In something of a dream match for Knockouts fans, Tara will defend the Knockouts Championship against Daffney this Sunday at the Destination X pay per view.
At least one promotion gets the March pay per view right this year…
EDIT: This match is now a ‘First Blood Match’.

I’m so happy for Daffney. I’m glad she’s getting the push she deserves. I think she would make a great champion should TNA decide to give her the title. She may not be the most technically sound of all the Knockouts but it’s definitely not because of her lack of dedication. I also like her character. I think that a lot of good story lines can stem from her.

I don’t really get why someone deserves a title match when they’ve lost their last 3 matches by DQ. I know she got in Tara’s head but Daffney hasn’t won, end of. Still, should be a good match.

This should be good. The fact that it is now a First Blood Match makes this match more intresting. The most likely ending will be Tara retaining by pure luck. Daffney goes complete insane and accidentley busts herself open thus allowing Tara to retain the title. This leads to a match at Lockdown for the KO Title.

it’s a first blood match? aw, that kinda sucks. i mean it doesn’t suck it just would’ve been good to see them have a straight match before moving into the more gimmicky things. and, well, the bleeding thing is a bit weird – it’s not as if they’ve been going around busting eachother open or anything.
i think it’s a given now that tara will retain (i don’t see her blading, tbh). which is okay – as long as daffney gets the belt within the next month or two.

It’s nice to see them in a ppv match, but i’d rather have them do some regular matches on impact first to further the feud, and THEN use a gimmick match on ppv like this. But TNA always goes straight for the gimmick matches without storyline or reasoning behind it. But i hope it will be a good match, and that Daffney isn’t going to job again.

Daffney got DQed very quickly in her last three matches. At this point, she doesn’t care about wins, and probably doesn’t care much about titles; she just wants to hurt people. Another regular match would likely have the very same result as the first one, DQ in two minutes.
It’s true TNA likes gimmick matches too much and usually goes for them too quickly in the feuds, but in this case going for the stipulation match right away somewhat makes sense when we consider characters.

Um…while I’m aware this is a site devoted to the ladies of the business, to say TNA ‘got it right’ in terms of PPV booking is an incredible overstatement.
A pay-per-view with Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and X-Pac on it as compared to Undertaker versus Shawn Michaels II…yeah. TNA’s really knocking it out of the park.

I would like if they extended the feud, but I’m happy for Daffney and I hope she wins the title. She’s really deserving and cool and she is one of the few knockouts who still haven’t got any gold in the company.

i hope tara will win but theres always a twist like Dr.stevey came out to get daffney off tara mayb he will join forces with tara because they were together in WWE so hopfully there is some kind of twist because i love twist but i dont think daffney will win…..
but having daffney lose a hardcore match is really bad as its her concept of match

she’s the only current knockout not to hold gold, unless you include lacey – did they ever clear up the freebird or not freebirds rule??
hopefully they do find a way to stretch this feud out.. at least letting it finish at lockdown. i’m hoping neither tbp nor love get involved on sunday. with it being on ppv we could possibly see dr stevie get involved as their no male on female violence rule only applies to impact. that could bring this feud to the next level, while at the same time moving away from the beautiful people/angelina scene.

OMG I can’t wait to see this match, I think Daffney will go crazy and cut herself open causing Tara to retain which will lead to a match at lockdown where they’re no DQ’s and blood won’t stop the match, I can see TNA doing that
Man I love this fued, this Daffney push has been worth the wait. Tara and Daffney already had a match and it ended in DQ so it makes sence that TNA made this a gimmick match, can’t wait to see it

I actually think Tara should have a long title run to make the title change a bigger deal later, but this First blood stipulation seems to point to a Daffney win. All it would take is Tara getting busted in the mouth with a kick or a foreign object (more likely), and she loses without blading. I assume a bloody mouth or nose would count, and it’s a way to change the belt without Tara really doing the job.
I’d be happy for Daffney, but I think the belt has been changed too much recently. I do think it will be a fun match.
