Looks like former Knockouts Champion, ODB may have stepped into some doo-doo with TNA management when she made these comments last month. At the time she wrote, “WTF is happening to our division?”

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that ODB wasn’t brought in for this week’s Impact tapings where they’ll be taping a month’s worth of footage over three nights.

Elsewhere, on the radio show Wrestling Observer Live, it was noted that ODB was in line for a big push following Tara’s departure at Sunday’s Sacrifice PPV. However, that spot has gone to returning Knockout, Roxxi.

The truth, it seems, is a bitter pill to swallow…

  1. lol oh dear, all tho to be honest i would rather see Roxxi then constant ODB

  2. Good … I can’t stand ODB, she is not the best wrestler and her act gets old/stale FAST.

  3. TBH I don’t want to see either Roxxi or ODB to be pushed. Roxxi is over rated everytime she comes back. I’d rather see someone like Sarita get a major push.

  4. Well it’s not like I WANTED to see her get another lame push. She’s the one KO I couldn’t care less if she was released. Roxxi, Angelina or Sarita would do as top faces.

ODB’s a fine one to talk when she spent a month feuding with Cody Deaner over who the KO Champ was.

  5. as much as i appreciate her speaking the truth back then, she must realise it wasn’t very smart.

i do have to echo other’s sentiments, though, that not seeing odb isn’t a big deal for me. i’d rather see more hamada, sarita, taylor. hell, even more lacey. didn’t dixie state at the end of last year that odb just signed a multi year deal? if that’s so, there will be plenty of other big pushes in her future, i’m sure.

  6. Id say its time for Sarita to get a singles push. She’s the perfect choice. She’s both good looking and a talented in ring artist. Why not? She can bring excitement back to the division. Madison Rayne just doesn’t cut it. She’s boring and mediocre in the ring. She doesn’t bring anything different to the table. I think she’s very generic. That’s just my opinion though…Sarita could have used that angle against Victoria for a solid push. She’s more than ready.

Also, I just read a report about WWE regretting the release of Mickie James. There’s talk of brining in Gail Kim to SD. Do it WWE! Gail Kim is also ready. She’s played second fiddle long enough, its time for her to shine. She’s going to bring back interest to the division. They can hire Kong in October, and then build a story for Wrestlemania.

  7. Ozzyv, I stated the other day in another post on Diva Dirt that I’d love to see Sarita/Taylor Wilde start a feud for the Knockout’s Championship. I’d turn one heel and try something NEW, it would be better then the same old Tara shit we had to sit through.

  8. I completely agree with what ODB said, but at the same time I’m happy shes not getting a push. I think she has had her chance and its time to give somebody else a shot. Although I’m not keen on the idea of Roxxi either, I’d prefer Sarita or Hamada, they are too talented to waste.

  9. i wouldn’t mind seeing sarita getting the big push, but i’m not too keen on the idea of splitting her and taylor up, let alone turning one heel. friendly competition, perhaps?

or maybe if they were to turn sarita or taylor, it could relate back to roxxi and how she was taylor’s partner before sarita showed up. jealousy or something.

  10. i feel bad now since i was 1 of the people who reported this lol

  11. @TNAFan80 I love that idea. I was just saying that instead of Madison getting the rub off Victoria, it would have been more beneficial to Sarita than Madison. Madison has become complacent. Yes, she knows how to wrestle; but her moveset is elementary at best. There’s also a lack of intensity and aggression. She’s dull. And I don’t mean to sound like I’m bashing her, though I realize I probably do. I would be thrilled and would get behind her if she made a great effort to hone her craft. Id love to see her evolve in her moveset and character..but for now, she’s one dimensional and leaves a lot to be desired.

Your idea is a good one. Id also have Hamada be Champion or pair her up with a stable of men. To atleast show her on camera and establish her as a dangerous woman if crossed. There’s a lot they can do with the ladies they’ve got right now…but what they’re going to do..is to take the easy way out and hire Mickie James pick up where Victoria left off.

  12. Ozzyv, in my fantasy wrestling games I pair Hamada with Kiyoshi, Kazuchika Okada, and Jimmy Yang. I’d love to see TNA give her another role, I believe she could actually be a great X Division wrestler. Think outside the box, because I’m sure she she would be able to produce some amazing matches with the X Division superstars.

