In line with recent years, WWE is expected to book a multi-Diva match or a tag team match for WrestleMania 26 at month’s end according to the Figure Four Weekly newsletter.
The reason that the Divas have all been bundled onto the show in the past several years is because it’s a way to give all of the girls a cut of the WrestleMania payday which is a big yearly bonus for the Superstars and Divas who appear. Not since 2006 has WWE opted to be selective with the girls used.
We have all been hopeful that WWE would return to form every year and give us a big championship match and every year we’re disappointed. Personally, after last year’s Miss WrestleMania catastrophe we at Diva Dirt haven’t been too optimistic for anything different this year so it’s not a huge shock. It just fails my comprehension that on a show that should be perfection from top to bottom, WWE wouldn’t reward the most talented, hard working girls on the roster with a spot on the show — rather opting to use all the Divas which usually ends up as one of the weakest moments on the entire card. Again, just like the Diva of the Year debacle last year, it’s a cop out. How hard could it to give two girls a championship bout and use the others in a backstage segment with Z-list celebrity #25632? They do it on Raw every week.

iHave no hopes for the Wrestlmania match. Last good one was Trish vs Mickie
God forbid we have an actual womens wrestling match on the biggest event in the wrestling calendar.
No surprise. Vickie’s involvement, and Maryse’s comments, pretty much foreshadowed this. I’m guessing it will be Raw vs Smackdown, with heels and faces on both teams. I’m really hoping they just let Beth destroy everybody from Raw. That’s how you start her push with a bang.
WWE hasn’t had any faith in the women drawing interest for Wrestlemania since Trish retired. Love her or hate her, she’s the only woman Vince McMahon has ever considered a real star. I think she has the numbers to back that up. Too bad he hasn’t even tried to create a new star since she left.
But a tag team match can also mean like a winner takes all match.
WWE tried making candice michelle into the next trish but she kept injuring herself that WWE gave up eventually

Yeah, I agree with the Trish comments. She was the one girl they had faith in to create interest for a Mania match.
Trish has often praised Natalya and said about how she’d want to work with her. You know, if Nattie had a push at this time (which she doesn’t :( ) and they convinced Trish to come out of retirement for a match, putting Natalya over her could be really important if promoted properly.

But well, Melanie’s personal opinions are just like mine. But what i really think is that they could have one women’s championship match and then they could do the usual botchfest rumble.
they could do mickie vs Michelle or something but they need to have them do some spots not the usual 20 girls then when theirs 4 left have afew moves & its over no one wins from that,mickie with someone vs michelle with layla that way a catfight when layla tries to get in & mickie winning the title from michelle…the other girls can have a number one contender match if they want too…
I’d rather look at Tiffany’s playboy pictures than watch mickie v michelle for the three thousandth time, and they make me want to vomit on myself.
A fatal fourway would be nice; Beth, Nattie, Katie and Gail.
Interesting scenario here as WWE’s booking has sort of alluded to a Mixed Brand match especially after the teasing of Mickie vs Vickie from last weeks Smackdown!. I see us being “treated” that match or something involving that and then having a clusterf**k with every other Diva.

I’m hoping multi-diva means Triple Threat between Beth, Michelle and Mickie, at least theres a feud there. Only time will tell.

I’m hoping the WWE will at least make SD! Diva look repectable by giving us a Beth vs Mickie vs Michelle title match, which ends with Beth becoming champion. As for Raw they can do a bikini contest for all I care. That roster is overloaded with just eye candy (excluding Gail, Jillian and Melina).
just face it, they have no writing abilities, not even for the men, they are bringing back DX for crying out loud, how many times do they have to do that? WM just flat out isnt worth the price they charge to see it. I am almost to the point of saying, “gimme Wrestlelicious” LOL ” (not really, baseball will be starting, i’ll be able to watch that side of the room for the paint to dry…lol)
with beth watching on last week, i still have hope that they could advance this into a match for wrestlemania. guess we’ll have to wiat for the spoilers tonight.
i understand the all divas being there gets a paycheck thing, but surely they’d spare us and stick a multi tag on the dvd release as an extra as they have done before.

Wm24 was a very solid card with the MITB, Michaels/Flair, Edge/Undertaker, and several good midcard matches. WM23 and WM25 were slightly disappointing, although they did have a few good moments (Cena/Michaels on WM23, and MITB+ Michaels/Undertaker at WM25).
But WM26 will probably top all 3 previous Wrestlemanias.

Its going to be Raw girls vs. Smackdown girls. I hope they have Michelle, Layla, Beth, Mickie, and Serna on SM. For RAW it would be Gail, Alicia, Maryse, and Katie.
Well, at the very least they’re giving multiple girls a chance at a good/better payday. :)

WM26 is having a tag team unification match. So they might have a women’s title unification match too. I hope it is a battle royal thru pinfall and it involves mickie, maryse, michelle, beth, gail and a surprise comeback from melina. and the divas might be exclusive to both brands. *crossed fingers*

Yay… how wonderful is this… (sarcastically speaking of course) last year’s WM was pointless for the divas in reality. Can we see something that we haven’t seen? The only matches or events that can actually take place is in our heads and imagination…

I always wondered their mentality concerning the women and WM…if it really is so that they all get a cut of the money, then I understand a bit more.
That said, I agree with Melanie. We could have two championship bouts and other segments with the other women, or a championship bout and a Raw vs Smackdown tag match, something along those lines. It wouldn’t be too hard for them to give us a decent match or two and get the other women involved in other parts of the program.

Its like anything else. Their booking of the men is severely flawed and the booking of the women is even more flawed if for no reason than not really caring about it.
So the end result is an endless push for Undertakers GF, and pushing Maryse constantly for what seems to be no reason other than her being a heel that is pretty.
There was nothing about the WM22 match that they couldnt create every week if they wanted to. Even the botched finish. And lets not gloss over that she was so incredibly stale the fans actually cheered the heel over her. I dont get how people can overrate Trish so hard but yet constantly bash any other marketable creation like her today. Maybe if the internet was prominent then it would be different.
Trish is never going to give back. She is an egomaniac and only willing to put over Natalya who because of the politics I mentioned above is not a prominant heel. Personally it makes my stomache ill every time marks bring her up. I wish she would just go away
