The Glamazon, Beth Phoenix has won her third Women’s Championship, defeating Michelle McCool at Extreme Rules moments ago.
Beth pinned McCool after hitting the Glam Slam. The switch came in an awesome Extreme Makeover Match, the first of its kind, which saw the two Divas battle using several props.

This match was great but as always the one thing that can make or break a match is the crowd reaction and the crowd wasn’t that into it :(

I’d hardly call it awesome but compared to what we’re used to getting from the diva’s it was good. Michelle McCool lacks the charisma, the ‘X’ or ‘entertainment’ factor to put these matches over and get the crowd into it, as the crowd was fairly quiet for most of the match.
i feel like a crappy diva fan but the match wasn’t all that for me? congrats to beth nevertheless!
pretty much confirms a raw move for laycool now. which could be great – especially if it means putting maryse back on smackdown.

I wish the match could have been a little longer, like around 8-10 minutes, and more extreme. But hey, beggars can’t be choosers.
Still, it was a great and entertaining match and one of the best, if not the best, diva matches this year so far.

The match was unique and I’m happy whenever they put divas singles matches on a PPV Card! Seeing as to how I’m a major Beth phoenix nerd it made it more enjoyable! Congrats to The Glamazon!

I’m really glad Beth won, but that match was pitiful to watch. Half of the time I was laughing more than actually paying attention to what was going on. The only good part was Beth winning.
the match wasn’t all that great to me, but its better than the matches we get on Raw/Smackdown. They didn’t even use the make up ! I was hoping Beth would put Michelle thru the table.. the match in general lacked creativity. I guess I was expected much much more.

They need to stop putting the divas match so late in the show. The fans are all douches and don’t appreciate the women’s division, so why they put the divas match so late in the card all the time is beyond me. The crowd kinda ruined it for me, it could have been so much more memorable if the crowd was into it because it really was a good match.

Finally smackdown has a new woman’s champion (: I am so happy for Beth Phoenix. I am not going to go on and say what was bad about the match. Just be happy with what we were given tonight. It could have been alot worse.
Congrats to Beth on her third title and first as a face an dominate at that.One thing I notice in some of the comments is why put the diva’s matches on so late even like they did at Wm 26.Well it’s not cause they just slap it anywhere in the show or it doesn’t matter where the put it.Quite the contrary.It’s considered a MOOD alterating match .So after all the heavy drama matches ,this is an enterainment show and they have to have something to lighten up the mood of the crowd.And they only put Diva’s on pay per views that will work a good match,Beth and Michelle sure did put on a good show.The main thing is that Beth despite Vickie saying Beth would never have a title match with Michelle which I never believed for one second,Beth got her title match and on Extreme Rules.Not many Diva’s would get that.And Beth Phoenix “the GlamaZon” got her third Women’s title .Beth now can really enjoy her prize for working so hard in this past year.And now with the Draft coming tonight one has to wonder the landscape of the Diva’s with Both faces EVE and Beth both Belt holders.Which ever way it works Beth still has the Women’s title and Eve has the Diva’s title so they really don’t have anything to worry about.Everyone else does though.Only thing Beth and EVe have to worry about is where they work.Though I doubt they move.Michelle and layla do .Or if their even split up.That in itself could very well happen.
So happy Beth won, she’s looked amazing and performed exactly the same way. The reign of the 21st Century Femme-Fatale continues. :)

Great to see a womens title change hands cleanly without interference or some weird stipulations. The match was better than i expected it would be when they announced it.
Congrats to Beth. It was a good match, I just wish the crowd wasn’t so dead but then again after the snorefest that was HHH vs Sheamus, i’m sure i’d be half asleep. Now get LayCool to Raw and get one of them to win the Divas title.
It wasn’t the best match ever but honestly, i found it a lot of fun. I was expecting it to be much worse.
I actually like them using girly props for the girls. If I was in an extreme rules fight i’d be more likely to slap them with a make up bag than a steel chair :p
What do you mean the crowd was dead.When the ending came the announcers about went nuts and the crowd really went crazy during Beth ‘s Glam-Slam.I’ve went back and just watched it 3 times and the crowd was really into the match.And Beth herself couldn’t believe for a couple of seconds till the ref.came in and presented the title belt to Beth and they announced beth and she started to react when she knew she had done it.She almost broke done knowing something that meant so much to her was now hers..The crowd wasn’t into it HUh go back and take a look at the crowds reaction to her when she has Michelle up in the air ready for the Gam-Slam.
What a spotfest. No personality. No selling. No sense. No crowd reaction. Geez, people really want Michelle on Raw for what reason again? And it isn’t like they DON’T push Beth or Michelle. Heck, even Vickie and Layla’s goofy buns couldn’t make something happen.

When Michelle is involved certain people here keep looking for things to write something negative about her. And when they can’t find anything they just make something up.

Its true. Whenever Michelle is involved in anything it must be bad because she only has her spot because of undertaker etc etc etc etc.
Rubbish. She has been a relevation in the past year or so. Top female heel by a long shot and Lay-Cool is the best female pairing in wrestling right now (until Angelina and Velvet kiss and make up :-) )
Congratulations Beth. It was time for you to get another title. This might mean that Michelle is going to RAW…or not, but I’m happy.
Its been a while since Beth had gold around her waist and she is one of the most deserving competitors. I hope this title reign lasts for more than one month.

People said the crowd was dead because they were. They popped for Beth’s entrance and her win. They were dead for the part in between, which would be the match.
To add something to my previous post, I have never really understood the idea of a crowd cheering the finish when they didn’t make a peep during the match. It makes it look like the crowd is happy that the match is over.

Awesome match. What would have made it better would have been if Beth would have splashed McCool through the table. That would have been an awesome moment in the match. The makeup would have gone all over the place, making the move even more dramatic. But, that ironing boards where effective. Overall, it was a cool match. It showed us that the girls can get hardcore if the WWE lets them. It left me wanting more though, which is a good thing :)
Congratulations to Beth. After putting up with material like “Santina”, she deserves some love.
