The Knockouts Title is on the line tonight when returning Knockout, Roxxi faces off against Madison Rayne. Which woman will win? The Diva Dirt team weigh in…
Cryssi: I would love to sit here and act excited about this match but the fact of the matter is the Algeria vs. Slovenia World Cup match sounds more exciting than this. So you ask yourselves, Algeria and Slovenia are in the World Cup? Damn right they are! And that’s more titillating than this Knockouts Championship match. It hurts my heart to say that and you know who I blame? TNA. They dropped the ball big time on this feud and the fact they didn’t even bother to mention the match on Impact speaks volumes about how they feel about their Knockouts. I don’t give a shit what Bischoff says in his pathetic little interviews. TNA is ostracizing the Knockouts and we fans of women’s wrestling have to suffer for it. It’s a sad, sad day when I care more about a nobody soccer match than a wrestling title match but that’s what it’s boiled down to and I feel awful for Madison and Roxxi. Who will win? Madison, of course. Roxxi’s return hasn’t really been built, so there’s no point in giving her the championship. But this is the same company who taped a title match for YouTube and it wouldn’t shock me to see a new champ crowned. Whatever.
David: Welcome back to TNA, Roxxi! Her recent victory over Madison Rayne was impressive and resulted in this title shot, but I think her hardcore style will not be able to overcome the numbers game I expect to see from the Beautiful People. I went to school for math so I know that three beats one every time. Madison will need some help from Lacey and Velvet, but in the end I predict Madison will celebrate a victory at Slammiversary.
Erin: I feel it’s a bit too early to be giving Roxxi the title. This feud has only been going on a few weeks, and the past two of them have had the focus more or less on Rosie Lottalove instead of Roxxi. Roxxi needs to build a lot more momentum, in my opinion, before she can have a meaningful title win, and I’m not sure TNA is ready to give it to her this early on in her comeback. That, paired with TNA’s love of the Beautiful People, convinces me that Madison isn’t about to part with the Knockouts Title. Madison retains.
Melanie: You know what, this is the first match in a while where I think the result could go either way. I could see Madison retaining and I could see them hot shotting the belt onto Roxxi. Roxxi came in straightaway as the new top babyface and she’s a Knockout that has throughout the years, worked hard and not been given an opportunity to. Where better to give her the ball than their anniversary show? It really could go either way but I have a suspicion that Roxxi may win the belt tonight.
Steven: As we’ve said before, this Roxxi push has come straight out of left field. It has had little to no build up in the past week (both the champion and challenger get cut from the main show?! Really TNA?!). For this reason alone I don’t she the title changing hands tonight. A title win is (or should be) a momentous occasion, but in TNA you can win titles out of a box, so who knows? Also, if Roxxi manages to pull out the win, Madison will be seen as nothing but a transitional champ. Madison really needs this win to establish her as a credible champ. At Slammiversary, Madison retains.

OMG Cryssi I agree 100%.
I’d love for Roxxi to become Champion, Because she has always deserved it. However I see Rayne returning, Don’t forget Mickie James is highly likely to end up in TNA by the end of her 90 days. I expect her to debut before August is out.
I do however see Rosey (That’s how its spelt – I know it’s lame but whatevs) & Roxxi winning the Tag-Team Championships :’) x
*Retaining, Not returning.
Two turn of events?
1.) i see Madison winning and Rosie somehow becomming new number one contender while Roxxie is just forgotten about and left of tv for so long again
2.) Roxxie wins out of nowhere, without a build, just a random win (tna seems to like this) then she will soon loose the title to TBP again…..maybe?
either way the match result wont look good, ooooh TNA look what you have done to this division :\
Amen Cryssi!!!
on a side note…Wasn’t something called ‘Diva Soup’ supposed to be starting on Friday?
You know, TNA is known for giving undeserving people belts (which is why Madison has it) I know Madison is talented and all but popularity wise she isn’t worthy.
I think Roxxi is gonna win because TNA has a thing of giving people belts to help them go over and right now they need a top face (Roxxi) and probably by now TNA realizes they dropped the ball by giving Madison the belt because no one cares about her except for a few internet fans.
I believe Roxxi is gonna win this one. One of these two things are gonna happen; either Lacey is gonna accidently cost Rayne the match thus continuing her face turn or Rosie come out and chase Vevlet and Lacey away which helps Roxxi beat Rayne cleanly.
f roxxi doesnt win then i think they will let her go AGAIN because angelina will be returning soon or they put rosie in the picture….i think they only brought back roxxi so she can fill in for angelina now that tara has gone!
I mostly see Madison winning it.
In her return Roxxi didn’t have a big impact on me. She got beat up then hit her finisher and won. That doesn’t scream “TITLE WIN” to me. I don’t think she will win the title but I didn’t think Eve would win the title in her first title shot and look at her now. I’m pretty sure she won’t win it though. How long does “Roxxi Pushes” last? About 2 weeks. I definatly see Madison retaining.
Suspect Roxxi will take the title leading to a feud with Angelina. After all the way Madison has been booked in recent Impacts hardly suggests a long term title holder. Can’t help but think that TNA have done little to promote Madison as champ since she won the belt. Its almost as though she has been acting as “caretaker”.
Even if Madison does retain at Slammiversary (and I’d like her to win), I’d half expect her to drop the belt in near future, If not ot Roxxi then to Angelina. Just hope that if Madison does win tonight she does not drop the title to Rosie, its far too early for her to finish up as champ, though iddea of rosie / Roxxi taking tag belts is interesting.
they really dropped the ball lately, they scrapped this weeks mach that tied in with the PPV, and made a title defense a online match only, so much for Bishoff saying the Knockouts were going to be back to normal,
i would like to see Roxxi win it, but I’m sure madison will retain, then again it’s TNA so anything could happen
i want madison to retain, simply because the title needs it. i really like long title reigns. it forces creative to think more long-term as well as the title kinda needs it’s prestige back.
there’ll possibly be a 3person beatdown at the end of the match, or illegal unseen by referee interference, so i wouldn’t be surprised to see rosie playing equaliser tonight or even the return of angelina?
Rayne got the win and apparently “ended” Roxxi’s career? Anyone else find that quick?
