honestly i dont think wwe was thinking in pushing Eve
they just need someone to take the title from Maryse..
so that means that there is some bigger plans for Maryse, and i can see her return to SD clearly cause SD was her show, she grew up there, she was pretty dominant, and in somehow WWE thought that she may be as GREAT as she was on SD on RAW #EPICFAIL .. cause she kinda didnt fix there..
so if she is moving to SD.. i would love to see her taking on Beth.. with a Who is the Glama Diva Feud.. cause if you remember Survivor Series 2008 Match .. OMG those were like the best 2 minutes of the match..
So, who is coming to RAW.. maybe they are moving Michelle cause she is like the dominant Heel on entire WWE not just SD, and also there is Alicia on RAW already so they can Reunit and use Alicia like her Fierce Mate… and taking the Ttitle from Eve. Feud with Gail and then Melina return..

you know i was kinda shocked when i heard about it but reading others comments really makes me think.
1. Did the WWE just give the title to Eve or did she work hard for it.
2. Are there other divas more deserving of it or was it just her time.
3. If im upset about her reign would that make me seem hypocrytical.
4. Can Melina possibly be sending more than one message from her tweets (which i think she is).
5. Will she be able to give it credibility and make it mean something. and last
6. By the time the draft comes will this even mean anything to WWE or the fans?

Im kinda disappointed that Eve is champ now. I think if WWE were planning on Making Maryse beat Eve [for her 3rd divas title reign] in time for Melinas return, then it would have been better if they made Eve win the Divas title tournament, that way Maryse would have been able to defeat her for her 2nd title reign and so that she wouldnt have had such a crappy and short reign as champion. And if WWE is planning on Melina returning and feuding with Maryse then it would be kinda dumb as they have nothing to battle over. And if WWE makes Maryse a 3 time divas champion then IMO thats too much. But this could be good as Eve could have challengers like Alicia or Jillian( who DESERVES more than any diva a title shot) or some Smackdown divas depending on the draft, but i doubt they would split up Michelle and Layla. So IMO the next Divas champion should be Jillian, or if WWE decides to do a face vs face match for the title with Eve vs Gail then that works too!
For those people who are following Melina on twitter, I have to say that the past tweets regarding the Eve vs Maryse match, that she has tweeted is probably the opinion of every person who actually cares for the diva division.

I dont really mind that Eve has the title. Let’s face it, does it really matter wether Maryse or Eve is the champion? They arent going to make use of the Raw divas anyway. Besides, the Diva Championship is only the minor title, it was created so that the “models” could also wear a belt.
Most likely the decision to give Eve the belt has to do with the Draft next week. Either they are moving Maryse to Raw and want to keep the belt on Raw. Or they are moving Michelle to Raw and want to put the diva belt on Smackdown (without moving Maryse).
Dayummm, mixed feelings, WWE has FINALLY got us excited and talking BUT turning Gail heel WOULD make it probably the best night in YEARS.

I was thinking more about this on my commute home and I think what makes a title legitimate isnt who has the belt, but the manner in which they required it. For example, Sable can barely work. However, when she won that belt from Jacqueline she appeared to be a legitimate, fighting champion because a high quality feud occurred. On the opposite end, Gail Kim won it in a battle royale her first night. It was clear that Gail could wrestle, but she hurt the belts legitimacy by winning it first night. Same with Angelina Love winning the knockouts belt in a box. hurts the belt.
It didnt really matter who was in the match. Even if Gail had won it tonight, it wouldnt make the belt more legitimate because no feud occurred before it switched hands.
Until the RAW writers actually spend as much time on their booking of the divas as the video package people do on the diva internet promos, we wont have a legitimate champion.
Ooh! I never thought of that! Maybe they wanted Maryse to lose the title because they’re gonna move her back to SD in the draft! That would TOTALLY make it worth while!
…but the WWE won’t do that. They always do the opposite of what I want to have happen…

