I had the chance to watch some of the old WrestleMania matches that I missed out, and I’ve got to say the Hair match bettween Victoria and Molly Holly was amazing, it told a story and I think that’s what’s missing nowadays.

My favorite match is Mickie vs Trish at Wrestlemania 22.
But i have to say that the 18 – 20 Ones are pretty epic themselves.

I haven’t been a women’s wrestling fan long enough to fully appreciate the older ones, but Lita is the diva that initially brought me around to this mild obsession of mine.

Nonetheless, I voted for Mickie/Trish at Wrestlemania 22. Epic.

i’m a bit disappointed sable vs tori didn’t make the cut, but i guess that’s more for nostalgia reasons for me. i’ve only seen one maybe two of those matches left. shows how long i was out of the wrestling loop for lol.

How on earth did the Playboy Pillowfight make the top 8!? That “match” was just TERRIBLE. I voted for Chyna vs. Ivory ..Only those who were watching WWE at the time of that feud can truely understand how epic the buildup and that match actually were.

How did those 3 Playboy matches get through? That boggles me..the Bunnymania match wasn’t all that good and the other two weren’t matches at all. I guess it just amazes me with the rich history of women’s wrestling and the fact that most of it is on the web and therefore accessible that none of the older matches got through. Alundra Blaze and Wendi Richter paved the way, and Blaze especially was a better wrestler than most of the women nowadays. I’m in the minority though.

I went with WM 20. Victoria/Molly told a story, had a good SL build up, and were/are two of the best of the decade in the ring. The fact that Molly was willing to have her head shaved (and looked damn good bald!) just to get a women’s match on the card shows her dedication to the sport. Moreover she was a great heel. Fans cared about this match. This is more of what we need nowadays.

The Playboy Evening match was entertaining, I mean all the girls ‘did their thing’ , played to the crowd and all the typical catfight spots were there.. I liked it to be honest but it certainly isn’t ‘top 8′ …Victoria vs Molly hmmmm I wanted to like it, I really did because I respect them both so much but the match just didn’t do anything for me.. It never really got out of first gear for me, it looked like they were going to tell a story with the pace of the match and then out of nowhere it was finished. I disagree about the Fans caring about the match, there wasn’t much fan interest up until Molly got her head shaved, but gotta give her huge ups for that!

My top three:
1. Mickie vs. Trish – Aside from the botched finish, a good match with some memorable moments.
2. Jazz vs. Victoria vs. Trish – A very physical match. Told a good story.
3. Victoria vs. Molly – Underrated match. Love the sacrifice of Molly to shave her head.

Only 5 “real” matches made the cut. Kinda sad. We all have to admit that the Divas are under-utilized. And these “gimmick” matches they’re being forced into is just ridiculous. Santino as “Miss Wrestlemania” after ALL of the sacrifices these ladies make? My vote is WM22, Trish and Mickie. You can talk about the “botched” finish, and I agree, it looked bad, but remember, Trish had just kicked the ringpost earlier in the match. Maybe…?

It’s a tough one between WrestleMania 19 & 22 for me. But I think Victoria vs. Trish vs. Jazz was the better match.

I am still voting for the Trish Stratus VS. Mickie James match cause i loved psycho mickie and also this was Trish last Wrestlemania :)
But i still cant believe how those Playboy matches got there?
