Thanks to reader Emerson of Totally-Torres.net, we’ve got a full recap of Wrestlicious’s first show.

Tonight is finally the long waited for Wrestlicious premiere! It has been couple years now, but the wait is over! In the premiere tonight, we have Cousin Cassie, Tyler Texas & Charlotte the Southern Belle take on Bandita, Maria Toro and Felony. Also tonight, Candy Kisses will have a musical performance.

We start off at JV’s “crib”. His house is filled with the Wrestlicious girls, hanging out..

And after that is a bunch of female referees pointlessly dancing like white girls for a few seconds.

BACKSTAGE:
Johnny is in the locker room and listens to Candy Kisses’ new single. He disses her, then gets kicked in the gut by her.

Candy Kisses comes to the ring with two backup dancers. Candy starts to lip sync to some cheesy song about wrestling. Candy starts bumping into her backup dancers, making it obvious that she is lip syncing. Fans start to boo her as she leaves.

* Toni VS Maui:
Toni makes her way to the ring, followed by Maui!

The match starts; Toni brags to the crowd and goes after Maui. Toni starts beating her up in the corner. She throws her into the ropes, kicks her in the stomach and hits her finisher. She covers Maui, and gets the three count. The match took as long as it took you to read this..
Winner: Toni

* Cousin Cassie, Tyler Texas & Charlotte the Southern Belle VS Bandita, Maria Toro and Felony:
Its time for the 6 woman tag match! The three heels make their way to the ring, followed by the baby faces.

Cousin Cassie starts things off with Bandita. Bandita kicks her in the stomach, and then Cassie takes control. Bandita flees to outside the ring. Her heel partners give her some words of encouragement. Bandita returns to the ring and puts Cassie into a headlock and does some offense. Cassie ducks a clothesline and irish whips Bandita into the corner, starts beating on her, then irish whips her into another corner. Bandita reveres and starts hitting Cassie. They both go for a clothesline and hit each other. They both make the tag to Felony and Tyler.

They both go back and fourth of their offence together, before Tyler hits a dropkick and goes for the pin, for the 2 count. Felony then takes control. The referee gets distracted and all three heels team up on Tyler. Maria Toro gets tagged in. Maria kicks Tyler down in the heel corner and tags Felony back in. Felony works on her offense and goes of the pin on Tyler, for the 2 count. Felony tags in Maria again and Maria clotheslines Tyler off the ropes and covers her only for the 2 count. Maria tags in Felony back in, yet again. Felony clotheslines Tyler, and then elbow drops her as she is down on the mat. Felony covers her for the 2 count, and then puts Tyler a submission hold. After about 25 seconds of Tyler in the submission hold, Felony gives up and tags in Maria again. Maria pounds away at Tyler in the heel corner. Charlotte jumps in the ring, distracting the referee. The heel team takes advantage and attack Tyler. Once the referee is no longer distracted, Maria throws Tyler into the ropes. Maria goes for the clothesline, but Tyler reverses with the face buster. Both girls are down and now slowly crawling over to their team mates. Tyler finally tags Charlotte in, as Maria tags in Felony. Charlotte clotheslines both Maria and Felony a few times. Charlotte goes for the DDT on Felony, but Maria cheap-shots Charlotte from behind, knocking her out. Felony covers her for the 3 count.
Winners: Bandita, Maria Toro and Felony

  1. I actually didn’t mind the last match.
    Although it was pretty annoying…
    The skits sucked major ass.
The first match was a squash match. Absolutely terrible.

But the second one was longer and a little better. Even if Cousin Cassie fails at wrestling.

  2. I guess I should have known by the name ‘Wrestlicious’ that this was going to be a joke. It’s a shame that I can’t unwatch this.

