PPV Predictions: TNA LockDown 2010
Tonight, the TNA Knockouts Championship and Knockouts Tag Team Championships are on the line in a ‘Winner Take All’ tag team match set in a steel cage. Who will hold all the gold — The Beautiful People’s Madison Rayne & Velvet Sky or Angelina Love & Tara? The Diva Dirt writers weigh in:
Cryssi: I would basically bet a pair of brand new Steve Madden Zinah pumps on the fact Angelina & Tara will walk out of LockDown as the new Tag Team Champions. TNA isn’t ballsy enough to pull a swerve and put the Knockout Championship on a member of the Beautiful People, so we all need to prep ourselves for Angelina vs. Tara part whatever it is. It’s inevitable these two end up feuding for the Knockout Championship and more than likely it’ll go the route of frenemies and tag partners turned extremely bitter enemies.
David: I think The Beautiful People win all the belts tonight, which I like because then Love and Tara can keep feuding and TBP now have a bunch of belts that can start to cause some internal conflict.
Erin: I’m basing this one on which title(s) are more likely to change hands. While TNA seems fit to hand the Knockouts Championship around like it’s a prize in a Crack Jack box (sorry.. I mean a lock box), I seriously doubt it’s going to jump to another Knockout so soon. Add to that the fact that the Tag Titles have been held by Madison and Velvet for over a month (a long time only in comparison to the Knockouts Championship), and they seem more due for a switch. Thus, I’m betting that Angelina & Tara will win, with Angelina getting the pin to hold on to her Knockouts Title and bring the Tag Titles to her and Tara. Strange bedfellows feud, anyone?
Melanie: I feel that the result of this match is pretty predictable but given that we’ve seen some pretty awful shit from the Divas and Knockouts of late, sign me up for some predictability if it leads to a half-decent storyline. As mentioned, it seems that Tarangelina will pick up the Tag Team Championships and then slowly implode and eventually feud for the Knockouts Championship. Angelina & Tara to take the win.
Steven: TNA has made some bad decisions as of late, but I don’t think they’re dumb enough to put all the gold on The Beautiful People. Like the others have said, the more likely situation is for Angelina & Tara to win the belts, then play up the tension between the two until it builds to a full blown feud. However, with all the gold tied up in a Angelina/Tara feud, what’s left for the other Knockouts to do?

like to see how TBP would handle having their no 2 as the no 1 in TNA

I hope to all that is good in this world and the next that it’s Angelina and Tara who win tonight.
UNLESS, Madison gets the pin on Angelina and becomes the KO Champion, THAT would be interesting, to see how Velvet would react to being “upstaged” (as she put it when Lacey stripped off a couple of weeks ago) and, if it drove a wedge betweeen her and Madison, who’s side Lacey would end up on, how it would affect the tag team belts and also what Angelina and Tara would do.
I realise that would mean a ridiculously short singles reign for Ang, but that is what I’d really like to see.

I Believe Angelina/Tara Are Takinq The Gold Because The Feud Would Get More Interestinq and It Would Be Like When Shawn M/John Cena*2007 Current Tag Team Champions* Feud Was Going On Shawn Eliminated John Cena Out Of The Battle Royal Tht Was Going OOn For the Tag Titles Fus Leaving Matt/Jeff Winning. Too Bad TBP had A Bad Reign As Tag Champs. Angelina Would Also Become First Ever Knockout To Hold Both TNA Women Champion Belts At The Same Time. Either Way We Will Crown New Tag Champs or New Champion.

This is a really tough call, Tara seems to be going heel I’m thinking Angelina will go for a tag but get rejected by Tara. But then what’s the point of Tara going heel if they can’t feud for the Knockouts belt? Uh.. I guess there’ll be some bad blood between Tara and Angelina but they’ll end up winning, yeah that sounds right. lol Plus I don’t see Velvet or Madison as Knockout champ material no offense to them, so unless one of them pulls an Eve Torres and sleeps with someone with a lot of power for the belt then Angelina and Tara will win.

What a stupid idea this is >_> What is the point of putting two of the championships the Knockouts fight for on one Knockout?
Personally, I’d love to see the Beautiful People take it, Velvet or Madison I’m not fussed – I’d like to see how it all pans out. It’d be great for Angelina to double-cross Tara and rejoin the Beautiful People tonight.
Which could work as Velvet & Madison would stay Tag-Team Champions, Angelina as Knockouts Champion – The Knockouts locker room should all join up and form a revolution against the powerful trio with Tara as the leader – Angelina, Velvet & Madison could also kick out Lacey and she could join in with the revolution. Lacey’s so sweet that I think she’d be believeable as a girl trying to improve.
This sounds vaguely familiar I swear I’ve heard this from someone else, Possibly Diva-Dirt ahaha. x

I hope and pray that it’s angelina and tara who win tonight. and feud as tag team partners. though highly predictable, it’s far more interesting than seeing any of tbp as knockout’s champion..-shudder-.

Well if TBP win, surely Velvet will claim the KO’s title? I think to give the title to anyone in TBP other than Madison Rayne would SERIOUSLY taint it’s legitimacy.

Give the belt to Hamada or Sarita someone AMAZING not average like TBP or good like Angelina or Great like Tara.
Let’s face it Hamada and Sarita are the most talented Women in TNA and they rival most men, they’re definately both top 10 in the company, even top 5.

This would make so much more sense if lacey von erich was involved as then she would get the KO title and i would understand it then, but by just having the two how would you decide which one gets the belt i think it is so silly espcially as all 3 were originally the champs but velvet and madison hog the belts so know i am totally confused as to who the actual champs are

I’d love to see Madison become Knockout’s Champ. She totally deserves it, and Velvet would be, quote on quote, “upstaged”. It would definitely lead to an interesting angle, and of course Madison would just HAVE to turn face!!!

@litafan123 whoever pins the perso gets the belt so if tara or angelina pin either of tbp they become tag champ but if madison pins tara or angelina she becomes champ and the same for velvet
and i think it could be alot more interesting if tbp win tonite i agree let madison pin tara then angelina and tara can fued over tara costing angelina the belt and tbp can implode cuz madison is KO champ

I agree with Kaledrina – that is what I want to see, I don’t want one knockout hogging all the gold and besides Angelina is a born-heel, Eventually her face run will run dry, whilst teaming up as the leader of TBP will work out a lot better this time as they have clarified Angelina as the main wrestler going for the Knockouts Championship and leader, and Madison & Velvet as the co-existent tag-team going after the Knockouts Tag-Team Championships. x

@Evan, I agree, I disslike Eve.
But now I have a new found respect for her after seeing her in the Jiu Jitsu video, although this could have been made to look biased and as if she is amazing. In the video’s she’s just practising, the guy doesn’t fight back, so you get me..
Also YES there are people of ALL AGES on here I am a teenager myself, and there are some immature comments and I also find that some things I say are immature and not thought through before I say them, BUT I have learnt to respect others views more by being on this sight and to take criticism and to say sorry etc etc etc
I do however hate when people try to make out certain Divas are crap just because people are fans of some of the, let’s say ‘lesser’ Divas.
