A few readers have pointed out that in the champions graphic on the TNAwrestling.com roster page, all three members of The Beautiful People are pictured as Knockouts Tag Team Champions.
It looks as though the trio may be defending the belts under ‘Freebird Rule‘, a gimmick that was applied to the legendary tag team The Fabulous Freebirds some years ago. Under the Rule, any two members of the trio could defend the Tag Team Championships and it looks as though the same will be applied to The Beautiful People.
We discussed the idea of them doing this on the Post Show last night and I’m sure you’ll agree, it’ll make for interesting viewing to see who defends the belts on any given night — it would certainly spice things up. Good move in my book though Lacey VE as champion seems a little scary…

Im not counting lacey as champion she wasnt in the match. So if i was to ever see her with teh title around her waist i wont tak it seriously…but yeah LVE Champion ? Equals Nightmare
I was gonna mention something about being handed the belt and legitimacy and stuff like that…but who cares anymore?
i guess we’ll have to wait for the next taping (tonight?) to see if there’s any clue what they’re gonna do. i’m in two minds about it. like you say, it will definitely spice things up, it’s something different. yet the thought of lacey having the belt is… meh. they could go the other way with lacey getting jealous? eventually costing them the gold? as much as she sucks in the ring, her being like that feels better suited as a face. she’d be able to play on her looks and family name more.
either way, it’s a refreshing change. given the choice of teams last night, the beautiful people were the best decision, i feel.

I thought the freebird rule was an interesting idea, and is cool that they are using it here. It makes sense.

atleast we will actually see the belts on TV, and they will get use alot more unlike the previous champions…..not that Kongmada were at fault for the lack of TV time and title defences, but fact is they didnt and TBP get ALOT more TV time.
Lacey is not a champion, she wasn’t in the match. her picture is only shown because she’s part of the group but Madison and Velvet are the legit champions
RKOyou – The TNA Tag Team Champions are “The Beautiful People.” Like the “Spirit Squad” It appears all members are the champions. Velvet Sky said “We’re all champions.” And if she was right they’ll all be defending the belts and Lacey is also champion.
All three members are being recognized as champions. They addressed this on the pre-iMPACT show, after the match, and on the graphic online.

No all 3 of them are champions. Madison and Velvet will probably wear the titles and defend them but Lacey counts as champion.
i still don’t think so, why should Lacey get credited as champion when velvet and madison are always doing the work. The tag titles are meant to be worn by 2 PEOPLE and madison and velvet were in the match and they won, so they’re champions, not Lacey. Madison only said “we’re all champions” because she didn’t want Lacey to feel left out and get upset. Also lacey never even got to hold the titles so it’s obvious who the real champions are
If lacey does ‘count’ as champion, well then that sucks because titles are meant to be earned, not by doing nothing at ringside. I like Lacey but the thought of her winning a title scares me lol
