Diva Dirt begins a new tradition during WrestleMania weekend this year — the Alternative WrestleMania Match. Given WWE’s subpar treatment of the Divas around this time, we decided to take matters into our own hands and give women’s wrestling fans a WrestleMania worthy match of our own.
The Alternative ‘Mania Match, each year, will spotlight the very best in independent women’s wrestling. There is a world out there beyond the Divas and the Knockouts and with this free stream, we hope to introduce fans to the amazing women’s wrestling that is out there just waiting to be seen!
This year’s Alternative Match comes from ChickFight, in conjunction with Pro Wrestling Revolution, and is between Cheerleader Melissa aka Alissa Flash and MsChif. Watch below:

Commenting to Diva Dirt, Melissa says of this match: “One of my most brutal matches with MsChif. I just remember how insane that day was… including the fans. But definitely one of my most memorable matches.”
Speaking to Diva Dirt, current SHIMMER Champion, MsChif said: “Melissa is definitely one of the most talented women in wrestling. I know every time I get in the ring with her it’s going to be something great. This match for PWR was one of those examples. I look forward to every match with Melissa because I know we’ll both put everything we have into it. Every time we wrestle, we’ll both come out bruised and sore and yet never regret a thing we did. This match was certainly no exception. It was among the top matches of our most grueling.
It’s awesome to hear that Diva Dirt would choose this match as their first to showcase as an Alternative ‘Mania Match. It’s a type of match you’ll unfortunately never have the opportunity to see on TV, let alone ‘Mania. So hopefully the fans of women’s wrestling will pick up on Diva Dirt’s alternative ‘Mania matches and log in to some great times!”

i liked the match i just honestly didn’t get why the heck the ref wasn’t making counts outside the ring when the match was a “Falls Count Anywhere” so that didn’t make sense at all..but overall it was good and thank you so much Diva-dirt and clickwrestle for doing this!
and not to be racist or anything, but lol at the part where the little kids were like “ARE YOU MEXICAN!?”

I totally agree.
I never criticizing DD for posting the match I was just saying that I don’t think the match is all that great. And even disliking that match does not mean me or anyone else is a women’s wrestling hater.

To put the WWE Divas in the same league with Ms. Chif & Melissa is laughable. Anyone whom saw the tag match at Wrestlemania this evening and thought that match even compared to this one, is either brainless or can’t tell the difference between a wristlock & a wristwatch! In either case, there is no hope for the uneducated wrestling fan!

I think there are some people who will just never be able to see wrestling outside of the mainstream garbage that they see on TV week after week.
Cheerleader Melissa and MsChif always have really good matches with each other and this was no exception. It’s just really sad that people will never understand/respect the actual aspect of wrestling.
