It looks as though WWE has cut a Divas segment that was due to be broadcast on tonight’s episode of SmackDown. The pre-taped segment was aired to the crowd at Tuesday’s taping. Here’s a live report of what went down:

It’s obviously up for speculation why the segment was cut, though the likely reason is due to time constraints. I did think it surprising that WWE allowed released Diva, Mickie James to be mentioned on the show as they usually tend to forget released talents ever existed after they’ve been let go. Perhaps that has something to do with it? Or perhaps it’ll just be uploaded as a WWE.com exclusive video.
Earlier this year, WWE also cut an entire match from the SmackDown broadcast. The match featured Maria Kanellis and Natalya.

It was probably a bad promo.. But with all the bad promos SD has shown involving Michelle and Layla this year, cutting this one doesn’t make sense.
They probably changed their mind about using a promo that mentioned Mickie James, especially if they think she might end up at TNA.

WWE ended at 10 when they usually end at 10:09 or something. They had time.
i hope it wasn’t time constraints. if so, it’s a really lame excuse considering it’s a pre-taped show. after so many years you’d think they’d have their time management problems sorted lol.
I’m glad it got cut. Laycool has been completely overdoing their act to the point that I just want their talking segments to be over as quickly as possible before I’m forced to change the channel so I don’t have to listen to it anymore. Maryse and the Beautiful People are mean, bitchy heels, too, but I’ve never found them unbearable or felt like changing the channel just because they were talking.
They probably thought that bringing up the fact that Mickie is no longer a WWE employee as well as the whole Piggie James thing was in poor taste and would make alot of fans angry. Just a theory.
oh god, please! they need to give divas some respect. the segment should be cut is the scene between cm punk and kane. that scene doesnt make sense at all.
It would be more disrespectful if they cut the match. Besides maybe Mickie didn’t allowed WWE to use her name anymore. Mickie is no longer a “character” in WWE, so they can’t just use her like this. Besides they were going to call her Piggy again, so I’m glad that they cut it.

I hate to say this but I think that they were going to try to take a cheap at Mickie. I mean think about it, WWE had CM Punk take cheap shots at Jeff Hardy, so why not Mickie. I wouldn’t put it pass WWE management to make fun of Mickie one more time. They most likely pulled the promo for two possible reasons. Reason one, they were afraid that fans would take it as a sign that Mickie was coming back to the WWE. This rumor has been floating around the internet for several days. Reason two, someone in legal advised WWE management not to air the segment to avoid another incident like the one with the fan in New York. Those are just two possible theories as to why they pull the promo. Personally I’m glad they didn’t air it.