Gail COULD wrestle and thats why winning on her first night was right, and it switched it up a bit in the WWE, made for the whole Molly/Trish/Lita/Gail/Victoria feuds over the next year, that was an AMAZING era.
I’m a little bit shocked reading that Eve won. I guess nobody thought of that and this also means that this was a divas match were almost all the predictions were wrong. Big surprise to most of us, right? The only predictable fact is that the match was short but that is nothing new on raw. If WWE does not plan to drop Maryse and make her the valet of the Miz I would be satisfied. I really want to know who is going to be the next contender. I really hope Alicia and Jillian but my biggest wish would be Katie Lea. If it’s a heel turning Gail Kim I would be pleased, too.
I said Gail could work. She can. But winning the belt the first night, for many critics hurt the belt and the division, especially since jazz was in a feud with ivory at the time. I think Gail should be pushed too. My argument was its not necessarily who is the champion, but how they became champion that gives the title its prestige.
Another scenario, Awesome Kong signs with RAW and wins the Divas title. While that would be great for me as a kong fan, id be upset that she didnt get a program with another girl before winning it. The win would make no sense. Winning the title from Maryse in a randomly thrown together match wouldnt help the belt, no matter who was champion.
crazy how people say she does not deserve the belt we all got what we wanted someone who’s not always in the title picture so be happy for eve
I would not be surprised if the WWE only gave Eve the title so that Maryse can win it a 3rd time and be a 3 time champ.

I’m hoping for Eve to show us a fighting spirit underdog type role, before being defeated by somebody more experienced ala Jillian around June, before Jilly dropping the title to Gail Kim September-time. x

Seriously, how long has it been since they did a divas triple threat on TV? Maybe since that bad Mickie vs Beth vs Melina match? And it is a TAG triple threat match too? The last thing I remember anything remotely like that was like ten years ago. haha
Plus, more Bellas is always a good thing to me. Lovable, hot chicks who are only trashed in the ring cuz people like complain or something.

She had less than 2 years of experience as a wrestler, so how does that make it any different than Eve winning? Gail was a decent wrestler back then, but she was actually one of the least skilled wrestlers (compared to Jazz, Jacqueline, Molly, Victoria, and even Trish/Lita). So you can’t say that Gail winning the title is right, and Eve winning it isnt.
Well maybe Melina will once again turn heel now. Saying in her tweets that Eve isn’t championship material and all that…Maybe it’s a slow blossom to the old Melina? (remember the rants she used to have with Candice Michelle, it was all for the business.) So I believe Melina will return heel and win the diva’s title from Eve.
omg congrats to EVE, i think she is good at wrestling and i guess WWE saw that, but at the same time I’m slightly nervous about this, at least there is a possibility of Jillian, Alicia or katie lea taking the title next, maybe Maryse will be moving to the blue brand, the draft must be soon

i understand everyone grip about Eve winning but least they put on a girl who in her 2 mins do more then Maryse (i know maryse is written to wrestle like that) but still i like it i agree with Voldemaart we all been saying that Raw is predictable, we thought that Maryse will retain by kicking beaten up then out of no where she would pull out her DDT but i also agree its too early they have a PPV coming up they should have build it up.
lol if Gail Kim goes heel again for her 2nd time in WWE i hope they give her personality cause when she was in Raw back in fall of 03 to the fall of 04 as a heel she played 2nd banana to MH and was stale as dirt, so plz WWE you let Michelle show personality (or what she thinks is personality) and u let Maryse show personality (no matter how old her gimmick gets) so let Gail if that’s the route you want to go. personally i would turn on K2 for the past 2 wks she cost Gail the title and congrats Eve for making history, hey it could be worse Ashley could be holding the title let me catch my breath on that thought.
Maryse winning the title back in a rematch was a notion that was running through my head, too. So please let Eve retain.

I am more shocked because Eve has been really sloppy as of late and there are at least 4 or 5 more women who I would have gave the belt too before Eve. I guess management love her.
