Bubba the Love Sponge, the man at the center of a lawsuit filed by former TNA Knockouts Champion Awesome Kong has released a statement via his official website refuting that he made any threatening phone calls to Kong. Read the statement below:

This morning I was made aware of allegations made in a petition for full bill of discovery by Ms. Kia Stevens, a professional wrestler with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. The allegations in this petition are one hundred percent false. To be clear; everything contained in this petition is not true. Ms. Stevens attributing outrageous racist statements and physical threats to me is disgusting.”

“We can prove without any doubt the allegations made in this petition are false. First Ms. Stevens claims that she was called on the air, at 5:08 AM on February 10th, we are not even on the air until 6 AM Eastern time. We have phone records and eye witnesses that account for my every movement that day from 4:50 AM forward. No call was made to Ms. Stevens at all.”

“We will be pursuing all legal remedies available to us in the State of Florida to fight these deliberately malicious allegations.

Well, it was always going to come to one person versus the other. Someone is obviously lying and no one is going to come clean — that will be for a court to decide. But in this case, one person has a shady reputation compared to the other and I think we all know who that is.

  1. This is such a stupid response, Bubba is just making the situation worse and making himself look worse. He should have simply stated that it wasn’t him making the call and that he encourages Kong to make AT&T give her the number as it would prove his own innocence. Implying that the call didn’t happen and that Kong is lying is petty and obnoxious.

  2. we don’t know if someones lying… maybe she did get a call like that, but it wasn’t from him.

  3. Making threats is a criminal offense, but it varies a lot between states. It’s also hard to prove unless she taped the conversation. If she is succesful to obtain AT&T’s records, he can just admit to have called her but deny he made threats. So I dont really expect any results coming out of this.

  4. What if it was a imitator who did the call and not Bubba?..
Remember Jason Sensation? The guy could speak EXACTLY like Owen Hart..,

  5. Well, if the call wasn’t on the air, that probably means it was a poser pretending to be Bubba.

If that was the case, the guy should get to law suits: the first because he insulted and threatened Kong and the second for stealing an identity.

  6. Awwh now that was nice of Shad! Kinda expected it tho? I mean wasn’t Eve running around with Cryme Thyme for a good few months?

In my opinion Eve isn’t the hottest? She’s up there but not the hottest I dont think. For me Rosa is the best looking, but only with black hair! God shes a total 10 with dark hair so Maryse then? and Layla would be 3rd and then Eve and Melina somewhere up there too :D

  7. woops wrong place for that :L hahaha

  8. Okay here’s the problem i have with this whole situation, If Bubba is innocent and had nothing to do with the threats against Awesome Kong. Despite their differences wouldn’t a normal person offer to help find the real culprit? Instead of throwing around even more accusations and looking to pursue legal action against the person who is falsely accusing them if that’s the case?

  9. Oh God….just some more drama.

  10. Lol, just when I thought this had died down, Bubba seemingly re-ignites the fire! I hope Kong wins, especially if those disgusting comments about her were true.

  11. get that money girl!

  12. Wow, NOW he finds something disgusting? After all the stuff he’s said and done over his career? Really? I agree that it could have been somebody else. Shouldn’t this attention whore just be glad instead that he’s getting some more attention? This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard this week!

  13. IDK if “Bubba” admitted it was him in the phone call then why would he call her with a private number? He might be telling the truth.

  14. If he didn’t do that than he needed to say so in a professional manner and not make the situation even worse like an idiot.
