New Divas Champion, Melina was part of the SmackDown vs Raw 2011 ‘Community Event’ earlier this week in LA and was interviewed on the red carpet by GamerLive.tv. Find out what she had to say below:
Really cute interview. I guess we can pretty much deduce from this interview that Melina will join Eve Torres and Michelle McCool in the game. That’s three so far.

That interview felt really. awkward.
Melina was her lovely, warm normal self, but the host just didn’t seem to click.
So excited for Melina in SVR 2011.
Kelly Kelly is also in! and she has a DLC for a Devil Halloween costume :)
Lol, a lot of Melina interviews feel awkward to me. She comes across as shy a lot of the time. Not that it’s a bad thing…it makes her even more likeable, tbh.

Lmfao! You’re blaming the interviewer? Sureee. You know, all she did was ask Melina questions like she was paid to do. It’s not her fault she didn’t “click” with Melina who was her normal “shy” self.

Seems like she likes the games! Although, she does mention Trish, Lita , Sherri and Natalya so I hope they will be a part of the game too! Also Alundra though I doubt it.
I don’t get why a lot of people say Melina’s interviews are awkward and she sounds fake and whatnot. Not everybody on the face of this planet is going to sound one way. The interview was fine and I saw nothing awkward about it. I have to agree with Melanie on this one, Melina was quite cute in this one. ;)

I don’t think she sounds fake at all, but awkward? Yeah, kinda, and it’s because she’s more soft-spoken than the other divas. I mean, you get the likes of Mickie and Trish, who are more direct and to-the-point and confident, whereas Melina is more reserved, and she tends to giggle a lot, which could be a sign of her nerves. I’m probably looking too far into it tbh, but w/e. Like I said, it adds to her charm.
the cut off is usually before Night of champions, so Melina will be the Divas champion, however Michelle had the woman’s championship in the demo the press got to play (it was shown in a picture on one of the sites)i hope it doesn’t mean that Layla isn’t in
…The only reason I believe that Melina sounds fake is because her tone, it’s just – I’ve never heard her talk in that tone until her face turn. It just seems like Melina is trying to come off as this super-sweet girl, which I’m not saying she isn’t, but the more she tries, the more I cringe in her interviews.
To be fair, did you see a lot of of OCC interviews, speeches, conferences etc from her when she was a heel? Because there were only a few, and she sounded pretty much the same. Likewise when she was on Tough Enough.
She’s so adorable :) She is a lot different from the other girls in interviews though. Melina seems shy but I don’t think she sounds fake or that it was awkward.

I think that’s why she rubbed a lot of superstars the wrong way in the beginning. Because of her shyness, people often mistake it for being stuck up or something similiar. I know because I’ve had the same problems at work numerous times. I’m very approachable and easy going but I’m also shy. One of the reasons I won’t call in to DivaDirtLive lol…but I digress…
Many co workers and friends of the family ask if I don’t like them or whatever, and I’m like, “What? Are you kidding? Why wouldn’t I like you?” And then we break the ice and they realize I’m actually pretty friendly. Some people are shy. Trish was getting all this attention from her modeling days, wearing next to nothing as well, so I see why she wasn’t very shy come her WWE career. She kissed all the big guys, she got on all fours and barked like a dog, she did plenty of things that a shy person would have trouble doing lol! :p

She constantly talks about how she’s much more soft-spoken and shy than her character on TV. And she even said that IN THIS INTERVIEW. I don’t think it’s fake at all, I mean obviously people have to put a face on for the media. But I think that she seemed different after her face turn because her heel persona probably gave her a lot more confidence.
On her twitter and elsewhere, she’s always said that she’s shy and really soft-spoken. I have no reason to not believe her. When you’re a face, you get a lot more media time – hence, being shy, some interviews are going to come off awkward. She still seems very genuine and down to earth about her success.
