The only good thing to come out of last week’s Baywatch themed match is that WWE managed to get some recognition on the hilarious E! series, The Soup last Friday night. Joel McHale mocked guest host David Hasselhoff sitting at ringside watching on the as the three teams of Divas competed in red one-pieces.

Okay, so this may have just been an excuse to get some Soup/Joel McHale’s hotness on Diva Dirt, but it was funny nonetheless. Obviously, we’re not on E! or anything, but we too mocked Hasselhoff’s creepy uncle act on last week’s Post Raw & Impact Show, but it’s more appealing when Joel McHale does it.

  1. It was only a matter of time before one of these ridicules matches gets made fun the losers of the match are everyone in the ring who took part in the match.

  2. I felt incredibly embarassed for the raw diva’s. I just know that until the guest host gimmick is over with, this won’t change.

  3. God, i love Joel McHale.

  4. The Bellas are mentioned briefly in the segment after the Hoff one.

  5. I had to laugh in spite of myself. Watching that match made me want to punch that creepy grin of The Hoff’s old-ass face. The guy hasn’t been relevent since the late 80s! Why does Vinny Mac and The Gang think that he would bring in ratings?

  6. “Why does Vinny Mac and The Gang think that he would bring in ratings?”

It was proven numerous times that the guesthosts dont draw ratings (there are a few exceptions). The main reason why they have guesthosts however is not the ratings, but the media attention they recieve. As long as you have shows like E! or the numerous gossip shows talking about the guests appearing on WWE, they will continue with this concept.

  7. @ Mikas- I get that, but wouldn’t it hurt the WWE brand more if they are being mocked as the home of D list celebs that people couldn’t care less about? I get that “there’s no such thing as bad publicity ” and all of that, but they are seriously losing even their most loyal fans with all this Guest Host crap.

  8. If WWE really wanted to draw some better attention to themselves, there’d be some high profile hosts, not has beens. Tried getting Tiger Woods but I think he turned it down. No chance someone like Lady Gaga would either, especially when the non-wrestling world has such a negative view of WWE and wrestling in general.

  9. i read chelsea handler was ripping on the hoff and wwe at some point earlier this week, too.

i guess it’s a good thing? afterall, people are talking about wwe.

  10. i just called him “the hoff”? i feel dirty.

  11. NT86 brought up a great point, hardly any of the guest hosts have been people the world cares about. Like Cheech and Chong? Who the hell are they? And The Hoff is just creepy as hell. Shaquille O’ Neal has probably been the only high profile credible celebrity name to host RAW. Oh and Ricky Hatton here in the UK was quite a good acquisition.

Onto that clip, his jokes were kind of lame. He was right to hassle the hoff but his jokes were still awful. :P

Zephyr5326 — Negative comments about the godly Joel McHale are not welcome here :)

  12. Seeing this match outside of our little Monday night realm, it seems even cheaper than it initially did.

  13. Joel McHale is silly!! I’d do it if his lips were glued together!!

  14. AHHH! I love the soup! Joel McHale is freakin awesome!
I do remember watching this part though…..every week i think that he’ll make fun of something a guest host did and this time he actually did.
