We have a new Divas Champion! Alicia Fox was just crowned the new champion moments ago defeating Eve Torres, Maryse and Gail Kim in a fatal four-way match.
After Eve hit a moonsault on Maryse, Alicia quickly re-entered the ring, throwing Eve out and stealing the win by pinning Maryse.
This is Fox’s first major championship in professional wrestling. Her only other credit is the OVW Women’s Championship.
Fox — real name Victoria Crawford — joined WWE in 2006 along with Kelly Kelly after being scouted in a catalogue. She spent two years in the developmental system before making her main roster debut in the summer of 2008.
At just 23 years old, Fox makes history as the youngest Diva to win the Divas Championship. I believe [but don't quote me on this] she may even be the youngest Diva to win a WWE championship, period. [Wendi Richter won the Women's Title at age 22].

It makes since…to me, because Maryse never wins, fairly anyway. Maybe she’ll realize she’s not better than everyone else and start acting pitiful and not so full of herself and bitchy. People like her already so if she feuds with Alicia as a face, I’m sure it might work out.
Yes! My friend predicted this and he was right…too bad its that ugly championship though. Now hopefully Alicia goes back to the straight hair and I’ll be all right.
Mercifully, Eve’s Title reign has come to an end. Somebody suggested Melina might return to RAW soon, but I see Gail Kim finally stepping back into the spotlight to eventually take the Title. I still see Melina going to Smackdown to finally put an end to LayCools bullying ways. That’s what I would like to see anyway.
Aslo congrats to Natalya for getting the pin on Tamina tonight. This equals to Fully Loaded 2000′s Lita and The HardyBoyz vs. T&A and Trish. Good showing for their 9 minutes.

WWE Are Giving All There Young Talents The Belts Eve,Layla,Alicia and Kelly Its Because There Getting Ready For The Future Since Beth,Michelle and Melina Are The Only Top Divas and Should Be Getting Released Soon. Plus I Bet If Kelly Wins The Belt We’ll Be Seeing Champion vs Champion Against Alicia.

FINALLY, A DIVAS CHAMP WHO ACTUALLY DESERVES THE TITLE RUN!
I know all of you (minus a few) went apenuts when Alicia won. I can understand based on how bad this site HATED and STILL hates Eve (don’t say you don’t, because you do, and I can (if I cared) go back and prove it). I don’t want to sound like an Eve mark…but if I am on some points, so what? Don’t care at this point what people think of me anymore.
I do agree with what some of you said about how this match would have been trashed if Eve were to have won it. Many were pulling for Gail, Alicia, or even Maryse to win, and some didn’t give a hoot just as long as Eve was NOT champion. However, I’m not going to say Eve has a memorable first title run. All I’ll remember is Eve became champion, and that’s about it. I hope Alicia’s reign will be a better one. And yes, unlike a lot of you, I hope someday (maybe not soon, but in the long run) Eve gets another title run…and this time, make it a memorable one. One that might turn one of two haters into BeliEVErs…Maybe.

wwe made a mistake, she pinned maryse not gail thats what they wrote in the description when divas/superstars win the belts in the history.

I’ve never hated Eve. I always looked forward to her on Smackdown. She was my only reason for liking Cryme Tyme. I enjoyed her backstage segments and her matches with The Hart Foundation. They were mostly short but it was good to watch. I just didn’t like the way her reign on RAW came about. So uneventful and forgettable. She’s beautiful and I like her theme..but she still has ways to go if she wants to make a lasting impression.

