WWE.com is celebrating Women’s History Month with some of the WWE Divas revealing their dream match. While most of the picks were the standard ‘Trish’ or ‘Moolah’, two of the picks were a little more interesting…
Women’s Champion, Michelle McCool would want to face… herself. She says: “There’s really nobody on my level in WWE, past or present. There’s lots of Divas on the roster, but none of them are making history. They’re all just making fools of themselves. I’ve made history twice, becoming the first-ever Divas Champion, and the first to hold both the Divas and Women’s Championships. Who else is there for me to face?”
Meanwhile, Beth Phoenix wants to take on fellow current Diva, Natalya – and we want to see it too! Beth says: “The WWE Universe would love to see us competitively go tit-for-tat. I got into this business because of the Harts. She may be Dungeon ready with the Hart bloodline, but nobody can match the power of The Glamazon.”
Natalya’s response was: “She got into WWE because of my family. That’s really a tie that binds us. It would be groundbreaking. Both of us go toe-to-toe in strength, ability, beauty and power.”

Also, WWE.com has posted a gallery of what they consider to be classic Diva matches through the years. Click here for that. Interestingly, while a match which just took place two months ago [TLC] is included, two of the best Diva matches in the past couple of years were omitted. They are Beth Phoenix and Melina’s ‘I Quit’ match at One Night Stand in 2008 and Melina’s match with Michelle McCool last year at Night of Champions. Hmm…

I think it’s so cool that Trish considers Natalya to be her dream match-up. And Beth too. Maybe the WWE will get the hint from this and give the most talented diva push. She’s gotten LOADS better at performing over the last year. Loved her last week on Superstars.

Oh yeah, didn’t Maryse say in an interview recently (outside WWE) that she’d like to work with Lita?
Melanie ~ I KNOW RIGHT where the is the I Quit & NOC matches?? and the only thing “CLASSIC” about that triple threat match is the double backbreaker. but its the WWE im surprised that they didnt throw in a GRAVY match.
i was real disappointed that they didn’t put up lita vs trish when lita won the title, or lita vs stephanie =/ i think ANY diva main event should be noticed.
I haven’t seen the list, but if it’s not, the first ever Women’s steel cage match should be up there for sure- it was such a shock for it’s time- something I never thought the WWE would do and doubt would ever do again.
I’m a bit disappointed how these are all in character, I mean, fair enough I know they have personas to maintain, but we all know they’re doing this endless Beth vs. Natalya tease that NEVER materialises and Michelle’s answer was pointless even featuring. Trish’s was more honest, but then again I always knew she was a fan of the Harts and therefore Natalya has always been her dream opponent. I’d have liked to have seen more realistic comments, rather than what WWE has held to their back.
We all want to see the Nattie vs Beth thing. It would be so epic and awesome.

BTW, i kinda laugh at the Michelle vs Michelle match up, because she has the exact expression on both photos. I had never realize until know that she does that expression a lot of times and its kinda bad, cause she looks so sleepy xD

Mickie James vs Sherri ? I dont know much abt sherri so i kant judge. But i would love to see Mickie James vs Molly Holly!
The fact that this list doesn’t include the Summerslam match between Alundra Blayze and Bull Nakano is a travesty. That match is still head and shoulders above much of what’s being produced by the divas today.
I was sad that there wasn’t any Mickie vs Melina matches like their one at backlash or their Falls Count Anywhere match. Glad to see WrestleMania 20 hair vs title match on it.
Yesss. 5 classic matches where Lita is in. I really miss her :)
