This Saturday, May 8th, sees the launch of Pro-Wrestling: EVE, Europe’s answer to the likes of SHIMMER. With a roster including Sweet Saraya Knight, Jetta and WWE developmental-signed talent Jemma Palmer, EVE aims to showcase to the world just what European female wrestlers can bring to the table.
The show will take place at the Delphi Club in Sudbury, Suffolk in the UK on Saturday. Doors open at 6.30pm.
Ahead of EVE’s debut, I caught up with promoter Dann Read to discuss the launch of EVE, how the tapings will work, which talents he is looking forward to seeing and much more. Plus, we also get his thoughts on the Divas and Knockouts divisions and the release of his good friend, Katie Lea from WWE.

This sounds VERY interesting, especially the Catch division! They should use this division more often elsewhere. ;)
You HAVE to attend these shows Melanie, like Steven does with SHIMMER, you can be our PWE expert. ;-P
I’m so there! front row seats baby!!! It’s like a birthday present to myself urgh 23 on the 12th :S but anyways bring it on it’s gonna be AWESOME!!!
They should totally get Katarina (Katie Lea) in, they would do a lot with her.
*Looks at PWE and sees The Suicide Girl: Becky James* 0___0 CARDIFF WAAAAALES?!?!?!? . . . I might be in love… I mean she looked sexay enuf but now… FCUK YEAH! =3 lol Becky’s my girl mun, she’s got my back forever! WELSH PRIDE BEOTCH!!!!! >=-P
@Team Laycoolness!!! – LUCKY SOB!! >=( lol Scream and shout for both Jemma and (my new PWE fav, mostly for her) The Suicide Girl, Becky James, for me please. WELSH PRIDE FTW!!! >=D
Haha hell yeah I’ll use up all the air in my lungs for ya I can’t wait it’s gonna be wicked finally a good reason to be living in Sudbury… SERIOUSLY!!!
@Team Laycoolness!!! – Your overly lucky then since you actually live there. xD Maybe you can be our review guy, if your into that. Send Diva-Dirt live reviews when your there and you know… tell us stuff. xP
I usually like the Divadirt interviews, but this wasnt one of them. 40+ minutes was just too long, and it felt kinda like a 40-minute monologue. It was nice to learn more about EVE, but it was very hard to stay focussed listening to it.
@Mikas – Although I liked what I did hear about EVE, I didn’t hear much as the guy did sound like he was making a monologue, kinda dull and boring tbh. But that didn’t stop me from liking what I did here. Here’s hoping EVE becomes a big hit in the future. =-)
Well, that was exhausting.
Very passionate interview there from Dann, he loves to talk and leave long pauses haha but he sold the company great. If I lived closer to Suffolk, I’d go and support it yet I live too far. Excited to hear reports about the show though.
Well I didn’t find it boring or drawn out. It’s always interesting to get the perspective of a promoter, especially a womens wrestling promoter. It gives a different insight into such a niche product.
The shows sound exciting and he really put over the roster, I haven’t seen much of Blue Nikita, but I’ve read a lot about her. As well as Alpha Female. And i’m glad he’s shying away from bringing in girls from the states, this is essentially a european product, and making a name for themselves with european girls is probably the most important thing. Girls should be going to them, not the other way around.
Well yeah I’m deffo gonna take notes and hopefully I can borrow a camera to capture the nite XD can’t wait get my front row tickets in the morning!!!