Wow, I turn my head for a month or two and something like this happens. I liked Eve in spite of whatever blah blah but Alicia is my girl and one of my favorite Divas (right now I only still really like Alicia and Gail). She has a ton of talent/potential and a lot of fiestyness so I hope she can really shine and do well. Now I might actually start watching WWE again. Hopefully they won’t screw this up and I hope she doesn’t either. Team Alicia.
I think the “original” script for last nights Fox Diva win probably had in it that Alicia would pin Gail Kim and that is what one WWE writer wrote .. then creative changed it to set up more of an angle by having Fox pin Maryse … anyway it will be interesting moving forward to see how all the Divas work with Alicia as the new champ.
As far as the Alicia Fox title change goes, I am of two minds. On one hand, it definitely derails the Eve Torres run. It has more the feel of an arbitrary ‘shocker’ than a committed direction change. Eve’s spot being decisive in the match should say that. Pessimistically, I think it was a clust– I mean, a bit of a mess in booking. It didn’t do a whole lot to get Fox over with that uber-cheapness after low character build.
now on the other hand, I also think it could be a wise move. The decisions made by WWE brass in Divas matches are often mind-boggling; just as often, they’re somewhat shrewd and based on a trenchant analysis of potential draw. The key is, obviously, depth. So as we’ve said here a few million times, both brands need more depth with their female rosters not just in how they’re deployed, the elevation of enough names is just not there. Enter Layla’s co-push, and now a heelish win for Alicia Fox, same idea. Optimistically, it’s an attempt to broaden the roster with of course Melina and Beth returns on the horizon.
So we’ll have to see where it’s headed – RAW is crash-bang, one segment (maybe with backstage blip) and out, so I’m not really enthused about a changing of the guard here. Though it will be interesting to see if the call was made due to Alicia’s athleticism starting to click in the ring, testing more of her spots with the bell & whistle on her and see what happens. If they’ve found a reliable way to convert more of these athletic model types into burgeoning talent in 3-or-less, this will get extremely interesting.
Aside from more matches between Gail and Alicia, the biggest fallout of this match is how Maryse and Alicia are going to co-exist. In fact, that feud might end up like the Stephanie-Trish feud of 2001, with a good match that has great storytelling (if not great technical wrestling) between two women who outside of that bubble are both heels.
I really think Eve should keep her Moonlight Drive knock off as her finisher. JoMo isn’t using it as much anymore and Alicia and Maryse take it well and it’s a pretty move.
But I’m excited to see what Raw does… hopefully Alicia’s first match as champion isn’t a tag match with Maryse like Eve’s was (although seeing Maryse totally upstage the new champion was hilarious). I’m thinking Eve vs Alicia with Maryse at commentary.
Woo, Congrats Alicia. I thought Maryse would win but I hoped Alicia or Gail would win, so I’m glad one of them did. Now Gail can get traded to Smackdown restoring the Face-Heel balance after she wins the Womens Title.

I really hope she will have a good run and I can’t wait to see the match and her moment itself. I agree that Alicia does need to “get her hair did” by somebody that really knows how, but I’m saying it in a nicer way. I like how she switches it up and tries some wild styles but she needs something better.
I’m happy. Now I would like to see her feud with Gail for Gail to win the championship.

at first i belived tht the divas title is meant for the less divas…mainly SD! divas cause they usually had the less experienced divas but when tht trade happened and it moved to raw,and having some like melina holding it..and of course mickie made me think its not anymore now its back to the less divas!!

I am so so so happy that my girl AFOX is the new Divas Champion. I think it’s amazing. I am hoping that she fueds with Gail, as their fued is worth watching. I can’t wait to see what happens on Raw tonight. I hope they change Alicia’s theme though, she needs something a little bit more sassy than what she has now..
I would love to see Alicia vs Natalya but that won’t happen of course, but maybe a Maryse face turn would be hot

The match wasn’t rememerable but it was good for what it was.
The finish reminded me of the US fatal 4 way when Morrison hit his finisher then Miz through him out well this time it was Eve hitting her finisher then Alicia throwing her out.

Now my fave Raw diva is champion along with my fave Smackdown diva Oh and my fave TNA knockout is a tag team champ 2 if only Christy Hemme was knockout champ and Rhaka Khan was the other tag team champ my life would be complete… now someone give Cody Rhodes the intercontinental belt!!! XD
Finally. Also this is kind of a shit in the face to the all those released superstars who accused WWE of being a racist company. Both the Womens belt and Divas belt belong to super stunning, talented black women so… guess not really, and woo hoo to A.Fox. Let’s hope she learns how to sell finishers now, get a decent weave that does not change every two weeks and she’ll, make her entrance more BAM towards the end, and she’ll be flawless!
