The Beautiful People’s Lacey Von Erich will report to Mach One Wrestling (also known as M1) in California today to begin extensive training in wrestling. The TNA Knockout wrote on her Facebook page that she will attend training three times a week under a new deal struck between M1 and TNA. She writes:
I start training this Saturday, three times a week! Can’t wait to get in the ring more!
The company will send stars to the facility as it’s official training ground and Von Erich, who debuted in September, looks to be the school’s first student from TNA.
Despite debuting in September, Lacey hasn’t been seen in the ring that much due to her greenness. She is still expected to be part of TNA tapings.
Von Erich will also make her debut on Wrestlicious TakeDown next week teaming with her fellow Beautiful People team mate, Madison Rayne [as Amber Lively] in the main event. Of course, this was taped before Lacey joined TNA and The Beautiful People and just happens to be a coincidence.

Good for Lacey, I hope she does well in training.
March 13, 2010 at 3:20 pm
fine time to start training…omg.. i guess better late then never!
March 13, 2010 at 3:22 pm
i thought she was meant do be doing this before? oh well
lets hope this works, i think lacey could be a good wrestler one day, i liked that chokeslam she did on sarita a wile back
March 13, 2010 at 3:29 pm
Lacey’s been in TNA for months and she’s just now STARTING to train? And only 3 times a week? There’s something very wrong with that…
March 13, 2010 at 4:36 pm
Good for Lacey and TNA. I really hope she can learn and develop because with her looks and personality, she could end up becoming a star.
March 13, 2010 at 5:12 pm
Bout time my only question is why have TNA waited til now and put someone with the skills as Lacey in the ring before getting her exclusive training lol maybe Velvet should join her.
March 13, 2010 at 5:18 pm
(with apologies to Edge)
nothing would upset lacey haters more than the return of the
claw!
claw!
claw!
seriously, tna could do gimmick where lacey knocks out ppl with her phallic ugly stick and then pretends the claw did the work when the ref turns around like William Regal’s “power of the punch”
March 13, 2010 at 5:30 pm
Go Lacey
March 13, 2010 at 5:32 pm
If she really wanted to become a wrestler she could’ve taken the initiative and start training 6 months ago. But who knows, maybe someday she will surprise us once she finishes her basic training.
March 13, 2010 at 5:48 pm
I’m glad to see Lacey training because it shows she does care to improve. Hope she picks up quickly
March 13, 2010 at 5:51 pm
Good for her. Nice thing to have a deal with another territory so they can provide training for the greener workers.
March 13, 2010 at 6:14 pm
@Ed Lacey has a son so I assume the 3 times a week is so she can spend time with him since she’s said in interviews that her son comes first basically.
March 13, 2010 at 6:20 pm
i would like to assume she has been training since joining tna, maybe not as much as she will be now, but at least learning from the likes of daniels, aj, and the other “knockout friendly” tna stars (as well as the knockouts themselves).
in the meantime, i do semi-applaud tna for not putting her in the ring constantly! she’s probably been in the ring to wrestle, for what, no more than ten minutes in however many months? which i feel is something the wwe needs to take note of when it comes to their lesser trained women.
good luck to her.
March 13, 2010 at 6:20 pm
It’s not like this is her first wrestling training ever people, she just wants to get better. Sure it should’ve been done earlier, but she is a busy girl. Atleast she WANTS to get better, and isn’t just doing it because TNA is making her….you can’t fault her for that.
TNA is really investing in her and probably has big plans for her in the future. If she can get solid in the ring, she will be a major force in the Knockouts division. They can invest in her and not worry about her defecting, because she has no desire to go to WWE. She is a team player.
She has everything going for her. She is drop dead gorgeous, she has the size, she has the charisma, a strong presence about her, and she is a FREAK VON ERICH!!(that is so damn cool, von erich’s were the shit in the 80′s!). If she can get just get solid in the ring, skys the limit.
March 13, 2010 at 6:23 pm
i agree, macho. i look at her the same way i look at maryse. i really like them both and both could be really big in the future. they just need to learn how to wrestle.
laceys definitely got the look and she has the gimmick down to a t. she doesn’t seem anywhere near as nervous as she was when she first joined.. she actually looked pretty shaky on her first promo and all she really needs is to nail the wrestling side down.
