* Vickie Guerrero announced Michelle McCool will replace Layla in a match against Tiffany. The match is still for the WWE Women’s Championship.

* WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool w/Layla b. Tiffany w/Kelly Kelly to retain.
- Layla interfered, allowing McCool to get the win. Teddy Long came out and said there only needs to be one Women’s Champion and they can either decide for themselves or he’ll decide for them next week. They argue to end the segment. (Source: Wrestling News World)

I definitely see this as only the beginning of the LayCool breakup. I think Layla will keep the title and McCool, who is obviously the more jealous one, will eventually get tired of taking the back seat to her protege, so to speak. They aren’t going to break them up too quickly because they are featured on NXT and they are the best thing Smackdown’s divia division has going for it. And it was only a couple of weeks ago or so, that it was reported that creative is high on them as a team and I doubt they have come down from said high yet because they have done nothing but get better. I do see Layla doing good as a face because McCool can’t really do it, she gets way too generic with it.

My storyline prediction:
Laycool will not be able to decide on whos champion(which now will actually be Mccool)
Then Teddy Long will vacate the title and say that the champion will be determined at Summerslam. Layla and Mccool will try to get the other to lay down for the other but it won’t work so they engage in a huge catfight in which no one wins(maybe a double countout or double disqualification) and beth phoenix returns(wishful thinking) and three way fued

I think that this should go on for a while and they should have them slowly fight over kaval on nxt and just build up this breakup instead of ending it in the next 2 weeks. With Beth due for a return soon they could bring her in to make the matters that much more interesting.

I want to see Layla as champ and heel or face to have a good reign or at least until night of champions. I agree with The Crying Light, i’ve enjoyed pretty much every push in the past few years with the exception of Michelle (and Candice but thats another story). Michelle never won me over face or heel, before the Undertaker stuff even started i never liked her. It would be interesting to see Michelle face and Layla as heel but its good either way. Layla would end up being the top heel of face until Beth returns (or aj lee debuts?).