  13. Eh, different strokes I guess. I thought Madison’s performance at Sacrifice was her strongest to date. She hasn’t shown that kind of fire before and to me it showed that she should be the wrestler of TBP while Velvet should be taking some more pinfalls for the team.

  14. Can’t say I’m surprised. Anyone with 1/2 a brain knows it’s NOT a good idea to bash your place of work on the internet for the whole world to see. If any employee did this in any field, I’m sure they’d be disciplined. And knowing how vindictive and incredibly petty these wrestling bookers can be, this was doubly stupid on her part.

  15. I don’t like O.D.B but what she said was right. Here are the things wrong with the Division
1.They have Hamada. I haven’t seen Hamada since Feburary in a 6 knockout tag. Did Hamada insult Eric Bishoff or something because she was at her prime as tag tem champion. I remember her singles matches with Taylor and Sarita and even though they were 3 minutes a pop, they were fantastic. Is TNA chewing crack? Daffney and Angelina are injured and this is the perfect oppurtunity to use them. Is it to much to ask for webmatch with O.D.B?
2.The Beautiful People. We all knew that after Angelina left the BP’s were screwed. Adding Lacey to the group is like kicking a man while he is down. I saw no improvement from Velvet but Madison is trying so hard for the fans to give a damn. and I respect that. But without Angelina, the group has lost it’s luster.
    3. 2010 has been a pretty crappy year for the knockouts. But what does that is TNA. Their publicty for the knockouts is terrible. We have one not making a house show because of money and when she say’s it’s for vacation time, evreyone gets on their feet. We have one who gets into fight with a redneck who has to call her racist slurs to get fired. And we finally have one of the biggest names of the Knockouts history leave and they make up stories of her being hard to work with and all the other Knockouts saying that that is not true.
TNA is beginning to get back on back on track but they lost most of my respect after this…
    4.This
Everyone has an opinion. O.D.B has told the truth and because she said 12 words that didn’t diss TNA to much and she just lost a push. I do not like O.D.B but she dosen’t deserve this.

  16. I dnt like ODB at all , nd Its sad to see that her own words came back to bite her in the ass but the truth of it is its True! I rather see odb get another push thats just my personal opinion nd if she was to get released….well thats just to bad

  17. ODB’s comments were made regarding that Leather&Lace match, she didnt really bash the KO division or the company. She just felt that the T&A stuff shouldnt be the focus of the KO division. So it was just a harmless comment, it would be very childish of TNA management if they are going to make a big deal out of that.

And what about AJ Styles? I wonder if Hogan already heard what AJ said about him a few years ago…

  18. I wouldn’t go as far as to put Hamada in the mens division. Why put her there when she can contribute greatly to a lackluster womens division? That is where she’s needed.

  19. Even though I don’t understand why she would say that so everyone could read it, I can understand why she feels this way. She has been there from day one. What do you want her to say about the knockout division? Say its the best womans division in the world? Maybe it was great a year ago, but right now, it is not any better then Raw or Smackdown. Last time I checked, it was a free country. I guess people in TNA can’t handle the truth.

  20. I respect ODB for speaking her word and saying what she believes in and all but she should just be like Kelly Kelly say “I love my job!” lol. Sucks for ODB; rather see Roxxi get a push anyway.

  21. Hamada is worth more than ODB and Roxxi combined, sadly.

  22. That’s not fair. Everyone has their own opinion and OBD’s comments were nothing but true. Its not her fault the company doesn’t know what they are doing.
Roxxi will just end up leaving the company again so that’s another wrong move for TNA.

In my mind, Taylor Wilde and Sarita need to get the tag belts back and either Daffney or Hamada need their well deserved pushes.

  23. Kaledrina: I like the possible angle you gave for Roxxi, Sarita and Taylor. To me, however, I wouldn’t mind seeing Sarita and Taylor split up. I don’t know. To me, their pairing is just so random.

Sure, they’re both very agile but apart from that, I don’t see anything that really makes them go well together. Their gimmicks are too random looking when put together. And the matching outfits just make the whole thing seem contrived.

I like Taylor but with all due respect to her and her fans, I think that Sarita should go solo considering her skills and her charisma. Also, her fiery luchador gimmick is something that shouldn’t be forced to fit an odd couple pairing. I don’t know how she can work it as a heel though. It would probably be like turning Rey Mysterio into a heel.

