Always first for originality, TNA’s next pay per view — Hard Justice — has been renamed Hardcore Justice: The Last Stand and will be a tribute show featuring many ECW originals. But of the names rumoured so far [Jerry Lynn, CW Anderson etc.], there doesn’t seem to be any women from the original ECW. Hmm, just an oversight I’m sure…
To help out Dixie and co., here’s our guide to the four women we’d like to see:
Beulah
Hardcore history: Making her ECW debut in 1995, Beulah was introduced a major catalyst in a feud between Tommy Dreamer and Raven. The two feuded over Beulah and there were many twists and turns including a fake pregnancy. After siding with Dreamer, Beulah was then revealed to have had an affair — with a woman! Perhaps her biggest highlight is a bloody brawl with Bill Alfonso. Beulah re-emerged in the WWE incarnation of ECW, catfighting with old rival Francine at One Night Stand in 2005 and then competing in a six-person tag match involving Lita in 2006.
Why she should be at the PPV: As Tommy Dreamer’s wife, it’s entirely possibly that Beulah may turn up at Hardcore Justice. Dreamer is reportedly putting the show together and it’d wouldn’t be a surprise to see his wife by his side at the pay per view. Perhaps a Dreamer/Raven rematch for old time’s sake with Beulah at ringside?

Dawn Marie
Hardcore history: Known in ECW for managing the Impact Players (Lance Storm and Justin Credible), Dawn Marie guided her boys to the ECW Tag Team Championships. But most people know her from her WWE days, where she was the original cougar of SmackDown. Her infamous feud with Torrie Wilson provided some of the highest rated segments at that time, as she married Torrie’s dad Al, who later died on their honeymoon. She also came between Charlie Haas and Miss Jackie in another feud before being released in 2005.
Why she should be at the PPV: As one of the most recognisable ex-ECW names due to her time in WWE, why not? It’s been years since we’ve seen Dawn on our screens. Since Karen Angle left, we haven’t really seen a cougar in TNA — and no, Dixie Carter doesn’t count. She could definitely provide some nostalgic appeal. As for what role she could play, who knows? She did manage Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger near the end, and word is they’re booked for the TNA PPV.

Francine
Hardcore history: Nicknamed the ‘Queen of Extreme’ (before Lita, that is), Francine was one of the original ECW bad girls. She has had a catfight with just about every name you can think of from Beulah and Dawn to Kelly Kelly and Shelly Martinez! The original ECW Vixen, Francine was brought up to ECW TV in 1995 as Stevie Richards’ manager. Later in 2006, she joined the WWE incarnation of ECW, competing in bikini contests with Kelly on house shows and feuded with Shelly Martinez’s goth princess, Ariel, on the TV show. She also had a brief stint with TNA in 2002.
Why she should be at the PPV: You can’t have Francine without a catfight! Whether it be Beulah, Dawn or even Lacey Von Erich, let her have at it!

Jazz
Hardcore history: The incredible two-time WWE Women’s Champion, Jazz, is one of the toughest women in wrestling. Though in ECW for just a short time, her stint was incredibly memorable — she wrestled men! The tough-as-nails wrestler victoriously defeated Jason Knight on PPV before joining WWE in 2001. The rest, as they say, is history. As a two-time Women’s Champion, Jazz competed in two consecutive WrestleManias and had a lengthy and brutal feud with Trish Stratus.
Why she should be at the PPV: Jazz is not only an ECW original but as tough and powerful as any Knockout I’ve ever seen. Like her ECW vs WWE match with Mickie James, you could put her on the card against a current TNA Knockout i.e. Angelina Love, who is the top babyface right now. A pay per view needs a women’s match and bringing in Jazz to wrestle will help do that while playing into the ECW theme. Plus, we just really want to see Jazz back on our TV screens.

It would be cool to see all them but I think only beulah and jazz would be in-shap for it. Didn’t Dawn and Francine recently have kids? not sure lol
Those are really the only women that I think of when I think of ECW. Them and Kimona
I think these would all be great vixens to have on the show. I actually do think Beulah and Francine will be at this ppv just to have a good nostalgia catfight lol. As far as Jazz goes, actually I would have her as a face along with the rest of the ecw guys. Since this is extreme ppv, it has to be somekind of a hardcore stipulation. I would have Jazz face Sarita in a street fight or something. I don’t think she should face Angelina because I don’t want a face vs. face match. I also don’t want her to face Madison because she is the champion is she loses, it hurts her creditbility. I say Sarita would be the best choice for these reasons and I think they can have a decent hardcore match.
lita would be a big blow to wwe, haha.
francine appeared in tna years ago, i’d like to see her back. jazz would be a great fit, too, but as it’s most likely a one-time gig, i’d rather not see any ecw women turn up at the ppv.. it’ll be too much of a tease for me.
hopefully we still get a knockouts match, though!