  3. no lacey von erich except in the begining wrestlicious song =( That was the only reason I watched the show was to see her!

honestly not very impressed, but I wasnt really expecting much to begin with

the hawiian chick kinda reminds me of a hot version of Leilani Kai

  4. Sorry to sound really ignorant, but is this the Ashley Massaro women’s wrestling league?

  5. Nice !!! This was very entertaining the sketches were so corny that they were sorta funny “Yeah, a Million ear plugs !” OR “No, the rats at em’ all” lol the Squatch match was actually decent as well and so was the main event I was happy to see Rain, Amber, Mercedes, and Lorelei in action……..this was WAAAY better than what we got on RAW !

  6. It’s exactly what I thought it would be

  7. I loved it :D That song Candy Kisses sang made me lol “I should’ve dropped kicked him right from the start” xD

  8. The 2nd match was fun. As you can see, the experienced women wrestlers did 90% of the work. Felony and Toro looked good, while Tyler Texas got over as a face well.

Yeah it’s a campy concept, but you could tell right away who the faces and the heels were.

How many recent Diva 6 women tag matches told a story like that?

  9. Putting the whole thing into perspective, I thought it was fine, primarily because of one reason: for me, if something is MEANT to be cheesy/silly and not taken seriously, it’s fine, but if somebody is in earnest and it is UNINTENTIONALLY silly/corny/cheesy, that’s another issue. In WWE there are situations like the latter, and w/Wrestlelicioius it’s the former. Everything is just getting started so of course there will be kinks or whatever, but so long as, after the promos/segments there’s some good wrestling, I’m satisfied. If they make me laugh because of whatever silly thing, then I’m satisfied. The second match was good.

I liked that there was only one commentator and he stayed focused on the match. I liked the ring attire of the girls and I thought it great that they had very nice, non-starved-looking figures. I liked that each wrestler had a distinct gimmick, albeit rather stereotypical ones in some cases. The audience is like the audience at an infomercial, though, but at the very least they know their role. All in all it seems like something a young guy would make. Also, they need to work on their camera work because there were some important moves that they didn’t display at a good angle for the audience watching the video to see.

I hope the show is a success so that it will improve in the future. In the end, if the wrestling’s good that’s all that matters. I’ll be watching it.

lol “You drop kicked me right from the start.”

  10. Lady Shaemus, I liked the perspective. In the interviews seen here at D-D, we knew what we were expecting. Or if I may quote an ultra-rare cartoon from the 1960s Super Chicken…

“Besides you knew the job was dangerous when you took it”

We knew what we were getting. Some parts were CRINGEWORTHY (Kandy’s song seems reminsicent of Jillian Hall’s debacles)!

But that six girl tag match…FUN FUN FUN! Much netter than that RAW raucous.

The comedy was clean (no blue humor), but not the level of a Burns and Allen or Abbott and Costello, or even Hee Haw for that matter

The bikini segment, while sexy, really wouldn’t be meant for family entertainment.

But one episode does not a show make.

  11. It didn’t surprised me. Its a gimmicks bases show. Its supposed to be silly. I agree with everything Lady Sheamus said.

Besides this was only the begining. I’m sure they will use this first season to see what they have to change or not.

  12. Btw, the show song is ENORMOUS. I was like…omg this won’t stop? xD

  13. It’s a complete GLOW ripoff, from the rap introductions to the really corny comedy, to using Johnny C as a ring announcer. I have no problem with that, I always liked GLOW and I am happy to see a similar show back, I hope it lasts.

  14. I was, in all honesty, expecting so much more than that. I did not like a single part of the show, to be honest. I found Kandi Kisses’ segment to be SO aggravating, it was unreal. Maui vs Toni was just a squash match. The tag team match was alright; I wanted to see a little more from Charlotte, but I’m sure that will come soon. And then to top it off, the commentator guy was driving me insane reading his script; and the terrible edited in pops and chants was annoying – they were chanting ‘Maui’, when noone in the crowd had their mouth open!
I just hope things change soon, otherwise its suprising to me that this show got a TV slot.
    :(
