Diva Dirt reader Nick attended the SmackDown live event in Sydney, Australia last night and sent in this report:
The Hart Dynasty def. The Straight Edge Society.
During the match Natalya powerslamed Joey Mercury and took out Serena which by far got the biggest pop of the night.Layla def. Kelly in a slow, sloppy match.
Not a lot of actual wrestling, Kelly came out with a pyro though. Before the match started, Layla started spraying the deodorant yelling “Smelly Kelly” and doing stupid warm ups until Kelly tripped her. Layla dominated most of the match, Kelly hit the K2 for a two and a half count, Layla then hit the lay-out for the win. This match was a tad disappointing. No sign of Michelle or Tiffany unfortunately.On a sidenote: Natalya is STUNNING in real life.

Natalya and Serena in the ring together sounds promising. It’s beyond me as to why the WWE chooses to have the women who look pretty wrestle and have the professionally trained women wrestlers as valets or jobbers
i was also at the show last night, Natalya was really friendly and she shook hand with everyone that poked their hand out, she was really involved and the bodyslam was a definite high-light of the night, as for the divas match there was too much show-boating. Layla sprayed perfume almost everywhere, as for the match it was not bad, Kelly hit the K2 but Layla kicked out, Layla hit a nice neckbreaker for the win, surprisingly Kelly had pyro and she was hyped up a lot in video-packages.
nattie & Serena should be wrestling putting kelly in the ring is just stupid thats why theirs sloppy matches….
Sorry to Kelly fans but I think Kelly and Serena should switch places and let Kelly go straight edge and shave her hed or maybe rosa. Wwe knows they could of easily put a model or less experienced wrestler to play serenas role. Deeb needs to be in the ring!
Serena didn’t do much in the match, but i agree with SoCalLove ,
I don’t get it…isn’t a finisher supposed to finish a match? Esp in divas matches? It doesn’t make any sense. haha

^ yeah.. i think kelly’s hit the k2 on layla on tv before, only to get a 2 count. i understand layla’s the champion, but it’s only making kelly look weaker than she is.
the hart dynasty are wrestling smackdown house shows.. they should let them wrestle on both brands on tv – put ‘em in a feud with ses akin to their one with the usos.. be a great way to get serena in the ring as well as using natalya in their women’s division.

i might be wrong, but last year was a one-off. i do hope they have another one, though, as soon as possible. the rosters are too unbalanced.
Well the hart dynasty are unified champions which means they can go on both brands so why not let SES vs Hart Dynasty I think that Cm Punk should leave SES and just let luke, joey and serena be a part of it,
1. The Hart Dynasty (w/Natalya) defeated Joseph Mercury and Luke Gallows (w/Serena). Sadly, CM Punk is not out with SES. Kidd and Mercury start. Big “You suck” chant for Mercury after he takes down Kidd and taunts the crowd. Kidd reverses some arm work with Owen Hart’s backflip off the rope and brings in Smith, Mercury quickly tags in Gallows. Delayed vertical suplex by Smith.
Kidd back in and SES takes control. Mercury hits a nice Northern Lights suplex with a leg cradle. Hot tag to Smith, who hits three shoulder blocks and a pair of suplexes. Things break down as Kidd cannonballs onto Gallows on the floor. Smith goes for the Sharpshooter, but Serena distracts him and Mercury slips out. Natalya pulls him out of the ring, slams him on the floor, and rolls him back in. Smith gets the Sharpshooter this time and Mercury taps. Good finish with all six involved in the pandemonium.
4. Layla beat Kelly Kelly to retain the WWE Women’s Championship. Layla out by herself tonight. Kelly Kelly gets a nice pop as the Aussie males in the crowd bring out the wolf whistles. “Kelly Be Scared” T-shirt for Layla. Layla starts to take off her T-shirt, then pulls it back on for some heat. Funny.
Kelly with some sloppy flippy counters to Layla, then pulls off Layla’s shirt to a pop, followed by a stinkface to a louder pop. Kelly’s getting close to PG-13 territory here, but I doubt we’ll see her get the Daniel Bryan treatment. Cheap shot by Layla to take over. Kelly with a rocker dropper for a near far. Layla counters a handspring elbow with two boots to the back, hits a good Lay Out neckbreaker, and gets the win.
YES! S.E.S vs The Hart Dynasty! About time, once Summerslam is over, Big Show can fued with just Punk and then let Nattie and Serena at it! Cannot wait; my ideal plan for Nattie could be coming to us soon! :)
@HooperLad: I was supposed to go but I wasn’t allowed at the last minute, FML! I’m so ecstatic to read that McCool hadn’t appeared, because I only wanted to see her anyway, and Layla kinda. YAY!
PS. HooperLad, what part of Sydney do you live in, or are you from out of town?
I hope that The Hart Dynasty vs. SES is something that will carry on to TV.

This is very true.
why doesn’t the wwe capitalize on this. natalya is by far the most popular diva on the raw roster if not the whole company.. she gets great pops. now melina is back, im guessing natalya will play the 3rd top babyface behind melina & eve.
SES vs Harts…I’m seriously liking it.
I think they may even be building to it on TV. While Punk’s been injured, they’ve run the whole “everyone’s disappointed me” storyline, with Gallows losing a match, Serena slipping off the wagon and Mercury getting unmasked. They’ve marginally redeemed themselves in helping him against Show, but he does keep telling them to “impress him” and “just do something!”
I see Show vs Punk ending with Show winning, possibly due to botched interference, leading to the SES (minus Punk) feuding with the Harts to try and win the tag titles and prove a point to their leader.
So if the unified tag team championshi belts belong to both brands then why do The Hart Dynasty stay on Raw? They need to share the love. USO vs. THD vs SES would be awesome.
layla could be the champ but she isnt the strongest in there so making her kick out after a finisher is wierd!!
Serena and Natalya will be great though I want a 1-on-1 with Tamina first.
As for Layla and Kelly, I hope they improve or switch so Kelly vs Michelle and Tiffany vs Layla in the future as they have better chemistries!
What would be amazing is The Usos and Tamina vs Joey mercury and Luke gallows and Serena vs The Hart Dynasty and Natayla in a third threat match…… OMG!!!!

WWE doesnt really care about Smackdown right now. They are waiting for SD to make the move to SyFy first. After that they will probably improve the show.