that was a good match, i would love to see Jazz back on TV, the other 2 were a bit crap, and i don’t think Dawn marie would do it
Francine and Beulah are the only 2 that had an impact on ECW when ECW was still in it’s good years.
- Lita was only in ECW for a short while near the end, and had zero impact.
- Jazz was there in 1999-2000 near the end, but didnt make a lot of appearances.
- Chastity (Raven’s 3rd valet) is probably forgotten by most people.
- Kimona Wanalaya (Raven’s 2nd valet), was there less than a year.
- Elektra, didnt stick around very long either.
- Luna Vachon was there the longest (3 years) if you dont count Beulah/Francine
Dawn Marie & Tammy Sytch: Both were in ECW in the last 2 years of ECW, but the company was already far past their peak, with their lockerroom being raided by WCW and WWF. There work is very forgettable, neither Dawn or Tammy was able to make us fans forget the old Beulah/Francine feuds.
So if TNA wants to bring in some ECW valets go for Francine and Beulah, the others really dont matter. Some probably prefer Dawn Marie, but like Jazz and Lita she is mostly known for her work in WWE.

4. Dawn Marie
5. Tammy Sytch (only thanks to her involvement with the Triple Threat)
I’d honestly like to see ECW just rest in peace already.
But if they were to bring any female talent for this PPV, I’d like to see Luna and/or Jazz.
Jazz & Luna vs. TBP for the titles ??? / Jazz vs. Rayne for the title would be nice too.

actually im surprised no one in here mentioned her…she had a memorable stint in ECW as the Prodigette managing the sideshow freaks…and she also feuded with Jazz during it’s last years, along with facing some male wrestlers…
if anyone, she deserves to be on that list as well for possible booking

She made her debut in 2000 (ECW closed in 2001), and didn’t really do much other than her feud with Jazz. And nobody really cared about the sideshow freaks, they were just jobbers in an era where most of the main talent in ECW had already left. Angel Orsini is a great wrestler, but nobody remembers her for her work in ECW.

Their main show (ECW Hardcore TV) was a syndicated program from 1993-2000. But in 1999-2000 they went national on TNN (Spike’s predecessor) for about 14 months.
Well I don’t think they are gonna involve the knockouts in the ECW theme but if they do I’d like Jazz & Dawn Marie to be called up. Jazz could easily go at it in the ring and maybe so could Dawn. Don’t know how the ring rust would look with her. I could easily see Beulah and Francine brought up though.

I would love to see TNA bring them for Women back, it would be awesome to see them, but i am really hopin for Beulah and francine,
francine is sad. Beulah should be there. francine never made that big of an impact to me. she ruined the second tommy vs raven feud cause she looks like and plays the whore. she sucked as a wrestler aswell. Beulah made the impact and you could tell at ONS. Fans popped more for her then fran. fran should be with her backstabing friend tammy and fade away. Dawn I would love to show up. Dawn made me want to watch ECW as far as QUEENS go when Beulah left. Someone I could get behind. Jazz hands down needs to show up. I have a feeling Beulah will be with Tommy and Raven if there is a tag match. After the way wwe treated her and Tommy she should have a final send off that is respectful. Jazz could be with them aswell. I wish Trinity was with the old ECW cause damn what a comeback. lol vince is such a dumbass for not having punk and trinity vs jazz and dreamer. They let the non wrestlers wrestle and made the wrestlers valet. that’s wwe.
BTW Luna wasn’t in ECW for that long. I would LOVE to see Angel in TNA. Such a talented lady with a background in mma. Her work in ECW, WEW, and now WSU is great. Something that is missing with women in wrestling. No characters and justs whores and bimbos.

(I’d rather see the Hardcore match with Jazz, Luna, Francine, Beulah, Madison, Angelina Love, DAFFNEY, Hamada, Taylor Wilde, and Sarita.
I’d love to see all four. They all had an impact in the original ECW. Jazz can still go as a wrestler and the other 3 would be great valets. You can’t have an ECW show without at least one of the original ECW vixens.

Personally, I was never a fan of Beulah. I didn’t think she brought much to the table. The match with Fonzie was all Fonzie. But I am not going to bash her tho. I always thought the supreme ECW woman was Francine. She played her character so well and took the best bumps out of all the ECW girls. And she was very sexy. Would of loved to see her at this ppv in front of the live crowd.
