Awesome interview. Mickie seems to have a great attitude.
I can’t wait to see her match against Kong, that will surely be a good one. It’s good she’s still doing a little wrestling here and there and hopefully she does really well with her music too!
Delusional
She’s such a sweet girl, and she’s honest without coming across as bitchy or bitter. I wish she was still in WWE, but she seems happy persuing music.
@justbringit: Ah, naturally. God forbid you actually say something nice for a change. That’d be asking too much, I guess.
it breaks and warms my heart to see her having such a positive attitude over something that she had no control over
Thoes where great interviews and i cant wait for her match with kong
Oh my god this interview was heartbreaking.. I nearly started crying its so sad.
I knew alot of divas where sad and stuff about their releases but after seeing this you can see it did hit Mickie the worst I mean the poor girl was broken hearted :(
Great interview, you can tell that everything Mickie had to say was from the heart and positive. Mickie is 110% right that she was getting the best reaction from fans than any other Diva on the roster. I like what Mickie had to say about the “Piggie James” storyline. She didn’t let it get her down and she took the storyline ran with, turning it into a positive message. I think WWE are kicking themselves in the butt for releasing Mickie. I’m glad Mickie decided to still wrestle even part time while pursuing her music career. I hope that maybe someday Mickie will return to the WWE as I wanted to see Mickie tie or break Trish Stratus’s record of most WWE Women’s title reigns. Maybe Mickie will sign with TNA and become the center piece of the Knockouts division as the Knockouts champion which would be the crowning piece of Mickie’s legacy.
Far as Mickie’s music career, I bought Mickie’s album “Strangers & Angels” and I love it. I’m not big country music fan but I really like every song on the album. I email my aunt an mp3 file of the title song from the album; “Strange & Angels” and my aunt like it. My aunt doesn’t know anything about Mickie James and even she like it. Yes, Mickie is no Carrie Underwood but everyone has to remember, Mickie had never sung professionally until she made this album. Most important thing is that Mickie is happy and enjoying herself. That’s what’s important, Mickie James fans should be happy for her and support Mickie as she wrestles on the independent circuit while pursing her music career.
@justbringit; if you don’t like Mickie James then just say so. You’re entitled to your opinion but just respect the rest of us. We don’t need for you to tell us every time there is a posting about Mickie James that you don’t like her, we get it. How was Mickie being delusional in her interview? All Mickie was doing was speaking from the heart.
PS Mickie James vs Awesome Kong, somebody has got to post that match on Youtube. that night.
Mickie James is a sweetheart. Love her and I’m sure she will be back in WWE soon. She just needs to get back in game shape and bring on some new moves and such. Something fresh to give us. Well that’s wishful makuping..haha PrettyInPink reference/ but anyway one day, my girl MJ will ride again.
aaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwww
I absolutely love this interview. Mickie always comes off wonderfully.
i just dont like how she said she was the most popular diva; true or not that is not for her to say. Lita, arguably the most popular diva of all time became the most hated in one night. anything could happen. other than that though, i liked the interview.
She probably meant the current division. Also I dont remember Lita being that popular. Sunny and Sable were way more popular.
I love how she can express her sadness and dissapointment about her release without sounding bitter. Great interview.
@litalover06: But she was the most popular diva. It’s not really arguable. She was the most popular women on the roster by far following Trish’s departure. That’s not to underestimate the popularity of the likes of Maria, Torrie, Ashley, Melina, Kelly Kelly etc, but Mickie was always a cut above them in that department.
I love Mickie in this interview she was so honest & didnt come off bitter. You have to think about when Mickie first came in the crowd loved her , when she was heel the crowd loved her. So basically Mickie did get the most pops. I guess Its good that Mickie isnt in we anymore , she made her stand , she has her huge fan base , she made history mickie will always go down as the greatest! I just hope we get to see her in WWE one day in the future
She seems like such a sweet person. God I miss her.
@Molly4ever – Don’t kid yourself, Lita was probably the most over woman in WWE History throughout her entire career. Wether she was loved or hated she got the crowd going. Sure Sable got her name chanted and was popular for about 2years, but when she returned nobody really cared. Except for that first lesbian storyline with Torrie, Sable was just eye candy and not even the hottest by that point. She simply wasn’t relevant anymore. Lita was still getting ovations and name chants. Sunny was getting pops because she was hot. Besides who else did she have to compete with during her time? It was just her, Marlena and later Sable. Its no wonder she got so much attention.
But if you want to argue who left an impression look no further than Lita and Trish. During the 15th Aniversary of RAW did Sunny get much of a reaction? The answer is no. Did Lita get one? The answer is yes. So who was really more popular? Yea you guessed it, Lita.
She came across as very classy in this interview and good for her. Although she as obviously gutted about being released, there is a big part of her that obviously still respects the WWE, and it’s good that she has that side to her. As much as I don’t like her music, it’s good that she is jumping in with both feet and giving it a shot. Class act right there.
Oh and she said her music is wrapped up in a nice little package. Has she seen her album cover lol?
I love her and how honest she was in this interview. It was heartbreaking. I couldn’t believe that the crowd was chanting ‘we want mickie’ when I was watching and I’m so glad that she saw that.
