The mystery biker chick at Victory Road has been revealed by Mike Johnson of PWInsider to be Lisa Marie Varon aka Tara.
The former three-time Knockouts Champion seemingly left the company two months ago after losing a ‘Career vs Title’ match against Madison Rayne at Sacrifice. In reality, Varon’s contract was coming to an end and negotiations with TNA had broken down over a pay rise.
Last month however, it was reported by the Wrestling Observer, that Tara had signed a last minute deal after having a one-on-one meeting with TNA President, Dixie Carter. The company had been thinking of ways to bring her back to television after her TNA career ‘ended’ in May.
Varon is known to have a custom car shop and ride motorcycles.

If so, senseless move. Why bring back a nearly forty year old whose last run wasn’t that inspiring, who teases an MMA career, and who doesn’t cut good promos? You can’t even brand her as your own homegrown. She’s too WWE associated from her Victoria years.
I wish they would look more at younger indy talent with an eye toward the future in this case. Someone like Rain could do more for the company if handled decently. And could be someone TNA could brand as their won. She’s more longterm to boot. They probably wouldn’t even have to pay her as much as Tara. And she’s only one option on the indy or foreign circuits.
But no. TNA refuses or isn’t capable of making their own stars and instead takes the lazy way out. *sigh*

I’m glad to see Tara back on the scene for sure. However, I thought that the night was supposed to end differently. I knew that Tara was in negotiation with TNA, but on the TBP (The Beautiful People) standpoint, I read that Velvet Sky was going to turn on Madison Rayne and realign herself with Angelina Love by forming the original TBP faction.

I love Victoria so I do want her to be on tv again and I don’t get why people said her run sucked I thought it was really good exept for her title reigns. The KO division needed tara because there lacking in employees at the moment but hamada needs to return already its been a while they might as well release her its been 3-4 months since her last appearance and there not using her at all and at least taylor/sarita feud just began might be seeing double the ko action on IMPACT!

Well you know I’m thrilled. I missed TaRa! Yey! Finally someone I can really get behind. And yea she’s forty but she wrestles circles around a lot of these girls anyway. She definitley is the Kurt Angle of the womens division there. This could be very interesting if done correctly. But Angelina should have won with a definite pinfall. Atleast WWE hasn’t done that since the Kat/Harvina mess.
If Tara coming back messes up either Daffney or Sarita’s pushes… I’m gonna flip out.

i dont think it was a good move if they really brought tara backimean why have her lose and “retire” to only bring her back to aid the knockout who took her out? i think the new knockout is mia…….im hoping it is her cause i was really hoping to see victoira make her little return to wwe like trish does….
I’m sure there will be some drama on impact this week regarding the knockout title…I’m guessing Angelina will get striped of the title since the person who attacked Angelina wasn’t a BP

Congratulations to Angelina on being a four time KO champion, and good to see Tara’s return–I always liked her entrance theme and sorta vicious persona. I do hate to see the championship bouncing around this way without a pin fall, though. It totally cheapens the belt and you just wonder, “Why?” I’m sort of a traditionalist, though, and feel much the same way about three and four way matches that aren’t elimination matches, but this is pretty much worse cause at least their IS a pin fall, there, even if the champ doesn’t take it.
Not convinced it was Tara, at least from the few photos I’ve seen. Waiting to see the footage to be certain.
oh jeez fark this woman! sorry, i knw im gonna offend a lot of ppl, but I am seriously sick of seeing this woman pop in and out, she cant make up her goddamn mind..is it MMA or wrestling? WWE or TNA? Legit retire or kayfabe retire? Girl please! She is so past her prime (if she ever got there – imo she was always sloppy, no where near the best wrestler), she really needs to give the new girls their time and stop tainting her image.
I love tara and i believe she makes the TNA Ko division alot better because i know she has awesome matches with angelina,taylor,sarita and daffney, i know that if she faced hamada it would be an epic match. As far as I’m aware we still have no evidence to confirm is was Tara so wailing on her is premature to say the least.
I was of the understanding that Black Widow Customs only did work on cars and trucks, so the conclusion that it must be Tara because of the bike is flawed.
She has (or used to have) a Hayabusa but, from the photos, the bike used last night didn’t look like one. So no dice on that being proof either.
No offense to Tara, but she has run her course. I mean, she’s been the top star in TNA in the past year. I’m shocked that neither Daffney nor Sarita has had a title run, and that Hamada has been MIA for the past who knows months.
