Three time Knockouts Champion, ODB has just posted on her Twitter page that she has quit TNA Wrestling. She writes:

thanks tna fans for all the support but tna and odb have parted ways.it was a decision I made.bamm bitches

Yet another blow to a division that has been on a downward spiral of late. Looking at the division of late and the company’s treatment of the Knockouts, it’s not hard to see why ODB wanted out.

  1. Wow, I didn’t see that coming. I don’t blame her with the way they’re treating their woman, but wow, I didn’t see that coming at all. Bye ODB, you will be missed =[

  2. DAMN I just read it on twitter. I thought that this moment is coming soon and now it is reality. I’m going to miss her…BAAAAMMMM!!!!

  3. thank you ODB. how many months before the knockouts division is officially dead?? I really want all the girls (at least the talented ones), to shit on TNA and go to the indies or try out for WWE. It’s not like they’re gaining more money to stay in TNA, so why not?? I never was a fan of TNA, but I appreciated how fresh it felt to have girls like Gail and Kong being used correctly when they’re two of the most talented female wrestlers of today. Right now, it’s a tranny hot mess.

  4. I’m sure the TNA shenanigans last night helped her make this decision, it’s a shame because she has always been a great character, and whether you like it or not she always got great crowd reactions

  5. It all came to an end for her when she made that comment about the Knockouts Division a couple of months ago. She probably got a lot of heat for that comment. This is sad, so many ladies have left this year.

TNA better do something to get their KO Division back on track!

  6. I never liked ODB, I don’t know why, even her voice was like nails on a chalkboard for me…
so its like i dont care

  7. I’m not suprised after TNA removed her from house shows or something after the comments she made about the division. I was always hit and miss on ODB as I HATED her as a Heel and with Cody Deaner but even though she may not type like she has any sense, she obviously does because leaving that company is no doubt the best decision she ahs ever made.

  8. she kept calling herself a diva in an interview a couple days ago, so to be honest i was kind’ve expecting this. whether or not that mens wwe has an interest in her, though, i can only hope.

odb was never one of my favourites, so i won’t miss her too much, but at least this release was up to her. kong, alissa, tara and now odb have all asked for their releases this year alone.. something’s definitely up and unfortunately tna don’t seem to realise it.

  9. u know wht..im happy tna deserved this….well,do u think they r gonna hire roxxie for a couple of months now till they find another replacment???

  10. I think the final straw for O.D.B was the BS pulled last night. I really don’t blame her. It really would be interesting to see her go to WWE. She certainly isn’t your typical diva. And she can really get over with the fans. I’m sure can do over with the WWE universe.

  11. I wonder if that’s what Taylor was alluding to on Twitter earlier? Sounded like something juicy. Oh well, she had a good run outside of the Deaner stuff and the crowd loved her. Must be somewhat easy to make this decision these days given that these women work for jellybeans and yet are now treated like so much gutter trash under the current regime.

  12. gmosoto- Totally agree with you. She wasn’t even that good of a wrestler. ODB was just to annoying for me to like. I mean the “Knocked Up” title, seriously, that was suppose to be funny. She was just a comedy act and nothing more. She shouldn’t never gotten 3 title reigns. I have said it before and I’ll say it again, comedic wrestlers should never hold titles. This includes Jillian Hall and Rosie Lottalove, unfunny comedic acts and nothing more.

  13. if ODB has any moral she would never step in WWE,
i think that from all the KOs, the one who was always trash talking the divas
    was odb.. so ….

  14. bye bye odb and good luck thank you for the memorys bammmmmmmmmm.

this is not the end of odb can’t wait till her match with mickie on wwc.

gotta strong fealing that taylor or serita might be next.screw tna

  15. So the Knockouts released or quit this year are:
Alissa Flash, Roxxi, Traci Brooks, Awesome Kong, Tara, Roxxi (again) and now O.D.B everyone on this list was either one of the orignal Knockouts. or had a HUGE impact during their run. TNA better clean up their mess.

  16. dixie seriously need to wake up the women get the highest ratings but are paid indy money & only 4 girls get used…..eric & hogan dont like womens wrestling & dixie wont do anything since she thinks there making the right decisions?

  17. OK let me staTe up front that I’m not a fan of DDB, but its another blow to the Knockouts division. Like others have said I’ cant help but think that the way roxxi was treated has prompted ODB’s decision – after all better to jump announcing it yourself than be pushed out.

Where does that leave the division? If (unlikely) Sarita, Taylor and Hamada all get pushes then it can still survive, but if any of these follow suit then whats left will not cover even the modest TV & House show coverage the KOs receive under the Carter / Bishoff & /Hogan era. Could be bad news for the girls remaining.

I know there have been rumors of new entrants, likes of Mickie James, and acquiisitions of quality may be needed and would be good news.

