  1. Very boring match imo. Daizee got way too much offense in this match and most of it was submission.

  2. hell must have froze over because i actually liked Daizee haze’s attire (excluding the color)

WOW did he say Jamilia craft had only been wrestling a year? :O

    i loved the backdrop pin

  3. The match didn’t really feel like it went anywhere, I was expecting Jamilia to be more of a high flyer actually, but she wasn’t really anything, like she didn’t come across as a power house, despite some offensive moves like the lariat off of the ropes. The problem I have with Women of Honour matches is it feels pointless watching them, its like an ongoing case of when Beth Phoenix first moved to SD and faced unknown jobberettes for a month, apart from that was to beenefit a storyline. I’d love to see ROH have an expanded women’s division, because at the moment the matches lack storyline and they lack any twists, even with Kong vs. Del Ray you knew Del Ray would win because Kong wasn’t an official part of the company.

In terms of comparing it to Del Ray vs. Reggie, I’d say I would’ve preferred that one, Reggie seemed to have some more character to her and work the crowd easier, but maybe it’s easier to do that when you’re against such a killer heel like Del Ray is.

  4. does ROH womens champion or womens division it looks like random matches and why all the female wrestlers have to always be connected to a faction or team or single wrestler it seems to be ROH way of justifing why the ladies are there wrestling in the first place slide handed way of letting fans (know your role) sorry stole that from the rock!!!

  5. Rumble Queen, that’s my point, the exisiting females are associated with factions because there is not a large enough ‘women of honour’ division, to generate storylines, meaning we just get random matches. Before I caught onto Shimmer, I always assumed, ROH and Shimmer had some sort of talent exhange thing, where Shimmer would just fund its talent into ROH. Now of course, I know better, but I’d like to see ROH get into the modern era and have more time for its women, especially seeing as the women they have could put on some great matches, if the division and storylines were there.

  6. “but I’d like to see ROH get into the modern era and have more time for its women”

ROH was never about women’s wrestling, dont forget that they only have 1 hour a week, unlike WWE and TNA who have more than 3 hours a week to fill. So when there is a womens match its usually Daizee, Mschif or Sara vs or maybe a mixed tagteam match. Basicly all the storylines that are possible with the women of honor that they have right now, have already been done already (multiple times).

In 2002-2003 they had Allison Danger, Simply Lusicous, Sumi Sakai, Trinity and Alexis Laree, who were all linked to wrestlers or stables with the occasional match, so nothing has really changed. ROH is about regular mens wrestling, people who want to see more of the women of honor have Shimmer.

  7. You could argue that TNA was never a women’s wrestling (some may say it still is) but it doesn’t make that an excuse for why they don’t have any. I don’t know, ROH is one of the top independent companies, I just think it’d be good to see another platform for women. That’s all.

  8. TNA and WWE have multiple hours to fill every week and millions of dollars to spend, so much they can afford to hire women who aren’t even trained wrestlers. ROH does not, but if you’ll notice there’s several women’s matches on the recent TV shows and they’re doing a storyline with Kong and Del Rey on their live events which is continuing from their big NY show.

If ROH had the time, money, and resources that TNA or WWE did you can bet that you’d be seeing Ayako Hamada more than once a season and that they wouldn’t have someone like Kelly Kelly as the number one contender for a title. However they don’t so enjoy their recent focus on the women and be excited for the all women offerings by ROH’s sister promotion, SHIMMER Women Athletes, which has recently released vol. 29 and will be putting out vol. 30 soon.

  9. The match was better than anything WWE or TNA has put out recently. The only thing I disliked was the ugly ring gear.

  10. It was an o.k match if you ask me. She’s still green when you think about it so I give Jamilia thumbs up! As far as there not really being a women division it’s already been said. I love ring of honor, because I’m a wrestling fan all around, not just a women wrestling fan. I do understand though where everyone’s coming from, especially since they are one of the biggest indie companies. That’s still massively smaller than TNA or WWE though.
