Canadian wrestler, Cherry Bomb is to get a tryout before WWE’s Monday Night Raw taping tonight.
Cherry Bomb, real name Laura Dennis, is 23 years old and has previously wrestled at SHIMMER events on the pre-show, SPARKLE.
Tonight’s Raw emanates from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, home of Gail Kim and the legendary Trish Stratus.

Raw needs to do this more often IMO. Not sure who she is, but let’s wish her good luck.

@ Lita Fan: The post says she is having a tryout match, therefore that’s what she’s doing.
She’s getting a try-out as she can obviously wrestle and I’m all for more wrestlers, so I say good luck to her, I hope WWE sign her.
Want to make a bet that Cherry Bomb wrestles WWE Diva Gail Kim, and that Cherry Bomb wins the match in front of Gail’s home town crowd???
I am just happy that WWE is actually giving a woman who is an actual wrestler a chance, as opposed to finding a woman in a modeling catelog and passing her off as a wrestler. Lets hope this is a new trend for The E.
Isn’t Toronto her hometown too? I haven’t seen much of her recent stuff, but just getting a tryout must be a huge deal. If one never makes it to a full-term contract – just being given the time of day is a good thing.
I wish her the best of luck, and I hope this means more tryout matches for local wrestlers all over.
i dont think she will win the match bonepile. they usually dont win try-out matches.

Probably going to face Gail Kim or Natalya. Maryse is “too good” (irony) to be wasted in try outs. Anyways…good to see they’re scouting the indies. But that doesn’t mean anything. Becky Bayless (or Brooke Lynn if you watch Wrestlicious) already had a shot and wasn’t signed, even though she is way better than some of the models they tend to hire.
She’s pretty decent, so I’m looking forward to it. If she does a good job and gets signed, I would really be interested in her development.

Um what is she going to do, like how is she going to try out, it will be interesting to see what diva she works with, maybe it will be a dark match or something. Anyways i am exspecting great things from tonights show maybe Trish Stratus will make a little appearence that be awesome, also since it is Gail home town i exspect her to get a huge pop when she teams up with Air Bourne tonight, also the Hart dynasty oh i Just love Canda!!

Lets hope she does amazing because i have seen her wrestler and she is amazing hope they dont job her she is another wrestler with the mix of sexy,smart and powerful. she really doesnt have the diva look but tht doesnt matter her ring name cherry bomb suits a diva.
Tonight we will not be seeing gail vs cherry bomb because of evan/gail vs zack/alicia unless wwe wants to build a feud between alicia and gail, then gail vs cherry having alicia interfear and cherry can go HEEL and replace katie lea on RAW.

to be honest id expect her try out to either be against gail (because it is toronto), jillian or natalya because whether or not they get jobbed out they are the best talents on raw

My guess would be a dark match. But if not I could see her jobbing to Maryse or Eve in a singles match tonight. I also hope we get Gail Kim vs. Alicia Fox with Evan & Zack in their corners. Then Evan helps Gail win. I honestly don’t think we will see Trish Stratus tonight people. I’d love to see her involved somehow but I just don’t see it happening.

She actually kinda looks like mickie in a way… Especially with that clothing.. reminds me of mickie’s ring attire at the beginning… anyways… She must be a good wrestler if she is getting a try out… thats what they usually do…
and Trish Stratus should NOT get another title run today who ever said that… she is overrated and doesnt need more titles… She might make an appearence tonight.. but I dont see her wrestling becuase there is no point

LOL thats what i meant, thts why we wont be seeing cherry vs gail , because gail will be in a intergender tag team match later on tonight, i didnt say on the LIVE show.

Unless it was a closed door try-out match, Cherry Bomb didn’t work a match tonight. She did however appear with Goldust in a skit.
She is really pretty. She doesn’t have that look that most divas have now and days. And I am happy that the WWE is giving tryouts to wrestlers and not models. Hopefully this continues. Models are okay but this is wrestling. Not america’s next top model.

I went to Raw last night!!! i was looking forward to seeing her ‘tryout’ but there wasnt one!! i got there about 30 mins before the show started so i may have missed it but i doubt they would make a match that early, but as noted in the comments she was in a skit witth Goldust.