  18. @madslam2009
are you out of your mind sorry for the tune but wwe is just same as tna and all that dosn’t give the shit a bout their women and pushed the unworth and all so vince we make her a laughing matter just like he did that with mickie

  19. “I’ cant help but think that the way roxxi was treated has prompted ODB’s decision”

considering the roxxi thing happened less than 24 hours ago, i don’t think it is. tna took weeks to finally grant kong her release after she asked for it, i don’t see them saying “ok, bye now!” to odb in a matter of hours. judging from her twitter, she mentioned going off to film what i assume is a movie.. it sounds more to me like she had a case of the salinas. speculation on my part, of course.

although i also read a few reports mentioning that at the last set of tapings a bunch of knockouts supposedly confronted management over the pay issues, perhaps she and roxxi were a part of that group?

  20. @ohiofan1

“I have said it before and I’ll say it again, comedic wrestlers should never hold titles. This includes Jillian Hall and Rosie Lottalove, unfunny comedic acts and nothing more.”

jiliian deserved her title even though she did not have it a long time she is one of the most talented divas in wwe and we all know it just look at her matches with gail kim! if jillian didnt deserved her title then no one in wwe did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. @eatdefeat tk

Ok, I see your point, but my problem is that when any wrestling promotion tries to have a comedy wrestler or segment on their show, like the Transformers movies, it fails imo. I just can’t take Jillian Hall seriously, I’m sorry. Plus you can’t forget about her “classic” matches with Melina last year, where they both botched everything.

  22. I was never a big ODB fan, but this is basically a symptom of a larger problem. TNA is treating most of their Knockouts like shit. Dixie Carter should be ashamed of herself. She is a weak-willed, spineless coward of a woman who can’t stand up to Bischoff and Hogan and basically lets them put this once-strong division into a state of cardiac arrest. She can’t even secure good paychecks for most of them, because all the crippled bastards from WCW are piling up the roster.

Alissa Flash, Kong, Traci Brooks, Tara, Roxxi, ODB, possibly others I might have missed out. And don’t think for a second that they won’t get rid of Sarita, Taylor and Hamada soon.

In 2007 TNA dared to be different. Now the once golden division has gone up in smoke. By the end of the year, the only ones (of the current bunch) will probably be TBP, Angelina Love, and possibly Daffney and Rosie Lottalove. The only other hope is if some Wrestlicious talent gets picked up, seeing as how its involved with Bischoff’s production company.

  23. I really don’t blame her quitting, i wouldn’t be surprised if Tna planned to do to her what they did to Roxxi.

If really does take an idiot to take a division which had so much hype around, containing what people where calling the “best female wrestlers around” and was bringing in the ratings to what it has now become.

I always liked odb and i wish her the best!

  24. @ohiofan1 yea they did kinda ruin her i cant take her serious with that singing gimmick so i see your point

  25. 10 bucks says that the KO division will be non-existent in about a month.

  26. not that it will make a very big impact bt Lacey Von Erich may be gone soon too if things with her custody over her son dnt work out in her favor!!!! soon noone will b left and i kno Sarita & Wilde are tired of tna….and daffney not so long give or take she has like 2 or 3 more years left…so yea i would say tna knockout division is just about dead

  27. I don’t see how this is a blow at all TBH. She was awful. When they gave her the title she had one of the worst reigns of them all.

    People still overreacting as usual.

  28. @MikeChrisH

Wheater you liked her or not, she made an impact. I was never a big fan of ODB, but you can’t deny she’s a crowd favourite and she played her character to perfection (which is probably why I found her extremely annoying). So, yes, it is a huge blow. Roxxi and ODB were the only KOs over as babyfaces…

  29. Couldn’t she have waited a few weeks so we could have seen Madison retire her as well on the next PPV ;)

  30. It’s unevitable that Hamada, Taylor and Sarita will be gone soon as well. So that leaves:
Lacey von Erich, Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne, Angelina Love, Rosie Lottalove, Daffney, Chelsea. They might as well just disband the knockout division.

  31. Ah well, they still have to get rid of Taylor, Sarita, Hamada and Daffney, so I guess Madison has her work cut out for her.

  32. Not surprised at all, but i wasnt a fan of ODB, but she is was a very good wrestler, and mic worker, so this is def a blow to the company, TNA better hope that Mickie and Kate Lea sign with them, since they want them.

But when you think about it Velvet and Lacey are not solid workers, Rosie is still very green, left and with the contracts of Daffney, Hammada, Sarita, Taylor all contrcat run out withn months,

and ODB going to WWE, i think there is a great chance, now that WWE has seen how the fans get behind her, and like her, i think her chances are higher, but i dont see her going to WWE for awhile

  33. “not that it will make a very big impact bt Lacey Von Erich may be gone soon too if things with her custody over her son dnt work out in her favor!!!! ”

she said a few weeks ago that her and tna had came to a new arrangement – probably she’ll be on less house shows.

  34. I don’t blame her one bit. LIke rats from a sinking ship..

  35. Does anyone think that one reason why she decided to leave is because she was used like 4 times in a span of 6 months since she lost the title back in January?

