Former Diva, Torrie Wilson announced on her Twitter page yesterday that a fat burning supplement she has been working on is nearing completion.

The product, which is aimed at females, will be out later in the year.

Torrie’s body has always been banging, so I’m sure this is right up her alley.

It’s great to see another ex-Diva showing off her entrepreneurial skills. Torrie already owns a clothing store in Houston, TX called Jaded.

Other former Divas who have invested in businesses and products include Trish Stratus, Lisa Marie Varon and Jackie Haas to name but a few. It definitely seems like a good, practical decision for life after wrestling.

Good luck to Torrie!

  1. nothing burns fat except eating less and moving more…you would think torrie would know that and not try to capitalize on desperate fat people…

  2. eating less isnt the only thing there are fat burners & appetite depressers & supplements…

  3. appetite suppressants are very different than ‘fat burners’…if it’s an appetite suppressant, that’s cool…but there is no such thing as a ‘fat burner’…the only thing that burns fat is exercise…

  4. i don’t like the thought of this as there are enough young women in the world with self-esteem issues, having somebody that a lot of ladies and girls looks up to, come out with it isn’t an idea i’m keen on. regardless, good luck to her, i guess.

  5. “It’s great to see another ex-Diva showing off her entrepreneurial skills.”

Oh yeah. Isn’t it great to see people selling snake oil?

    What a joke.

  6. I think it’s kinda unfair talking about that she’s targeting ‘fat desperate people’, it’s something to do with fitness not something in everyday life you should take to just make yourself thin and at first glance it’s easy to see how some people could make the assumption that she is trying to make something that will make the fat completley disappear for anyone or whatever, she knows first hand about having self-esteem issues and I don’t think she would be that malicious as to target people like that or insinuate that they need to lose weight etc. I have followed Torrie her whole career and I support her 100% it’s only an experiment after all, and she’s just trying something different for herself and from her experience as a fitness model she is trying to use that knowledge to attempt to perhaps make working out a tiny bit easier for people in that sort of group, I dunno I just wish her the best of luck and hope it all works out :)

  7. I thought Torrie closed her shop already, or did she re-open it?

  8. I am so happy that one of my favorite Divas currently lives in my hometown of Houston!

  9. wow my wish just came true…i just wished to see torrie doing something new and here we r
abiut fat burners…a friend of mine used a fat burner while goin to gym and it worked for him…he lost more weight than usual

  10. I workout regularly myself and I used to take fat burners. They make me anxious so I don’t recommend it for anyone who’s sensitive to caffeine and that sort of stuff. And I doubt Torrie is pushing it onto desperate people. For Fuck”s Sake, its an alternative to other similiar products. Nobody is putting a gun to anyone’s head to go buy them. Torrie comes from a health and fitness background, so selling fatburners isn’t a stretch as a business venture.

  11. There’s no “snake oil” here. She’s announced she’s almost done with a fat burning *supplement*. She didn’t say fat burning drink/food/whatever – just a supplement. She hasn’t falsely advertised anything, heck it’s just a headsup, not even an actual advertisement for a finished product. People should calm down and maybe give her the benefit of the doubt. Torrie’s a nice, decent woman. I dont’ think she’s targeting anyone except maybe people who would like to lose weight and need help doing so. I’m sure it’ll come with a cautionary word, such as this needs to be used in conjunction with diet & exercise.

Best wishes to Torrie, hope her product is successful!

  12. It will probably be crap like most other such products, but if other people are making money off of it then, I guess, why not her? I don’t really agree with the idea, though, that because her body has always been “banging” this is an appropriate venture. I’m aware she was a fitness model, but I still feel the only people really qualified to instruct me about any form of pill are my doctors. Still as someone else has already pointed out – if you don’t want it, don’t take it.

  13. Did those of you who are criticizing this product even read the snippet Melanie wrote about it? (All 12 words of it) The original post uses the word “supplement”. Let’s look at the definition of that word. . .”Something added to complete a thing, make up for a deficiency, or extend or strengthen the whole.”

Where in that definition does it say that the product is claiming to burn fat all by it’s lonesome? Theoretically, (I’m not saying it’ll work) a fat burning supplement claims to aide in the burning of fat when coupled with both diet and exercise. I fail to see any foul play or “snake oil” here. Just people who need a dictionary.

  14. Isn’t that the beauty of all such “supplements” of this nature? Torrie is not at all the first person to come out with such a supplement, all of which also require diet and exercise along with the pill. Diet and exercise are fabulous, but if you’re motivated enough to do those things you’re probably losing weight anyways. There are also very, very rarely hard numbers to back up these claims that such supplements help people lose any extra weight. I think all of us know the definition of “supplement” – it’s just that we also have enough experience seeing and perhaps even dealing with such products that we know a simple dictionary definition doesn’t cover the whole topic.

  15. I’m not sure how I can say this any simpler…NOTHING BURNS FAT EXCEPT FOR DIET AND EXERCISE…calling something a ‘fat burner’ (whether it says supplement or not) is a misnomer and, in my opinion, wildly irresponsible…99.9% of supposed ‘fat burners’ only help you lose water weight and/or lean muscle…The .1% of ‘fat burners’ that do actually help people lose weight do so by releasing hormones that can artificially speed up your metabolism…But, again, it’s not helping you burn fat…I don’t have an issue with Torrie marketing a supplement…I have an issue with calling it a ‘fat burner’…Someone is Torries position should know that ‘fat burners’ don’t work or exist and I find it distasteful that she would try to make money off of that…

  16. woo…some people are acting like she said she is about to release a magic potion or something….fat burners are not an innovative thing, so i see no tricks or emotion games in here
i never tried fat burners myself but i know people who tried it and it worked…of course not by itself… diet and exercises are required so the burner can just help in losing weight faster thats all

  17. Good for her. I miss Torrie. She is beautiful…
