F4WOnline.com (by way of PWPix.net) is reporting that the WWE is set to release the first all-Diva DVD since 2006′s “Divas Do New York”. Apparently, it will be formatted like the DVDs of the past, with on-location photoshoot segments dominating the feature, accompanied by a compilation of matches.
If this report is true, I’m glad to see the WWE giving the Divas the DVD treatment again. It was a fun tradition they had going for a while, and I was disappointed to see them discontinue it in favor of WWE.com-based location photoshoots. It would be great to see some of the newer, post-“DDNY” Divas like Maryse and Katie Lea have some fun and possibly break character in the process.
I just hope the theme is decent and the title doesn’t sound like something you’d find behind a curtain at your local video store. “Divas Do New York” was a little too “Debbie Does Dallas” for my taste.

I really hope this is true and WWE releases another DVD of the Divas!
I would like see a “History of the WWE Divas” DVD, where they could put the greatest Diva matches on the DVD with interviews and stuff like that. I think that would be better than a photoshoot DVD but I’ll take whatever they give us at this point.
I’d love to see a special edition 2 or 3 disc Blu-Ray/DVD with tons of matches where maybe a handful of them could be “never before seen” dark matches, house show matches or matches created solely for the Blu Ray/DVD on top of the higher profile matches and photoshoots.
Sweet! I loved these DVDs. Up front they look like a total T&A fest but they provide a fun, out of character looks at the Divas and the bonus matches and segments don’t hurt either.
I liked Tropical Pleasures because Ivory and Sharmell both looked so pretty.
I liked South of the Border the best. The women’s roster was never any better.
im so happy about this,i know last month there was talk of a divas dvd coming out but it was gonna be on the history of the division,and now this,which ever one it is im excited,ive been waiting for a divas dvd since 2007 i was so upset wen they didnt do one for the 2007 magazine(the final divas magazine).hopefully they start doin the diva magazines again also,i have the divas undressed,south of the border,viva las divas,and divas do NY dvds so this just makes my day
Sort of the same topic. Why did they discontinue the Divas Magazine Tradition anyway? I loved collecting those magazines. Have Divas 2003-2006.
YAY!! Cant wait!!! My favorite was South of the Border back in 2004, many classic pictures of Lita and the other divas came from this shoot. This DVD will feel sorta weird without Trish, Lita & Torrie in it.
Im also hoping they soon release a Best of the Women’s Championship DVD soon!!

I truly feel this is the best way to split the Divas in the WWE. On the draft, they could announce McCool to RAW (Layla in supplemental) or just LayCool to RAW. For SD!, they could announce Maryse (since Melina is MIA). On SD!, you’ve got 6 faces and 3 heels, but when you think about it, Bellas don’t have to wrestle all that much which leaves 4 faces and 3 heels. Or, the Bellas turn heel, becoming Maryse’s lackeys (Post Raw Show) or Gail Kim turns heel to balance the equation.
The main players on RAW are Eve (Divas Champ), McCool, Mickie, to let Eve shine on RAW, without too many overpowering faces, hence the reason to draft Melina to SD!. I think Mickie would work better on RAW since Beth will probably be champ and she has already had her shot, so anyone else can step up to challenge Beth. I know the roster’s might seem lop-sided to SD! in terms of technical prowess but unless something changes, RAW will always be about the T & A, so it won’t hurt them, whereas on SD!, we have a plethora of amazing encounters and feuds that haven’t even been touched yet.

I think WWE should start working on a Video Called : The History Of The WWE Womens Championship! They could have past nd present former womens champions make comments on what the ttitle mean to them , they could have divas just you know talk abt their carrer , feature some of the best women title matches…
I’ve always enjoyed these DVDs but here’s my concern–there are so many frickin’ divas how on Earth would they be able to utilize them all? I think even DDNY was pushing it. For example: Tropical Pleasure from 2002 only had 9 divas and this year they’d be looking at how many, about 18 divas? I would love to see something new but realistically it seems impossible–fitting in 18 segments plus extras… WWE, you have to do some spring cleaning on the diva’s division (and I say that as an extreme diva fan, fyi)
awesome lets the divas personality show,even if each girl got 5 minutes photoshoot & 5 mins interview thaT would be ok,im hoping they release history of the womens championship thou one day.
From what I understand. The DVD is meant to highlight Divas of the past and present. It is not your typical Divas DVD although I’m sure WWE couldn’t help themselves but throw some photoshoots in there…and I know Trish Stratus is 100% confirmed for the project. So far she is the only DIVA confirmed. Basically they’re going to talk about womens roles with some old matches thrown in there as well as some recent ones. I hope Molly, Lita, Jackie, and Ivory are part of it.
anybody notice two things….1. non of the divas in these pics r there now and 2. Trish is the only won the got a proper goodbye from the WWE…sad really… i guess cuz trish is the Hulk Hogan of the division!
