The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that former Women’s Champion, Melina is due back in WWE in ‘late spring’ after tearing her ACL last December.
Melina, then-Divas Champion, was hurt at a house show just days after Christmas.
A successor to her title run was only crowned this week.

i am well looking forward to her return but like allready said i want her as a heel cause her character is more heel like
in a perfect world the wwe would suspend the trend of awarding championships to superstars returning from an injury. in a perfect world the wwe would give the other more deserving divas (heel/face does not matter) a chance to feud with our heel champion maryse. in a perfect world gail would get a wrestlemania moment and a title
reign that she so deserves.
but i’ve been a fan long enough to know and to be aware of what’s painfully obvious. melina is going to be a champion again shortly after her return. the closest thing katie lea, jillian and alicia fox is ever going to be around the butterfly is when they randomly tag with maryse for another random meaningless raw diva match. gail will surely be in mania…either ushering the HOF’s or as a tag partner to whoever the wwe decides to focus on.

I hope Melina comes back as that Stone Cold-type,badass,take no shit face she was at the beginning of her feud with Beth Phoenix.You know,when they had their I Quit match.Everyone adored Melina after that feud.

So that pretty much explains why the tournament was dragged out for soooooooooooooo long, Maryse will now run with the belt with three or four months stealing a few wins here and there (making Gail look like she cant actually wipe the ring with her) before Melina comes back wins the title back and everyones happy unless you really appreciate female wrestlers and dont really like having the next 6 months of raw mapped out….Meh!! Next!!
At first Edge was expected only at Wrestlemania…yet he comeback at the Rumble. I think there’s might be a chance she returns at wrestlemania and haves a “rematch” against Maryse and probably Gail Kim.
Or, if gods are on our side, Gail wins the title before that and we have a MelinaxGail at Wrestlemania.

This is a total shot in the dark, but I’d like to see a Gail/Maryse feud for a couple of months, and then have Gail eventually win the title, but then straight after have Melina return and cash in her rematch, making her a heel. Then have a Gail/Melina feud. I like face Melina, but I prefer her as a heel.
This will never happen though…

ugh why couldn’t melina just stay out longer, I know it sounds mean but COME ON, Gail deserves to be divas champion and with melina coming back, it’s obvious she’ll fued with maryse and win the divas title back. Man i’m pissed off, the people I want to be champion never get to be champion
I like Gail but I don’t think she deserves the title. She just came back from TNA, WWE is gonna make her pay her dues all over again

yeah i know, don’t get me wrong. i respect gail & all its just that 1 year never seems like a lot to me lol sometimes it feels like they’re erasing all the history shes made, and having her start all over. it wouldn’t surprise me if shes not getting the title because of her TNA past.

Seriously. Its obvious that the girl still has some ring rust, and she will make a kinda weak champion. And if she had stayed out longer, Gail would probably be the champion. Or Alicia, if they wanted to have an all heel champions at Mania.
@Weirddork I know what you mean but I meant in terms of Raws top Diva missing. Maryse doesn’t wrestle and WWE is scared to let Gail do anything…

Like everyone else, as much as I don;t mind her being a Face, I’d love to see her as a heel, moved over to SD! in the draft and reform MNM as MMM (as Morrison is rumoured to be turning heel and Mercury has been resigned.)
If Melina was moved to Smackdown and MNM was reformed I would like to see them feud with the Hart Dynasty… that’d be coool. Personally I love Melina and I’m happy to see her back ASAP.
