I BET WWE are KICKING themselves for not sending Gail Kim to SD! because now Tiffany and KK are the only faces and I wouldn’t say they could put on an AMAZING match, even though Tiffany is getting better, SD need a new face diva..
Tiffany has more personality than Kelly in my opinion. She’s a gorgeous gal too ;)
And over on the Knockout side of town there’s talk of turning Lacey Von Erich into a babyface and turning on the beautiful people. That’s messed up. She’s the worst wrestler of the three and she couldn’t pull it off on her own. Her sloppy jumping kicks aren’t going to cut it. I hope TNA abandons this dumb idea.
It would only make sence for Michelle to be the new Women’s Champion, since she’s feuding with Beth and this was her rematch. This would be her third reign in less than a year (as Melanie said) which is a bit to much for any Diva.
But at the same time, her time as champion is getting kind of stale, just my opinion here. And as much as Michelle is growing on me, I would really love to see Layla as the new Women’s Champion. It would be sometihng new and fresh. Come Friday, if Michelle actually won the title, I won’t be suprised since WWE does have a lot of faith in her. There kind of pushing her as the heel Trish was back in 2004 – 2005.
Now on to Kelly Kelly. She is the only babyface Diva I see WWE pushing for the title. As Gail Kim #1 said, WWE is probably regreting not moving Gail to SD while they had the chance because now they only have Kelly & Tiffany as their face Divas on SD.
It’s going to be interesting to see where the SmackDown Division goes from here, because now it’s lopsided for sure.
Great show. I agree about Layla, I think I would prefer to see her with the Women’s Championship. Nothing against Michelle, but she’s had it a bit much this past year and I think they could do a little more with Layla winning (Layla vs. Michelle, Layla vs. Kelly). I’m also excited about Betsy Ruth. Accidents happen all the time in wrestling so the Daffney thing shouldn’t condemn her before she even gets started. TNA usually doesn’t waste anytime getting new signees on the show, so maybe we’ll see her as soon as next week.
I completely agree about the 3 titles in a year being too much. I think they need to wait a while before they put the title back on Michelle. Its like when Trish won the title 3 times in less than a year, her reigns began to get really stale really fast. I think Layla deserves a title reign, and as much as I dont want LayCool to split, a feud between the two could be great.
i don’t think it’s so much the 3 reigns in one year thing that bothers me (it doesn’t with tara or odb) but michelle is just still too boring for me.

i actually sort of like that idea.. it would work best if velvet and rayne turned on lacey, beat her down and have her written off ftv or a while. she could then go full speed ahead with the training off screen and then come back feuding with velvet and madison. hell, if they do turn lacey face, betsy could be a good partner for her.. call the team beauty and the brawn or something else typically tna =\
I hope you can get news for us soon Melanie, I’m dying for confirmation. Maybe they did this on purpose and there is no champion? They could set up a match with Layla vs Michelle to decide it, or they could hold the title up and have a battle royal/gauntlet?
I was thinking the same thing, that this is all to set up a match between the two to decide the champion.
i feel that something skipped the minds of you two today.
yes Beth Phoenix is out, and currently only Kelly and Tiffany are the only faces, which would ultimately put Kelly in the top face position…and although reports are saying kelly is on SD to be pushed, and the beginings of it started, maybe they were not impressed with her recent matches ie completely botching her handspring elbow…and maybe when Layla showed that she was capable enough to improvise, they may choose to push Layla.
If Michelle wins the title, i dont see why they cant have Layla be upset, that she won the match but not the title, Layla would be a lot more suited to be the top face over Kelly and Tiffany
I guess if lacey were to leave and train her behind the scenes..but knowing TNA, they could very well skip that part.
If Layla is the Womens Champion, well……..it would be a change of pace. I don’t mind. Not at this point anyway. All the face Divas seem to be dropping like flies. I guess Layla as Champion for a while can be a good thing and make for some interesting segments.
the new girl needs to speak louder and with more confidence…it’s very jarring to have the volume up so i can listen to tiffany, then melanie just busts through my speakers…act like you believe what you are saying girl…
why did they have to take the belt off of beth? didn’t michelle tweak her knee and not defend the belt for a while last year?
Yeah but Michelle is the E’s Golden Girl and I’m not sure why…..I like her myself. She’s turned into a good worker throughout the years. she just doesn’t have much charisma. She can’t even get good heel heat. Vickie Guerrero gets consistent heat compared to McCool. In order for Michelle McCool to remain relevant, they need to pull her out of the Title picture for a good while. That way when she returns it could be a big deal. She would be great with Dolph. Layla could turn into a good babyface and perhaps it’ll give her a longer shelf life. She could stick around after all.

My friend was at the show and he said the announcer announced Layla as the new champion and I hope he is right. Layla as champion would be great because Michelle as champion got boring last year
. I cannot believe that Beth dropped the title. However I myself have a whole theory on how this will turn out.
I think that Layla wins the title. Michelle beats the crap out of her, they face each other in a big paper-view blow of match. The end. Then of coarse Kelly Kelly will probably get a push and it’s alittle to early to tell if she’ll win the title. I can also see that we’ll see alot of Rosa Mendes and Tiffany or Tiffany Tiffany as Melanie likes to call her, on Superstars.
On to this Betsy Ruth deal. I have seen many matches on youtube after they announced she injured Daffney. She does seem alittle stiff, but all-in-all she does seem like a good wrestler. For a big girl she does have alot of confidence, looks and suprisingly agility. I kinda like her. I’m not saying Kong could be replaced, but if there going for a replacement she is the best for it. I just hope my Lizzie Valentine gets a freakin’ TNA contract of I’ll go through the roof.
I can kinda sense the Knockouts will come back slow and soon. However, if the WWE Divas can have a downfall for 4 years why can’t the knockouts have one for a few months. I think we can all agree 2007-2008 was by far the worst we’ve seen the divas. Let’s just cross our fingers and hope for the best.
I think of it like this. The WWE Divas came in generations. After the golden age of Trish and Lita, came the Pretty face age. At the end of last year, that generation came to end. Now, I think the reason the KO’s are stuggling is because there kinda trying to find there place on SPIKE, and such. So looks like this is the second generation of KO’s. There in the whole, scoop up as many WWE divas age. So, atleast we’ll see something interesting.
