Last year, we broke the news that WWE had signed former Gladiator, ‘Inferno’ Jemma Palmer to a developmental contract but after being signed by the company, suspicion was raised by fans when she hadn’t shown up in FCW.
The newest Brit Diva has broken her long silence, speaking to The Sun in the UK and reveals that she is finally heading to FCW in March after months of visa issues:
“I’ve been waiting on my Visa which has taken seven months but I fly out at the beginning of March.
“In the meantime I’ve been training hard in the gym twice a day power lifting and fitness training and also showing my little sister the ropes — I’ve been beating her up!”
Jemma says she would have joined WWE last year but the Visa process was an obstacle.
She added: “WWE applied for a special green card so I can eventually be a US citizen but you have to be a person of extraordinary ability.
“I had lots of evidence to put together and in the end the application weighed five pounds in total.”
Jemma was part of the cast for the British version of American Gladiators from 2008 through early 2009 when the show was cancelled by network Sky1. Her co-star on that show, Oblivion, is now known as Brutus Magnus of the British Invasion in TNA.

That’s great, she has a great look. Strong, powerful and I must admit she suits her red hair because she looks younger and stands out a bit better. If she has the same look as she did on Gladiators in WWE, that would be cool.
I’d love to see Rachel Summerlyn signed by WWE next. I think she’s awesome!

I don’t see that happen any time soon, she is kinda chubby (or at least was when i last saw her). So WWE (and TNA) probably won’t be interested.
There is also the ‘false advertisement’ issue which currently plays. Everyone assumed she was Ivan Putski’s granddaughter (see Wikipedia), but he denied that in an interview, so she used that name to get more bookings. But I don’t know the full story on that.

I still like Rachel Summerlyn. And being “chubby” should not matter because she has a pretty face and she would be different than the skinny or muscular women we usually see. I never paid much attention to the fact she was supposedly Ivan Putski’s granddaughter, I have seen her work for ACW and I enjoy it. She could go somewhere in a few years.

I’m pretty certain Rachel Summerlyn did tryout for FCW alongside Palmer, but then billed as Rachel Lynn when they had briefly billed Palmer under the hideous title Penelope Carwin. It could very well have been a different woman, but the similiarity of name is coincedental.
I’m glad she’s gone Blonde, her Inferno image looks so tryhard almost along the lines of Maria’s attempt to look like some punk rocker. Plus, I always thought the Pink/Reddish hair was a bit tacky and she needs to break away from the Gladiator image.
Anyway I’m glad we finally have some word on what’s happening with her. I think she could be a pretty good face if she has the moves to back it up. Plus, FCW need more faces as half the heels seem to turn every week. She could be a pretty good heel too, but I’m holding out for Sarona.

Rachael Lynn is British model Rachael Carr. She was invited to a 5 day FCW tryout last year and used it as an opportunity to sell her story to The Sun newspaper claiming she’d been signed.

Ya, Jemma is a very well, trained diva and will be a great FCW Divas, i actaully know Jemma and speak to her about once a week, her hair is currently blonde, but if FCW wants she will turn it red like her Gladiator Gimmick.
I hope she keeps her Inferno gimmick it would be so kool

Ah Melanie, thanks for that I knew there was a Rachel Lynn around somewhere and put two and two together, although I had a feeling her real name might not have been Summerlyn. I’m assuming, she’s not signed then if she was trying out the same time as Palmer and hasn’t been waiting on any Visa.

1 word comes to mind when I look at her … MILF!! xP I’m sorry that had to be said, we are all thinking it… xD But seriously now I’m liking Jemma cause of a few reasons.
1. She’s british, we got to support our fellow brits! >=)
2. Waiting 7 months for her Visa shows true dedication to her future career.
3. When I read the part that said power lifting and fitness training in the gym twice a day I was like … HOLY SHIZ! 0___0 That again shows determination and I like that from women, if you know what I’m talking about… ;P lol
Overall I’m liking the packs of women WWE is bring into development: Serena, AJ Lee, Sarona Snuka, Jemma Palmer, it’s shaping up to be a nice future for the divas division in WWE so far. =)

So it is going to be a good month for FCW Divas haha, with two indie divas debuting this month, Sarona on the March 19th and them Jemma sometime in March
did anyone hear if any of the divas got signed from the OVW WWE try out on Monday and Tuesday of this week, like Epiphany, Josie, Taryn shay, Cj Lane

waiting for seven months for a visa does not equate to dedication in any way to her new found career. training in the art of sporst entertainment while waiting for your visa and your ticket to fame on the other hand does. beating your little sister (assuming lil sis is not a trained wrestler) does not count. she’s got a great look and thats half the battle for a diva wannabe. now if she can be atleast decent or passable then shes in the home run.
i’m not too excited about the current crop of women in fcw. i think this batch is the only one that doesnt have any women with strong indie credentials unlike the previous batches of women before them. none of them are buzzworthy enough, maybe aj lee but she’s really only “good” in a pool full of mediocres and green entertainers (yes, not wrestlers) . hopefully the e would sign some indie standouts
in the future. the divas have a relatively short shelf life and its nearing closing time to
some of the top stars. the divas need atleast one ring general for the division to survive.

Cool! I expect great things from her. She only 24? She looks older than that, but that doesn’t matter. The blond hair is blah and overdone a million times but the red is hot! Hope she goes with a dark(er) color! I don’t think she’d be associated with the faux punk look, considering that she may likely be a “powerful Diva”. It’s a good look!
I agree that I like some of the new female talent being brought up. More tough chicks who are both beautiful AND can work the ring, please!
