Funny how Gail goes from wrestling Trish, Lita and Victoria to Maryse, Alicia and Eve six years later…

^ Maryse can wrestle, she proved that over on SD!. WWE Officials don’t want her to be injured; especially now with Melina off with injury – also, even though she is a heel, she is becoming quite a popular character (she got a better crowd reaction that Gail during the tag team bout last Monday night).
Anyways, I loved this match and was so gutted for Lita when she didn’t win it :(. Twas’ a good spin to the end of the match though, something you don’t really see now-adays. Great match, doubtful we’l see something like this tonight, but lets hope for some decent spots- all four of these girls can pull of some good spots; weve seen them!

i really liked Fatal 4 Ways from back in the day, hell i even liked the one we had in late 2009, & i agree with Melanie, it is weird how Gail goes from wrestling three of the best to Eve, Alicia & Maryse! But i am hopeful that tonight we see some great spots & maybe an unpredictable finish (eg. Maryse or Eve NOT winning), this Fatal 4 Way needs to live up to the other amazing ones we have seen!
Also, this is a little off topic, but did you know, Fatal 4 Way has been renamed in France because of the name ‘Fatal’ which is politically incorrect, instead it’s called Four Way Finale. :) little trivia for y’all

Pretty good match. Its amazing how much the crowds have changed since then. No matter how hard the current Divas try, they will always live in the shadow of the Trish/Lita Era. Anyway, I felt more sorry for Victoria then I did for Lita. That submission hold that Gail slapped on Victoria looked brutal. It would be cool if she brought back her submission moves in addition to her high flying moves.

If todays Fatal Fourway match is half as good as this match from 2004, then we can consider it a big succes. There are only 5 matches on the card, so maybe they get a decent amount of time.
Probably Maryse will play Trish’ role and go for the sneaky tactics and let the other 3 make the match. Eve will play the role of Lita and do the occasional spot, and Alicia can play Victoria’s role with some power moves. Hopefully Gail and Alicia will do most of the work in the match (but i dont see either of them winning).

I love this match! I miss those girls.
Anyway, tonight’s match will be great giving the right amount of time. I hope they get a good amount of time. I have faith in them. All of them are good wrestlers.

i forgot that there was only 5 matches on card well either there will be a sneaky twist…. i,e vicky coming down saying what about the smackdown divas or the match will have good time because maryse is in it and eve cuz wwe are high on them hence why they got the second to last match on the over the limit pay per view…..and night of champions maryse vs mickie

molly4ever-First of all,art1e never said Trish and Lita were the best the world had to offer, so don’t put words in people’s mouths. Second, Gail and Victoria sure as hell were. WWE is the biggest wrestling promotion in the world, and if these women were the ones beinng showcased, then obviously they were pretty great. And, in some ways they were the best. Like Trish’s mic skills, or Lita’s connection to the crowd. Whereas Gail and Victoria have great mat wrestling ability.
This match was so great! I WORSHIP heel Trish. She was the queen b*tch and everyone knew it, lol. The match itself was really good, and I remember being super-pissed Victoria lost, because I was a big fan of her during her face run.

Trish was just on fire during her 2004-05 run. She was one of the most fun to watch heels in pro wrestling at the time, female or male.
I think Maryse will play the same “waiting for her chance to strike” role in the match tonight as Trish did in 2004. Oddly enough, Maryse has the same problem right now that Trish did during that run as even though they were/are 100% heels, a portion of the audience refused/refuses to hate them.

I really hated when Trish won this, I was so convinced Lita would win. I never really got the love for Trish, not saying she wasnt great I just never thought anything of her. As for tonight, I really wouldn’t be surprised to see another match added on but I doubt it will involve the Divas. I hope Alicia/Gail takes the title because the whole Eve/Maryse feud is stale.

KALEDRINA, if you happen to come across this, this, I think, is one of the matches I was telling you about wherein Gail was a heel but her skills remain to be her primary attention grabber and not her heel antics. She can revert back to this should she turn heel. That would add to her uniqueness.
Plus, I also recall that she shifted to this style because she didn’t want to get re-injured. That, I think would also work for her. Plus, it also works for her in terms of storyline. Say she does become heel. She can feud with Eve and have a submission match under the basis that both of them use elaborate submissions. Eve is being marketed as a mixed martial artist right? Gail can come in saying she wants to put that to the test.
Of course, that’s just a shabby example at best. I see potential in Gail as a heel once again. :)

It’s a pity that only a few women can really take the Christo. I can imagine that it’s a very hard maneuver to receive since, during those days, it was only done repetitively on Victoria. Now, I think Beth can take it. Michelle took it once but it wasn’t as solid as Victoria’s reception. I think Alicia can take it too seeing that she could take Melina’s back bending move transitions pretty well. :) I hope they pull off a good match.

realy maryse sucks in ring i don’t hate the girl but she is good as a personality.too bad she is sloppy you wanna know why any review at wwe house show she got a bad review she and eve but at leaset eve always develop in the ring but maryse same old same old.i hope gail or alicia get the title they both deserve it.
correct me if i am wrong that the that is the second time that a championship match well be defended in a fetal four way.as for the match the match was very good i miss trish and lita.i really hope that match well have a good spots especially with gail in alicia their i hope so.
why everyone keeping your hopes up that sd divas will get a ppv spot the minutes of the six match well be in the decision of bret hart on the nxt thing or the sd fetal four way kane well get involve somehow

Have any of you looked on WWE.com? In the Divas section, it has a poll on who do we thnik would win the fatal four way.
Eve has 3.4% of the vote
Alicia has 2.50% of the vote
Maryse has 73.81% of the vote
Gail has 20.42% of the vote.
It really surprises me that Maryse won almost 3/4 of the vote. I know she is popular but jeeash.

and i miss the older generation of wrestlers they wrestled in some real simple and nice attire nowadays all the divas are showing soo much skin it kinda takes away from the little talent the new divas.

boi213, Victoria never got a rematch, Trish automatically entered a feud with Lita after this whilst Victoria concentrated on other things! As far as i know, Victoria faced Trish at Unforgiven, but that was 4 months later!

Which is kinda strange considering they are PG now. Before they were PG they indeed had more clothes on (Trish, Lita, Molly, Victoria, Jacqueline, Sable). I think even the WEW wrestlers showed less skin than the divas (and knockouts).
