s division right now in the WWE. i have officially given up on the divas. R.I.P. WWE women’s division.

i was really surprised at the crowd response, they are usually so zombie looking during the show.. i guess it’s part of the being in the crowd perspective? i’m also quite taken aback at the response for gail.. not that she doesn’t deserve a good crowd response, she so does, but because she’s barely given any promo time. classic case of getting by on wrestling ability alone. props to her.

When watching Gail Kim on TV, or any Divas match tbh, you don’t tend to hear the audience and it just seems like its a match to watch sitting down and to relax too – to give the audience’s backs a rest …. but when you actually see live videos; you realise that the audience is still behind them even if you can’t hear them on TV.

Usually we only see the people at front row during the matches. Thats a different kind of fan than the people in the rafters who have the cheap tickets. The people in the front row are usually too busy to get themselves on TV. And people who appreciate good wrestling probably wont pay 70$ for a WWE ticket, they go for the $30-35 tickets usually (at least thats what i would do, although i havent been to a WWE live show in like 10 years, i only visit indies nowadays).

No criticism for Gail doing the missle dropkick and corner crossbody thing in the corner every match?

I don’t think the crowd will come across as into it. This Iowa crowd was just hot in general all night. The Gail v Maryse storyline is a dud definitely. Gail really isnt over at all and Maryse is a total bore that gets a free pass from the Internet wrestling community for some reason.

They seemed to be going somewhere with the whole insluting her in French thing then never furthured it and the Sunday match looks like the obvious Maryse win in the piss break slot on the ppv.

I love hearing from the crowd’s point of view like that. Reminds me that the fans are actually out there even though it’s almost painful to watch on tv with no crowd reaction.

It didn’t make any sense to put this on Superstars. No one even considers Superstars matches to really be a part of any storyline. They’re all filler matches. Raw sucks when it comes to Divas.

This match looks like a good one. Don’t see why they couldn’t have it on Raw. >.<