Anyway, I’d rather see Wilde and Roxxi in a tag team. I think that they’re contrasting styles make them right for each other.

As for ODB, truth is, I like her as a wrestler. Seriously. I actually think that she’s very good when it comes to selling and her movements are mostly crisp enough to be convincing. Plus, her persona, albeit the negative reaction of other people adds a good dose of diversity to TNA. And yes, I second her remark. WTF is happening to TNA’s KO division.

  24. It’s B.S. that ODB’s comment cost her a push, but I must admit that she’s not the one I’d push as a top face against Madison. Madison needs some good wrestling feuds. Sarita would be excellent, so would Hamada and Taylor. Madison should be established as the wrestling BP member, the one that can go. I like ODB, but the styles clash a bit for me.

  25. TCL, I also like ODB as a wrestler. I’ve come to appreciate her more lately after seeing more indy brawlers. Her movements really are just so much more noticeably strong, fluid and crisp. The style may not have the flash that people like Hamada, Sarita and Taylor display, but she’s very good at what she does.

  26. With Maria, Katie and Mickie gone, plus Beth on the shelf for probably the rest of the year, there’s four spots may need filling in the WWE. Maybe two down, two to go.

  27. She said the truth, we agree with her, however it wasn’t a smart career decision. I actually prefer that they give this opportunity to Roxxi anyways.

  28. Have to agree with ODB on her comment, and this does strike me as being a rather petty move. You’d have to be a pretty fanatical TNA mark to have not gone “WTF??” at the lockbox debacle. Personally I’m glad to see Roxxi back in the ring, so some good has come out of it.
I’m a bit worried that Hamada may be just waiting on her contract expiring so we won’t see her again on Impact. That’s a real waste but I’ve always been under the impression that the only reason she signed with TNA was because of Kong, and without her around Hamada has little motivation to stay.
I’d like to see Madison and Lacey turn face leaving Velvet to crawl back to Angelina and reform the old style TBP (Angelina is way better as a heel). Maybe have Velvet polish her nails while Lacey takes a beating from Angelina. Madison can make the save and get in a scrap with Velvet resulting in a split.
I think they should keep “Saritaylor” as a unit, they work well as a small and speedy tag team.

  29. That’s too bad if that’s the case, considering she asked a legitimate question! ODB, whether it’s cheesy or whatever, or not, is funny and entertaining and can work. I like her, and I miss seeing her crazy behind on television, tbh.

  30. The Knockout division doesn’t look bad on paper. They have Angelina, Velvet, Hamada, Wilde, Madison, ODB and Sarita. Oh, dead weight, Lacey. Still, the division looks solid, even with a dead weight Knockout on board, but when examined up close the division doesn’t look good at all. I, honestly, haven’t been watching what has been taking place with the Knockouts recently, but I doubt it’s good. With such talented Knockouts on board, it would be wise to drop the tag team belts, in my opinion. Yes, at one point when the division was full of Knockouts, having the tag team belts was lovely, but with fewer Knockouts on board the championships are useless. They take away from Knockouts, such as Sarita and Wilde, or the other tag teams assembled inorder for the Beautiful People to have competition, making the Knockouts champion scene smaller.

To be quite honest, firing Lacey would be lovely, but I doubt she’ll be getting released any time soon. After firing her, lose the belts, and have a wider chance for some of my favorite but underrated Knockouts, such as Sarita and Wilde to earn the Knockouts champion.

  31. Now you know why the WWE people on the internet keep their mouths shut unless it is shilling the WWE product. It may seem like a totalitarian policy, but pro wrestling is more than just talent– It is about politics as well. haha

TNA would be a lot better off if they adapted the same philosophy.

  32. I’m glad she’s not being pushed. I for one agree with practically everyone here in that we don’t need to see ODB get anymore KO title pushes. I wouldn’t be against seeing her team with Roxxi for the tag titles, but that’d get stale as Roxxi is already sort of intertwined with TBP (other than Madison). The KO tag division won’t work without more talent.

Oh and TNA, push Sarita for god sake.

  33. In wrestling, its best to be like Kelly Kelly and just go around saying that you love your job. Anything you say can lead to you being fired. Maria was also fired because of an interview she gave.
