AAA wrestler, Sexy Star has indicated on her Twitter page that she is in Tampa, FL, the home of WWE developmental territory, FCW. As reported a couple of weeks ago, Star has reportedly been looking to join WWE.
WWE held a tryouts over the weekend for prospective talents. On his blog, Jim Ross stated that 63 wrestlers were part of the tryouts with 2-5 expected to be signed.
While Star didn’t confirm that she was at the FCW tryouts, it seems likely that this is why she is in Tampa.
Among the tweets posted, were this picture with the quote, “I love Tampa Florida.” Additionally, Star posted a picture of herself with independent star, Rain (Payton Banks in TNA) who resides in Tampa.

I wonder what other trained and/or indie female wrestlers took part in the tryout camp? I really hope the WWE does sign Sexy Star to the company. I also hope they additionally signs Faby Apache even if she didn’t participated in the tryouts.

Im dieing to find out the 2-5 who were expected to be signed im already jumping to find out, im hoping for indy wrestlers from the real wrestling industry and not just models who recently started training and tryed out right away.
I hope they sign her but It’ll probably be all men :(

I’m always happy to hear of WWE signing girls from the indies. They deserve some recognition and should have the chance to make a decent living. You know, for all their hard work and them broken bones. With that said, I stil have what McMahon said roaming in the back of my mind..something about easier to turn models into wrestlers and not the other way around. I hate it because I don’t see it, I just don’t see it. The only woman who has been able to achieve and maintain great success as a former model was Trish. That’s the only person I can think of who broke the mold. But Trish is the exception I guess.
All the others did okay, some better than okay, but they all faded and never lasted. Anyone who comes close would have to be Michelle McCool. She’s turned into a very good worker. And you can tell the girl’s got fire in her, she loves it and she’s a perfectionist. I’m sure she’s striving to win more titles than Trish and she just might. Her job is secure and we can say Taker could be an influence, but we can’t deny McCool works her ass off to get better. The main thing she’s got to work on would be getting the live crowds involved with her character. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
Anyway, I believe its better to have real workers and refine their image if need be. Ofcourse, not a complete transformation, just a little shine here and there. Although I love and appreciate all recent girls, id pick women like Jazz, Ivory, Jackie, Tori, and Molly over them anyday. WWE Divas were awesome because they were each attractive in their own way and were their own character out there. Now its all about blending in to look like just another pretty face which is damn sad if u ask me. The diverse group they had before was what set the WWE’s ladies apart from ther girls in other shows. Now its like they’re all friends with Hugh Hefners Girls Next Door or something.
Well anyway, hire some freakin indy girls WWE!!! Them girls know how to kick ass, look good and work the crowds!! What more do you want!!? :p
Awesome. I hope the tryouts go well for her. The more international talent (emphasis on talent) the better.
Speaking of Rain, where has she been as of late? She hasn’t appeared in a bunch of AAA tapings as of late. The last match I remember her being in ended with her on the wrong end of a Mari Apache beatdown.
I would also like to see the WWE hire some of Sexy Star’s female heel cohorts in AAA, they are Rain, Jennifer Blake, and Christina Von Eerie.

Jennifer blake did get a try-out match against michelle mccool a few months ago i think they didnt sign her. Also christina von eerie is pretty amazing but she doesnt have the diva look she has that kind of rock/punk look she would fit in “wrestlicious” but not really TNA should sign her.

While I’m not 100% sure I believe the reports of Jennifer Blake receiving a tryout match with the WWE a couple of months back were untrue, I think they were the same reports that also stated the WWE signed her up to a development deal.

Oh I agree ozzyv that WWE does indeed needs to hire Indy women as well as International like Sexy Star,independent scene,and if they want hire models,I say go ahead but it is on their heads when she can’t wrestle and they have decided to release the model when there are women who looks exactly like the model who can kick butts inside the ring,looks good and also can work the crowds.I am sure that a model can do the same but it will take years before she can enter the doors of the WWE. I do hope that WWE does hire Sexy Star from AAA ,women from independent scene knows to kick some butts in the ring,looks good,and knows how to work a crowd.What WWE needs an all women televised tryouts featuring women wrestlers from the independent scene and out of 36 that 24 will be receiving WWE contracts.
If she gets signed, I hope she doesn’t have to have any kind of surgery or ‘enhancements.’ Hope they let her keep her distinctive style & mask as well.
Let’s hope WWE sign her and don’t do a Dos Caras Jr. with her and take her mask from her! I even tweeted JR that I hope he and the other talent relations people sign her; doubt I’ll make a difference but you never know!
I hope if she went to tryout that WWE have to sign her! There are 101 ways to use her simply given her character (1m more based on talent!)
Also, I wonder if Sexy Star tried out, I wonder if Rain and/or Jen Blake did???
well, J.R who was there evaluting,(which is a good thing, he signed Trish, Victoria, Torrie and all them), said that out of 63 that tryed out, only 2-5 or 8-10 was gonna make, it, so it doesnt look that good for Sexy Star, but they were suppose to find out today if they got signed
she better hook up with 1 of wwe top dogs so she can recive a push like michelle mccool did .

Hopefully Sexy Star gets signed! She seems really good. But, no offence to her but RAIN! I really hope she tried out, and made the cut! She has a Diva look and everything, so I don’t see why she never got signed before…
As for Jennifer Blake, I believe the try out story was true. Developmental deal was not true, which is too bad… Especially considering this is her 2nd try out with WWE (back in Canada where they signed Shantelle Taylor aka Taylor Wilde!

Sign Star? Maybe so but if good things can be done.
I just read a report on another site that allegedly former TNA Knockout & current AAA roster member Rain also participated in the tryouts.

Christina Von Eerie may not have the Diva look,but before there was a such name for women wrestlers in The WWE called Divas in the past that there were women wrestlers that didn’t have the Diva look such as Luna Vachon,Bull Nakano,Bertha Faye,Sapphire and so on.WWE needs to get off the tip of hiring Miss America type women wrestlers and hire different spectrum of women wrestlers,Beth Phoenix, Tamina,Jemma Palmer, and Natayla are different than Maryse,Michelle McCool, Tiffany,Kelly Kelly,Alicia Fox,Bellas,Rosa,and some of their past women wrestlers that we have seen throughout the years.
