Exclusive: Traci Brooks on Her Time in TNA, Current Direction of Knockouts, Canadians in Wrestling & More

The original TNA Knockout, Traci Brooks sat down with Diva Dirt earlier this week in her first interview since being released from her TNA contract back in March. Traci spoke to David and Cryssi in this 50 minute interview, and had plenty of stories and great humor to boot!

Traci discusses how she got into wrestling in Canada, coming up the ranks with Gail Kim before discussing her time in TNA from the early days of working at the Asylum in Nashville to TNA’s current home of Orlando. We get Traci’s thoughts on working a high profile program with Payton Banks, to the birth of the Knockouts division and her role in the division. Traci offers her insight into the current direction of the Knockouts division, also. Other topics include her work on the independents and whether Canadians really do produce the best wrestlers.

    Great interview! (:

    Dear WWE,
    Hire Traci Brooks NOW!

I have always loved Traci. I wanted her to win the title badly when she was in TNA, and I literally thought everytime she ref’d a match with Taylor in it she was going to turn on her and attack her. Then that huge battle royal came where she was the ref who eventually won it and my hopes rose again, only to be let down again. But I’m happy to hear that she’s doing well and I loved her stories about Gail since Gail is also one of my favorites of all time. Amazing Awesome Epic Outrageously Excellent interview and words can not describe how jealous I am of Kazarian.

Canadians are the best. Like, go Canadians! I mean, seriously. Trish Stratus anyone?

I wish I were Canadian. It would make so much sense.

Great interview, and now I know why I’ve always loved Tracy. It’s that voice! She is just sooo cool. I could totally imagine being friends with her. She rocks.

Very good interview, she came across as so down to earth, she seems like an awesome personality to be around! Shame our reader questions weren’t read out. I understand time constraints but I think that might be the 3rd interview in a row now!

Nevertheless, just had a nice chilled out and insightful 50 minutes. :)

Good interview. Much better than her last interview from a year ago where she sounded too much like a ‘TNA employee’, she was much more open in this interview.

Wow what an amazing interview. Well done David & Cryssi. I love Traci and she sounds like an amazing person. She certainly has had an amazing career even though she never won the KO Title or went to WWE. I hope this isn’t the end of her wrestling career though. I’d love TNA to resign her or have WWE pick her up. Even though I highly doubt WWE would hire her. We love you Traci!

Sorry jack…we went with the flow and we apologize if none of the questions made the air. Hopefully you still enjoyed the conversation…she was very generous with her time.

I feel like a lot of the questions were addressed, just maybe not in the way they were written in to dd?

Not gonna lie, wasn’t a huge fan of hers while she was in TNA. However, she is well spoken and funny and I love how she doesn’t bad mouth the company that made her what she is. I like how she put over being a valet too, nice to hear because I agree that not everyone has to wrestle in order to make a mark and be used effectively. I think that she is too old for the WWE to consider bringing her in and she is a TNA original so that doesn’t help her either. It would be nice though, seeing as it was her dream and still sort of is.

It still feels weird watching TNA and not seeing Traci Brooks. She is a class act, and I wish her the best in all her future endeavors.

  • mojodoom

I miss her ginormous funbags. She sounds like a more feminine Chyna. I don’t think we’ll ever see her on TV again. It’s rather obvious that WWE only hire two types of women, the gorgeous model types and the exceptional wrestlers. She’s only ok looking and not exactly a ring general. So yeah WWE is out of the question.

  • Jack5326

@MrGlamazon I definitely did enjoy it and I’m not picking at you for not using the questions, I thought the interview was great! :)

  • theshape31

Not a fan of hers as a wrestler, but that’s one classy lady.
