Rather odd yet interesting, Vickie Guerrero — who hasn’t been seen with Lay-Cool in some time — is mentioned in the WWE.com preview for the Layla vs Kelly match at Money in the Bank. The site writes:
Secondly, could Official SmackDown Consultant Vickie Guerrero exert her power in some form? In recent weeks Vickie’s attention has been on Dolph Ziggler and his quest to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match (preview), but certainly Vickie has not forgotten about Layla. After all, Layla won the title in a Handicap Match orchestrated by none other than Vickie herself.
Perhaps they were just struggling to meet their word limit, or perhaps this is some foreshadowing for Sunday? I certainly found it curious as we haven’t seen Lay-Cool and Vickie interact in quite some time. I’d love to see her back involved with them though.

i think there’s quite the possibility of this match being turned into yet another handicap match via vickie g
i think it will be made a triple threat or a handicap match, i think if it’s going to be a Handicap match it should be 1 on Tag (meaning Layla and Michelle have to tag each other to get in the ring) because i very much doubt Kelly would get the upper hand at all in a regular handicap match
I’ve been thinking that Vickie will turn it into a handicap match claiming they are co champions, and then she will bar Tiffany from ringside. Kelly will end up rolling Michelle McCool up after miscommunication between Laycool and celebrate, then Vickie says oh no, Layla is the official champion so you must pin her. Then Laycool attacks Kelly from behind and Layla pins her to retain the belt(s). I’d like that to happen too, as I think it’d be unique.

I was thinking this might happen, right from the point the match was announced as Kelly facing the “officially recognised Women’s Champion, Layla” by Josh Mathews and continuing across all commentary on SD women’s matches.
I reckon it’ll go down as follows:
Kelly comes out w/ Tiffany, Layla w/ Michelle
Back-and-forth affair between the two ladies, hopefully to a decent standard. I’d suggest Layla will be doing most of the work. This goes on for a few minutes.
BAM! Michelle gets involved behind the ref’s back/ tries to by getting up on the apron.
Tiffany runs round to neutralise Michelle, and the two grapple on the outside.
Kelly with a roll-up on Layla for the three count. She celebrates with Tiffany in the ring, while Lay-Cool look shocked on the outside.
“EXCUSE ME! EXCUSE ME!” – out comes Vickie Guerrero, who claims that ‘as Official Consultant to Smackdown’ she rules that since Kelly hasn’t beaten Michelle too, she doesn’t get the title. And that match is…now.
Michelle hops in the ring, hits a distracted and exhausted Kelly with a big boot or a Faithbreaker for the easy three count.
This achieves a tonne of aims: gives Kelly more fan sympathy; prolongs the program by giving Kelly a legitimate excuse to stay in the title picture; gives LayCool some serious heel heat for retaining by such underhanded means; opens the storyline up to some Vickie involvement; and blurs the lines of who the ‘real’ women’s champ is, if both women are actively defending it.
I reckon that, based on what we’ve seen from the 5 women involved, this could go down extremely well with the fans on Sunday. Fingers crossed Eve and Alicia can step it up and compete with their blue brand counterparts.
I HOPE NOT! I want Kelly to win :( Maybe they can have a tag match like TNA did without a dude winning the title XD

I’m crossing my fingers too. I don’t want to see Kelly win the Womens Championship just yet. Save the next reign for Melina Perez. Kelly will eventually get it I’m sure..though id rather have her get the Divas Title..you know because its so pretty and it kinda goes with her.. :p

It would make more sense than Vickie….but then again wrestling has been making much sense at all recently.
welcome, johnny. i quite like that idea but i’m not keen on the focus given to michelle. layla’s been in her shadow enough and even as champion, she’s still there. much like tna have done with madison rayne, i would prefer it if mccool wasn’t in her corner during the important matches.. has layla even had a pinfall (whether it be singles or tag matches) recently, which wasn’t due to mccool’s interference?
thinking about it, with the diva’s title now on the line at the ppv, i feel that there may be a switch happening. whether that’ll be kelly as new women’s champ or eve regaining the diva’s belt, iunno. not sure which would be worse, actually.
my guess is that it will be an handicap match(Laycool vs Kelly,like when Beth lost the title) because of the co-championship thing,this ordered by Vickie,of course.
but if this happens i expect something to happen to even the odds,because Kelly winning by herself this match would be unlogical(her winning anyway would be bad).

I’m with you, Layla needs to be a stronger champion in her own right, but it needs to happen slowly – just this past week, she had to have Michelle kick Kelly in their tag match for the win, and had to be saved by Michelle when Kelly attacked her backstage on SD. To suddenly have her come out without Michelle, despite the fact they’re besties and “co-champs” wouldn’t make much sense…
I’d say some time down the line, in a few months, they should have Layla send Michelle to the back after their choreographed entrance, claiming she doesn’t need her help to defeat Kelly, only for K2 to pick up an upset victory. It would be a great lead-in to a Lay-Cool feud!
let’s not all judge Vickie as the ‘woman who will help Layla retain’.. you never know, we could see a face turn for Vickie as she may stop Michelle from interfering in the match.. or, this could all be a big lie & Vickie could have NOTHING to do with the match!
i am praying it does not turn into Vickie vs Kelly Kelly vs Layla.. if it does, i’ve lived a happy life, see everybody on the other side :)

If it is just straight up Kelly vs Layla, I could see a decent reaction. But if Michelle or her dumb theme music is involved, bye bye the general crowd interest.
Still, kinda random they would mention Vickie. Their interaction seems to stop from out of no where as if they went “We are so wasting Vickie’s heat on the divas. Let’s put her with someone who can get over.”

To be honest, I don’t give a flying fuck what happens, just as long as by the end of the show, Layla is still the women’s champion.
