The original Knockout, Traci Brooks who was released by TNA earlier today posted the following on her MySpace page:
Just wanted to take this time to say yes I was released yesterday afternoon from TNA. There is nothing to report or any stories on why … simply they had nothing for me.
I loved my time at TNA and will look back at my seven years with them with great fondness. TNA is a family and unfortunately this is the nature of the beast with family members coming and going. I will still be wrestling and doing conventions just like I have been this whole time.
Thank you to the ring crew, camera men, production, creative and of course the talent who I have shared so many good times with, my only sadness is not being able to say goodbye to these people in person. I do have my ebay store (tracibrooksdirect2u) where you can find Traci Brooks merch. My Myspace which is tnaknockouttracibrooks and my Facebook which is Traci Brooks I do not or have not ever had a Twitter account and those 2 sites are my only social network… so if anyone is following me on Twitter sorry to say its not me, as well as Facebook… there is imposters but Traci Brooks is my only Facebook account.
Thanks again to my fans for always supporting me and for all the great times I have had over the years. Looking forward to what life has in store for me… God bless… and please watch TNA Monday nights as I will still be cheering on my family including my husband :)

It worrys me that she says it was because “they had nothing for me.” Because as far as im aware TNA still has knockout tag team belts with no tag team division.
Does this mean that they are not even looking to find new teams? All they really had to do was give Traci a partner as i always felt she was better as a team than as a solo wrestler.
I wonder how long these belts last, especially with all the kong drama.
Good luck to Traci anyway :)
it sucks that they didn’t have “anything for her”. tna just let go one of their best knockouts, ever. but, they still have lve there.. which i don’t understand.
*at least she didn’t bash tna.*

“they had nothing for me” is usually the standard answer wrestlers hear. It’s a polite way of saying “you served your purpose, its time to replace you with someone better or cheaper”. IIRC Shelly Martinez said in her DivaDirt-interview that she got the same answer when she was released by WWE. And Brian Kendrick also got that answer.
Mikas: you’re right. Even Christy had that answer when she was released from WWE, something that still astonishes me until today. Sure she wasn’t a great wrestler, but she was a good baby face, actually Kelly Kelly like.
What worries me for now is the tag titles. They only have 2 tag teams (Saritaylor and TBP). I’m not counting on Kongada cause apparently Kong will leave, so this is a troublesome situation. TBP doesn’t have the talent to hold those titles. They are Maryse-like to me. Good characters but undeserving holders of titles.
The Playboy curse claims another victim. Really, they tried everything they could with her and she fell flat every time. She was being consistanly overshadowed since 2007.