March 13, 2010 at 6:52 pm
Erm, if she said that she’s starting training three times a week, I wonder how much did she train before. Three times a week doesn’t seem like a lot to me. But I know people who train almost every single day in order to refine whatever sport they train and they don’t have national and international exposure. And I’m almost sure that a lot of wrestlers said that they train every day (if its true or not, whatever).
Anyways, ignoring the fact that I think it isn’t a lot of training, because my opinion is rather biased thanks to the athletes I know, I hope she improves a lot.
March 13, 2010 at 7:41 pm
People have already said, she has a very young son to look after so training 3 times a week must fit in with her schedule between being at home with her child and the TNA tapings. She can’t be expected to train every single day and never see her son. She had training before but wasn’t with the promotion long enough to really pick up any solid skills, now she has a full-time contract with a top company, it is the perfect chance for her to train and build herself up as a wrestler and character. She never really had that chance before.
March 13, 2010 at 9:08 pm
“I’m glad to see Lacey training because it shows she does care to improve.”
If she really cared, she would’ve started training when she signed with TNA 6 months ago. It should be pointed out that she’s only beginning to train now after Hogan & Bischoff just went on the radio and told the whole world that she sucked as a wrestler.
“i would like to assume she has been training since joining tna”
Actually, it’s been pretty widely reported that one of management’s main criticisms of Lacey was that until now she DIDN’T train to improve.
“Erm, if she said that she’s starting training three times a week, I wonder how much did she train before. Three times a week doesn’t seem like a lot to me. But I know people who train almost every single day in order to refine whatever sport they train and they don’t have national and international exposure. And I’m almost sure that a lot of wrestlers said that they train every day.
Exactly my point. She needs to train a hell of a lot more than 3 times a week to deserve the spot she has. Her current skill level is about zero.
“People have already said, she has a very young son to look after so training 3 times a week must fit in with her schedule between being at home with her child and the TNA tapings. She can’t be expected to train every single day and never see her son. She had training before but wasn’t with the promotion long enough to really pick up any solid skills, now she has a full-time contract with a top company, it is the perfect chance for her to train and build herself up as a wrestler and character. She never really had that chance before.”
Please don’t make excuses for her. AJ Styles has an infant son and 2 other kids on top of that. He’s said that he doesn’t get to see them as much as he wants to because he’s constantly on the road, and I guarantee you that AJ trains more than 3 times a week. Christopher Daniels, same deal.
Being away from your family is one of the sacrifices wrestlers make to do what they do. If Lacey wants to put her family first, that’s commendable, but it also means that she should NOT be taking a spot away from someone who IS willing to sacrifice that time with their family to be a wrestler. If she’s not willing to train a little more than 3 freaking times a week, then they should take her spot away and give it to one of the women who busts their ass for that company 24/7 (i.e. Taylor, Sarita, Hamada, etc). That’s the reality of the business, and wrestlers shouldn’t be rewarded for slacking off.
And you think that just because she got fired from WWE developmental early on that this absolves her from being so horrid in the ring? Do you think that was the only way she could pick up any formal training? There are wrestling schools all over the place! She could’ve gone to any one of them at any time! Maybe she just didn’t take her training seriously, which as I recall, was one of the complaints about her in WWE developmental as well.
March 13, 2010 at 10:38 pm
Lacey has said before that Kip James was working with her on her in-ring skills when she came into the company.
March 13, 2010 at 10:39 pm
Wow someone needs to get over their hatred for Lacey.. Her dad was on the road all the time and he ended up dying young and Lacey never got to spend that much time with him, i guess she doesn’t wanna put her son through that. She also wasn’t fired from FCW training according to her, but I guess you know her more than she knows herself right? Aj/Daniels didn’t go through what Lacey went through.. Besides I’m pretty sure they were both used to being on the road all the time before they had their kids, unlike Lacey.
And it’s not Lacey’s fault that they’d rather use her over Hamada.. Hamada/Kong vs Saraita/Taylor scored the lowest rating during that one episode, compare that to TBP getting the highest ratings every other episode..
I think it’s great that she’s starting to train
you can’t win with some people, When certain wrestlers don’t train they complain, when they do train they still complain.. But w/e Claw claw claw claw!
March 13, 2010 at 10:46 pm
@ Evan – I agree with everything else you said, but about the Taylor/Sarita vs Hamada/Kong match, that was straight after Hulk Hogan’s debut on Impact, I think the match lost viewers because Impact was head to head with Raw that night and people tuned in to Impact to see Hogan debut and then once that was finished, switched straight over to Raw to check out what Bret Hart doing. I don’t think it had anything to do it being a Knockouts match or the particular Knockouts in the match.