  36. gail kim ,alissa flash, awesome kong, tara, roxxi, now odb whos next i believe mickie james and maybe maria will be debuting on in tna in a while

  37. @Kaledina didnt know that thanks as much as she sucks i see something special in lacey plus she only 23 she has plenty of time to become better at wreslting

  38. This weeks impact tapings will really tell how the knockouts division is gonna be, and wheither or not we will be seeing anymore knockouts goo

  39. I was never really that much of a fan of ODB !

I also dont blame her for quitting I mean do you see the Knockouts Divison now ? I mean its going no where they lost half of their best knockouts…what more can they loose ?. I woudnt be surprised if Sarita & Taylor left too , Hell even Hamada! All these being wasted I mean Im not saying you have to put the title on any of those 3 but jeez use them they signed to wrestle not to sit backstage and watch TBP run the show….

  40. Now I hope Mickie dosent go to TNA , b cuz she has no one their to wrestle….Velvet & Lacey ?….Pfttt Yeah right…. Madison , Hamada , Sarita & Taylor are the only ones that she can wrestle thats assuming they use Hamada , Taylor & Sarita oh yeah lets nto 4get abt Daffeny where is she at…..

  41. Good for ODB, i think this was a smart decision…..she was unhappy with the direction of the buisness and i respect her for leaving, you know wwe could be her place ;) hahaa, but i dont see wwe hiring her, espeshally now with all her tattoo’s, im not sure wwe would like their divas to have that look.

  42. Im Going To Miss ODB. Hamada,Sarita,Taylor,Angelina, and Daffney Are The Only Great One’s In The Division. Lacey&Velvet Can Bring The Beauty Into The TNA. Madison&Rosie Can Maybe Improve. Christy Needs To Wrestle Again Because She Is An Awesome Wrestler She Can Replace Possibly Half Of ODB. They Lost Roxxi,ODB and Tara In One Year, TNA Really Sucks. They Need Amazing Wrestlers To Replace Those 3.

  43. She might go to WWE who knows. I mean they saw something in her before when she was in OVW, but im not sure what happen with that. But maybe one day we will she ODB in WWE, showing the fans that WWE is thinking outside of the box.

  44. This news is sad. The Knockouts have truely went downhill. They don’t even have enough women to compete for the Knockouts Title let alone the Tag Titles.

  45. MikeChrisH – “People still overreacting as usual.”

Thank you!! Do you all actually watch TNA on television? Or do you just watch it online because if that’s the case, watching it online doesn’t help the TV ratings and no matter *how* many times you see a match on YouTube, it’s not going to translate to viewers for SpikeTV or TNA. If you watch it on TV, that previous statement obviously doesn’t apply to you.

And re. Christy wrestling? No. On December 16, 2009, Hemme announced her retirement from in-ring competition after her last match in a gauntlet. Sorry to say.

  46. I never liked ODB but since I think she quit because of how lame the Knockouts are being treated (and maybe because they’re not using her but w/e) I appreciate her a little more. I wonder where she’s gonna go now though, WWE didn’t sign Kong so they’re not gonna sign ODB.. Shimmer or Wrestlicious maybe? I hope it’s Wrestlicious… They need the boost.

  47. WWE has no respect for women’s wrestling and are mainly hiring girls for their looks, therefore I don’t see them hiring ODB. Not to mention, “One Dirty Bitch” is not exactly PG-friendly.

This is probably the best thing that ODB has done in her career. She knew it was time to leave when the idea for the Lockbox challenge and the Leather & Lace match came into play. But this “screwjob” (it may not have been one, but I can’t help but see it this way until Roxxi speaks out) just adds more fuel to the fire. All wrestlers need and deserve respect and if they can’t get it, they should go somewhere where they can get it.

TNA is really starting to look like the WWE Diva’s divison in 1995. During that time, WWE released most of the female talent (despite being hard workers) and then it got to a point when Vince simply didn’t want a women’s division and deactivated it. It wouldn’t surprise me if TNA followed suit, complete with someone going to WWE and trashing the KO belt.

IF WWE decides to hire ODB, they can have her revolutionize the division again (which hasn’t been the same since Trish and Lita left, and certainly not as interesting when they had Chyna and Sable). After all, it wouldn’t hurt to have an unusual Divas like Bull Nakano and Luna Vachon again (not that ODB is like those two, but you get the idea).

  48. I’ll miss her–a lot. She stood out so well against other women, and was contrary to so many female wrestler stereotypes. I don’t blame her though, and good for her by taking the simple way out rather than wait for TNA to send her off in shame like Roxxi and Victoria.

  49. Not a shocker. I knew this was coming sometime soon. I’m pretty sure we can say RIP to the TNA knockouts division.
    Now whos left….
    Taylor Wilde
    Sarita
    The Beautiful People
    Angelina Love
    Lottalove
    Daffney
Hamada (never used)…is she even with the company anymore?
That’s a pretty low number of wrestlers if you ask me….

  50. TNA must be going “FUCK!!” Can’t wait to see their faces if Taylor or Sarita leave. TNA better do something or they are going to lose all their knockouts.
