Alright guys let’s talk. I did not ask for my release. I was released. I am still going to kick ass in other areas!! I am excited about the future! But I am sad about never getting the Championship. I am sad about not getting the chance to go to Wrestlemania again. Passion is my Motivation! Time to Sing! Time to work for Charity! Time to Dance! Time to be Alive again! Regardless of her talents in the ring, she did have alot of charisma! I love how she always keeps her head high! Not my fave, but Im sad to see her go. Best of luck!!

I feel sorry for Maria, but it’s a great attitude to have. Despite her weaker wrestling ability, I’d have like to have seen her hold a title. She had spunk, and personality, and she seemed like a genuinally sweet person. I hope whatever she does, she is successful in.

I haven’t always been a fan of hers, but the Universe loves her. I can’t believe they’re doing this to her with no notice. Why her?! If it’s because of all her outside ventures, then Mickie James will definitely be released next.

There is no doubt about it that I do feel bad that Maria was released without warning. However, I do not feel bad that she was released. Although Maria did have charisma as a Diva, she lacked the one thing that truly mattered to me. That one thing was talent. Maria couldn’t wrestle in my humble opinion. Some can argue that she was improving, but not in my opinion. She lacked the talent to wrestle. Furthermore, Maria’s release is just one talentless Diva off of the brand and hope for the underrated but talented Divas.
I doubt that this will really mean anytthing. I hope it is a push in the right direction for the divas direction back to women’s wrestling. She was improving and she deserves credit but it was at the wrong time. If we saw this Maria two/three years ago, she would be regarded in the same leagues as Melina and Mickie as a top babyface.
I feel bad for being released but it doesn’t change that I’m happy she’s gone. I hope now, some of the girls that can wrestle and are also gorgeous can move up and take her spot as the number two Smackdown!, babyface.

The fact that the WWE released one of their most popular babyfaces is strange also? I’m just wondering what went down behind the scenes that meant Maria was to be fired. Maybe it was her awfull performance last night on superstars? But then that wouldn’t be anything new? Oh anyway, I’ll miss her. Shes a stunning girl, realy lovely too and had great charisma… Although notice how I say nothing about her ring ability. Nevertheless good luck Maria :D

I’m sad about this. Maria was one of the few divas who had a personality, sure her wrestling sucked but I loved her personality.
To everyone thinking Mickie will be next; she said on her twitter page that she isn’t leaving anytime soon, that she has history to make.
I think Mickie wont be gone till her contract is up whenever that is. Shes just working the fans.
I mean, look at the logic. Very few divas are kept around much post 30. She focused on a singing career. The main reason shes being pushed right now is for McTakers benefit to knock her down.

All I can say is that I’m glad it was Maria. I was on the dirt sheets and it said ‘Diva Released’ and negative thoughts were going on in my head, Katie, Gail, Jillian were all in there, but thank god it was Maria.
I hope this will make an oppourtunty to call up some divas in FCW like aj lee.
I was never a fan of Maria, but I sincerely wish her the best in whatever she decides to pursue. Let’s face it, there really wasn’t much left for her to do in the WWE. She went as far as she was going to in wrestling.
For those saying that Mickie will be the next to go, I highly doubt it. Despite her recent troubles, she is one of the WWE’s most dependable Divas. I really can’t see them letting her go. Not to mentions that she’s one of my favorite wrestlers ever, so I may have a bit of a breakdown if they do!

Mickie will probaly be gone soon. I don’t care if she says she is staying. First of all, she could very well be lying. Maybe she doesn’t want to have the fans turn on her. Second of all, WWE will be more than happy to make that decision for her. Who cares if she says she wants to “make history”. That’s not her decision. It’s Vince McMahon’s.
I kind of doubt he would have ever let her become a 7 or 8 time women’s champion anyway, but no way in hell would that ever happen now. She’s had heat on her for the last year or so. She is now focusing on a music career w/o WWE’s involvement. Basically, she could just pick up and leave at any moment if her album sells well. If you think WWE is really going to reward somebody like that, your nuts.
The only reason she got the belt in the first place was because WWE booked themselves into a corner. They made the Piggy storyline so insulting that they had to give her one big moment. Now that’s over, they will focus on Michelle and Beth, which is probaly what they wanted all along. Maria was almost as popular as Mickie, more popular with the male audience actually, so don’t think anybody is safe. If WWE could survive the departure of Trish and Lita, they can sure as hell survive w/o Mickie.
Now I’m worried for Jillian and Katie. I’m just hoping they’re only releasing the Divas whore incompetent in the ring.

the release is so random! weee bit shocking too.. as much as i hate seeing people being fired/release on their job imo in marias case… there are at least two divas in my head that should be in line before maria.. rosa is one of them, shes just hopeless on her wrestling skill and dead/forceful cringe worthy charisma she have. other one is tiffany.. she an OVERdone generic blonde, nothing stands out on her at all imo.

i think victoria did the same as well ;) i’d be surprised to see mickie still in wwe come 2011. she strikes me as the type who’d prefer the laidback schedule of tna.
even tho the TNA schedule is better, theres a HUGE difference in the $$$