March 13, 2010 at 10:47 pm
Good thing that she’s starting to train. Her moves doesn’t seem impactful when sold or executed.
Well, every good wrestler starts out horrible right?
March 14, 2010 at 12:02 am
she is a freakin Von Erich*
March 14, 2010 at 12:09 am
she just posted this status update on her facebook page..
Lacey Von Erich Just got done with my first Wrestling training session in Anahiem, Cali. It was awesome! I didn’t practice that hard even in FCW! I’m looking forward to getting better! See you in the ring
love y’all!
March 14, 2010 at 12:36 am
lacey doesn’t deserve her spot CLAW! just because she’s pretty and from a famous family CLAW! she’s taking tv time away from [insert name here] who worked her way up in roh, ovw, fcw, shimmer and/or the indies CLAW! If TNA let’s her be a tag champ through the freebird rule, I’ll be really really upset and write many posts explaining why in great detail- waaaaaaaaa! CLAW! CLAW! CLAW!
don’t hate lacey, hate the game (lacey = ratings = more lacey on tv)
hail the tag champs!
March 14, 2010 at 2:16 am
I assumed Lacey had a little bit of indy cred and wrestling experience, but I guess not.
WTF is wrong with TNA? their stance on womans wrestling has done a complete 180 and it makes them look like hypocritical idiots.
Lacey is a generic blonde bimbo who can’t wrestle that plays a generic blonde bimbo who can’t wrestle, I can’t believe she has fans.
March 14, 2010 at 2:45 am
“WTF is wrong with TNA? their stance on womans wrestling has done a complete 180 and it makes them look like hypocritical idiots. ”
like i said earlier, it’s not as if lacey is wrestling every week, let alone every month. if she was in the ring every seven days, trying to wrestle, fair enough. but she isn’t. it’s like saying tna should fire socal val, or chelsea, or one of ric flair’s models ‘cos they can’t wrestle either.
also, last i heard she runs her own company, too? so that, being a (i assume) single parent, tv tapings, other wrestling commitments (signings and conventions etc) as well as training. i’m surprised she fits 3 days worth in to begin with.
i don’t see why people are pissing all over her for actually training though. we praise michelle mccool for willingness to learn, christy hemme and layla, too. what’s the big difference?
March 14, 2010 at 2:46 am
“if she was in the ring every seven days, trying to wrestle, fair enough”
my sentence doesn’t make sense. i guess i mean if she was wrestling every week on tna, fair enough, but she isn’t. she’s not taking time away from the saritas, hamadas, and taylors. ‘cos if she wasn’t on the roster, that time would still be going to rayne and sky.
March 14, 2010 at 2:48 am
I really don’t know lacey’s background too well, I’m a fan;
but I’m a bigger fan watching lacey haters get upset- it’s so fun
a quick look at LVE in wikipedia reveals:
wwe developmental/fcw in 2007
she wrestled indies pcw & pwr in 2008
and they are already listing her in wikipedia as 1/3 of the tna tag champs
ha ha ha- that’s so great
get those typing fingers going lacey haters
“Lacey is ruining the sanctity of the holy temple of women’s wrestling. I wish TNA would stop pushing bimbo lacey and give me a real match, waaaaaa-”
Nope, you get the beautiful people having intimate relations with the middle rope again. sorry.
holler.
oh yeah, CLAW!
March 14, 2010 at 2:53 am
b fizzle – “Lacey has said before that Kip James was working with her on her in-ring skills when she came into the company.”
i’m pretty certain i’ve heard the same about aj and matt morgan. i think it’s impossible for her to be around these wrestlers and not have training sessions with them. even running through falls in the ring before tapings.. kinda like what we saw of taylor wilde, practicing in the tna ring, on that mtv made show, or whatever it was.
she must’ve had training within the last six months. but even if she hasn’t, she’s getting it done now. and people need to realise that’s a good thing!
March 14, 2010 at 2:57 am
“I really don’t know lacey’s background too well, I’m a fan;
but I’m a bigger fan watching lacey haters get upset- it’s so fun”
it’s weird. at first i think it was people’s defence mechanism of sorts towards angelina being let go and as if lacey was truly supposed to replace her. but now love’s back you’d think those haters would calm down. i don’t understand what there is to hate about her so much? she’s a woman in wrestling. we should be praising her, ya know. i don’t particularly like her that much, but she’s got my respect.
