It looks as though FCW’s Courtney Taylor has indeed been released from her developmental contract. Sources indicate that word has been spreading to that affect amongst the FCW talent in the last couple of days. Furthermore, Taylor was not present at last night’s television tapings.
Courtney, real name Beverly Mullins, had her profile removed from the official FCW website on Wednesday night which is usually an indication that a talent has been cut.
Taylor’s release marks the second Diva to be cut from the developmental roster in 2010. Jenny Quinn, who competed as Jenny/Penny Cash was let go in February. Click here to listen to our interview with her.
Given that Courtney was in the developmental system for nearly two years, it seems like a heck of a long time to invest into someone and then just let them go. I am wondering if she perhaps requested her release, though obviously that’s just conjecture on my part. Details should begin surfacing in the coming weeks.

I think everyone knows I was disappointed by this, I think she came a long way from the model that began by doing bra & panties matches, she developed into an all round wrestler and broadcast talent and I think she had a great run, especially with Alex Riley.
As I said before, its strange why like Jenny, she was released alone so it either means she was released because they had nothing for her or she requested it. Hopefully Diva DIrt can do an interview with her too once the contract period is over, she was one of the original FCW TV Divas (alongside The Bellas, Savannah, Rosa, Alicia and Tiffany) it’d be good to hear more from her.
sucks. i hope she carries on training hard and doesn’t give up on wrestling. if it was the case of her asking for her release, hopefully everything’s okay in her personal life.
Oh well, but I wish her good luck.
It’s not that much of a surprise. Think about it.. she has been training for 2 years and although she isnt “bad” in the ring, she isnt “great” either. And she definately is goodlooking, but her looks arent really unique comparing to the other blondes in WWE. Like many wrestlers mentioned in interviews: if you want to make it, you have to stand out. She is ok in the ring and goodlooking, but she doesnt really have anything that sets her apart from the other divas.
Sad to see her go, but more than 50% of developmental talent gets released sooner or later. She was the last of the ‘old’ FCW divas i think, so probably we wont see any more FCW divas get released in 2010.

Talk is that Gail Kim and Santino Marella will be at the April 23rd tapings.

xAzureSkye, you could argue either way about Jillian Beyor, on the one hand she did appear on FCW, though never added to the roster and she was only seen at one or possibly two television tapings, therefore adding speculation whether she was signed to a long term contract or not. In short, she was part of FCW, but technically never a roster member. I guess it would be correct to say it yours or Melanie’s way.
Looking Glass, good point actually, since we only saw her in a segment that she didnt even speak in she cant really be referred to as a roster member, I’m surprised that WWE released a beautiful woman, they usually poke fun at the ”ugly” or ”fat” Divas

Not a total shocker kind of sad for her, but I wish her only the best in her future goals and endeavors!
i hope you girls at Diva Dirt will get to interview Courtney in the future…getting her side of the story…what it was like wrestling…stuff like that…would really love to hear from her :) it was disappointing to see her just being let go -shrugs-
remember when she took time off as soon as she was called up? for vacation?
i hope tna doesnt find out that she was on ecw two or three times. they will fire hamada and hire her.
