Former Divas & Women’s Champion, Melina has officially started tweeting today and updated fans on her injury. The Diva was hurt at a December house show when she tore her ACL in the ring in a freak accident. On her Twitter page, Melina writes:
My knee is doing well. Still in pain. Still can’t do certain things but I am so happy to walk around. Still have 4 months till I can wrestle :(
Melina was the Divas Champion at the time of her injury. The belt was vacated and recently won by Maryse. Once again, get well soon Melina!

You know, I wouldn’t be surprised if this “4 months” is longer than she actually will be out for, shock return? But not any time soon probably. Then again, I’m probably wrong!
Even though she’s a little down for the count physically, she must be feeling really touched right now. I’m trying to imagine her twitter home page. It’s gotta be insane with all the well wishes and questions. I know I sent my regards.
I hope her return is back on Smackdown. Some of my fave divas are on Raw but Melina should be on the brand with the Women’s Championship.
huhh..4 more months i dont think i can wait that long. i hope when she returns she goes to smackdown to… well at least when i see whos left on there after the draft.

July would make 7 months, sounds about right. An ACL tear is a 6-8 month injury to return from. Hope she gets well soon!
you guys are missing the bigger picture here, now Gail kim has a chance to FINALLY win the divas title and get the push she deserves. Or they could keep Maryse as champion for the next 4 months(which is likely possible) until Melina returns
Melina is a great wrestler but we all know if she came back tommorrow, she would automatically take back her top babyface spot. I want something different to happen in the womens division and thats for Gail to become Divas champion

Gail needs to connect with the fans or she won’t win any title anytime soon. I’m not sure if she would have ever held a title in the WWE because her first reign was an accident. Gail was great over at TNA but hasn’t found her footing in the WWE yet and it’s quite sad, I really don’t think they’ll put the title on her unless she gets over with the audience.
Anyway, get well soon to Melina! Can’t wait to have her back!
rodneyclint- No title reign is an accident because it’s all scripted. WWE wanted to get Gail over instantly so they gave her the womens title on her first night. Jazz was already injured before the battle royal so she had to drop the title
RKOyou- yea im kinda hoping for GAIL to get at least a chance to hold that DIVAS TITLE to. but they better do it fast because the way that everyone is doing their spring cleaning by getting rid of superstars and since the draft is right around the corner no telling who’s going where or what’s gonna happen this year.
I miss Melina so much she is my favorite diva everything about her I like I can’t wait till she comes back and when she does she is nethier going to be a 2 time divas champion or a 4 time womens champion I dont care which 1 she is as long as she comes back she is 1 of the main reasons I watch WWE but when she comes back she will own which ever show she is on whether it’s SmackDown of Raw those divas better watch out because the Split Queen will be back soon to reclaim what is rightfully hers

Tbh, maybe when she gets back, it’ll be when the guest host crap is done with so then she can come back when the Divas Title scene can produce credible matches again. I don’t really want to see Melina in rubbish matches, so hopefully she’ll be back at the perfect time.
I’m not a big fan of Melina, but without her, the RAW female division is terribly boring. Yes, there are other good wrestlers, but Melina is the only one who can wrestle AND connect with the audience.
Until she comes back, I think will see a boring title reign and the expectation of seeing Maryse with the title for 4 months, makes me don’t want to see RAW for a while. However I’m going to continue to watch it, in a stupid hope for someone else taking the title.
Melina is overrated in every way to be honest. Shes nowhere near as over as her fans think. KK beat her in every direct pop but one despite being booked terrible and Melina booked like superwoman.