March 14, 2010 at 3:27 am
Good points Kaledrina. I love Angelina I think she combines being tough, technically sound and hot better than anyone in either company. But she’s not the best in following up on her work visa; so TNA brought in Lacey. I never saw her as a Love replacement, she got Madison’s old valet/low girl on the totem pole role and Madison got bumped up to the A team with Velvet-the new leader. The TNA storytellng has been clear about this, when Angelina was pummeling Velvet upon her return she kept saying, “You thought you could replace me.” not, you replaced me with LVE.
The Lacey hatred is weird. I don’t know. I liked Alisha and Roxxi and wish they were still in TNA (and I assume Kong screwed Kong), but like you said Lacey isn’t taking TV time away from Sarita & Taylor- hell Madison & Velvet “did the job” 2 ppv’s in a row for them.
I’m interested to see how Lacey deals with the “You can’t wrestle!” chants in the future. She has such great heel heat going for her.
The claw does look really bad (so does the spear-spear-spear now that I mention it), was the claw move really over back in the day? Anyone? Never really saw her family wrestle…
March 14, 2010 at 8:59 am
this is good news!
March 14, 2010 at 9:03 am
M1W has 3 training classes a week. It’s a great program, and it’s an awesome school. I’m planning on starting there in August.
March 14, 2010 at 10:16 am
haha well said Evan!
im glad Lacey is traning i know she’s gonna be an awesome knockout oneday! she already has the personality and looks, combine that with wrestling skill and you’ve got the perfect knockout!
March 14, 2010 at 11:32 am
“Please don’t make excuses for her. AJ Styles has an infant son and 2 other kids on top of that. He’s said that he doesn’t get to see them as much as he wants to because he’s constantly on the road, and I guarantee you that AJ trains more than 3 times a week. Christopher Daniels, same deal.

AJ and Daniels ALSO have wives at home to look after their children. I don’t think Lacey married the father of her son, so presumably she’s the one who’s had to primarily look after him. I know she’s engaged now but not sure if it’s the same guy. Family should always come before wrestling, especially if she was a single mother at the time. People’s circumstances are different.
At least she’s showing intiative to improve. Who cares if it’s been 6 months into her TNA tenure? TNA didn’t even have a developmental territory like FCW at the time. Why else do you think WWE Divas like Eve, Bella’s, Tiffany, Alicia and Layla have improved? The deal with this wrestling school is just what she needs. I might not like what Dixie Carter has done to the Knockouts division of late (by LETTING Bischoff and Hogan scale down on them, the stupid b****) but this is a good idea.
Look at Maryse in WWE, she’s probably trained for a similar period as Lacey, but she’s had more matches in her career. And despite some improvement while feuding with Michelle McCool in 2008, she’s been absolutely terrible in the ring in the past year (though she has a good character).
March 14, 2010 at 6:32 pm
As a chick, I just wanna say that women are different than men when it comes to their children. Don’t believe me? Go watch a young couple with a kid.
Go Lacey! I agree she pretty much has more going for her than Hamada, Sarita, Taylor, etc. She’s young, she’s damn hot and most importantly.. SHE HAS FREAKING PERSONALITY. Those three may be “great” in the ring, but can you explain three things they do outside of stiff or set spots? They can’t make you laugh. They can’t make you mad.
This is pro wrestling. A FAKE sport. You only get so much time a week to get across who you are and why you do the stuff you do. If all you are doing is set spots, what does that say about you? Being able to a backflip isn’t considered a character. Now if you are doing some cheating to make a match short, running around like the dumb blond you look like and hit people with an ugly stick.. That’s different.
If nothing else, Lacey is still only 24. How old were some of the other women on TV when they started “serious” training?
March 14, 2010 at 10:08 pm
Not to make excuses for LVE, but she is a different case from other young wrestlers. I think some automatically assumed that she could wrestle because she’s a Von Erich, just like you assumed Frank Sinatra Jr. could sing. It seems like she had to work on her attitude, but it’s grat she’s getting the training and I think she could be a star.
March 14, 2010 at 10:50 pm
everyone needs to get over hating on her…she made her mistakes she’s atoned for them!and even though she is really hot…i’m not a mark for her…i’m a mark for Velvet Sky
))!
