Yawn. I feel like I’ve seen this match 100 times already.
I really wish they’d give Rosa a little push, even if she lost to Michelle atleast its something different and some screen time for her!
Oh Tamina got a new outfit I’m so happy for her but, she can’t walk in her shoes she had to start jogging to keep up with her team.
i think kelly needs to train & do new moves or even ad back those hurricanranas again shes just boring….
why couldnt kelly win??? michelle has lost how many matches it annoys me that mccool/writers cant put someone over her…
this is the first time i’ve paid attention to jamie keyes’ announcing. it sounds like she’s asking a constant question. weighing 215lb? chavo?
Finally Kaval is back with LayCool.
Layla is so funny
That was a long match by diva standards
i wasn’t liking layla tonight. her constant fitting and yelling at ringside was unnecessary, much like when mccool is valeting her, it’s like she’s trying to take all the focus away from the match.
I enjoyed this match for quite a few reasons. First, it was longer than usual matches, and also that they told a story within the match and worked the arm. I loved the heel qualities Michelle used, I love the push ups she did.
This match gave me more hope in Kelly, she’s still new and I know she has a lot of potential, I just think with more training and longer matches, she’ll be able to improve more.
Good night for the SD Divas.
@Jordan I didn’t even notice the whole push up thing until I saw the replay. I thought everything clicked in this match plus it was given time to develope into something. That’s why i’m always excited when the divas have a match on superstars cause they actually have time to do stuff.
i didnt c the match (family time) but i cant wain for the write up
I really liked this match, yeah we’ve seen it about 100 times but it was still good. Probably because Kelly barely got in any offense except “slamming” Michelle’s head into the mat. She screams WAY too much IMO it was getting very annoying.
Michelle reminds me of Randy Orton in the ring, like the way she handles her offense. She takes her time and seems like she’s calculating what to do next. I loved the push ups she did on her, very heelish. Layla killed me on the outside of the ring when she was jumping up and down yelling against Kaval and he was just staring at her like, “What the hell is wrong with you?”
Superstars should be a just Diva show because the guys always have pointless matches no one cares about and the Diva’s always have good long matches on it.
yoo guys seem to forget tht michelle and kelly have only faced up against one another once.
“Superstars should be a just Diva show because the guys always have pointless matches no one cares about and the Diva’s always have good long matches on it.”
That wouldn’t happen even if WWE wanted to do it because Diva segments on WWE programming traditionally perform badly in the ratings. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s part of WWE’s reasoning for keeping their segments so short most of the time.
Michelle vs Kelly was a decent match up way better than what we usally get, so far WWE has had good matches starting from the 3 diva tag team match on to today.
Chrisp but don’t you think that has more to do with how the WWE presents the divas? Back in the Trish/Lita era I think there segments were doing well ratings wise. Even when Trish and Lita main evented Raw the ratings didn’t dip. I think if they actually showed they gave a damn about the women the fans and viewers might as well.
I agree; the reason why the ratings might slip, we don’t physically know because they don’t do breakdowns of each segment and what not. However, if they put more thought into the booking and really tried to rebook the division and that doesn’t just mean make longer matches, they could get somewhere.
“Chrisp but don’t you think that has more to do with how the WWE presents the divas?”
Maybe, but regardless of why it happens, WWE isn’t going to give them more time when their quick Raw segments have people changing the channel more often than not. It’s bad when a long segment has people changing the channel, but it’s even worse when it happens during a short segment.
If WWE doesn’t give them more time to test out the waters, they will never know what will know. If they do a longer match, just book it correctly to keep people not wanting to change the channel.
I wish the wwe was more consistent with how often Kaval is with Lay-Cool. It’s like one week he’s with them backstage on an episode of Smackdown or Superstars and he isn’t with them in any other segments for weeks. It gets a little confusing.
@Kaledrina I agree about Layla, she actually has been sounding loud and annoying to me for a while now. I think if Laycool calmed down a little the fans might like them more, because it seems that Layla is always a little over the top. Kaval seems like the quiet type so I know he found it annoying. Layla is still one of my favorites, I just find her even sexier when she talks and yells less.
The match was ok but I just see Kelly never being a good wrestler, I don’t like when wrestlers are very “limited” in the ring.
“If WWE doesn’t give them more time to test out the waters, they will never know what will know.”
The short segments would have to start doing well before they’d consider that, I think.
Yeah, WWE would never know how it would turn out if they don’t give it a chance on Raw. If they had the “face” Divas have more of a personality and not just come out smiling and waving at the fans (Kelly, Eve, Tiffany, Bellas) just so people like them. The “heel” Divas always have they’re own thing going, like Maryse is bitchy and full of herself, Laycool are bullies and think they’re the best, Jillian is a (terrible) singer, etc…
Most of the Divas have the capability of pulling off a decent match if given the chance and they actually try. I wouldn’t really want to go out there and give it my all if I was only gonna be out there for a minute in a pointless match that’s a part of a storyline with basically no thought put into it. They travel all around the world, working their asses off on almost a daily basis, and they get almost no respect from the WWE. Maybe if they were given matches longer than 2 minutes and were part of storylines that were actually good, girls like Maryse and Kelly might actually take the time to be a better wrestler. Perfect example, Layla wasn’t very good in the ring at all before Laycool started and now she’s improved a TON because they have decent length matches some of the time on SD and she was a part of a big Diva’s storyline.
If WWE would just think, they could come up with plenty of things that would capture the attention of the fans like they used to. It’s stupid and really irritating that they can’t do that. So, maybe some of the Divas will outshine some of the superstars, an even better reason to give them their own show.
The short segments definitely have to become better and I think they will get better when Eve, Alicia, Maryse, and the Bellas are not invovled. Those girls aren’t horrible wrestlers but women like Gail, Jilian, and Natalya can get fans behind the divas divsion
if they’re are pushed and put on great botch free matches weekly. Natalya was a beast in the ring last week and she needs to be in the title hunt ASAP.
The match was good. Good length, told a story, solid moves and it was the main event. However how come Michelle needs help beating Tiffany but no need for need for aid against the more exepiernced and pushed Kelly Kelly. A little backwards booking. And where was Kellys partner Tiffany?
Well even though I wasn’t too excited for the match it turned out pretty good. I loved how Michelle saw an injured body part and kept working on it for the entire match. Plus I noticed when Kelly started to get offense she didn’t act like her arm was 100% so kudos for her for making it seem believeable. Beautiful Faithbreaker. And it was awesome to see Kaval be with Lay-Cool again.
Quit bringing up Trish/Lita when comparing how the Divas are booked these days. They NOT anywhere near important to the show as Trish and Lita were. You can blame booking all you want, very few Divas have any charisma in them. WHY would the WWE put focus on that? And the ones that they do push hard as in ring competitors (Michelle, Layla, Alicia) right now cannot get a reaction to justify or give meaning to their booking. Well, we know why Michelle gets a push, but that ain’t gonna change for a while..
As far as the match goes, it was a squash match. Squash matches should never be more than 2 minutes.
