  1. If it wasn’t so late at night for me (Eastern time) then I would be watching this for sure.

  2. Aja Kong? The same one from back in the early/mid 90s wrestling in WWE?

If she is then wow…how old is she now? And does anyone know if she’s still any good?

  3. Sounds great! Can’t wait to see what they will do in their matches!

  4. It is the same Aja Kong and she is just as good as she was in the WWE! I’d say even better given there are no restraints on her ability!

  5. If there are replays of this, I will definitely be checking it out. Thanks for the heads-up!

  6. Wow, 3:30am… I want to see this so badly, I may just set my timer and make some popcorn in the middle of the night!

  7. @ Theshape31 – Lol.

Well, my laptop is here at work and my boss says I’m not allowed to take it home seeing as how I’ve got confidential stuff in there. Can I watch it from my Android? I love this phone. I can access anything at anytime. Well most things.

JaiRate86- Thanks. Wow I can’t believe it. How often do you hear of a woman wrestler lasting that long? With the exception of The Fabulous Moolah, I can’t think of any. Hopefully she’s working out as those bumps can take a toll. I used to train with luchadores and their ring was murder on my back! Every bump took the air out of me so for Aja Kong to be doing this still, my hats off to her.

  8. SWEET. I shall be staying up for this treat. XD

  9. nice
    can’t wait to watch

    shout out from tha pacific

  10. Toshie Uematsu vs. Misaki Ohata was first. Uematsu is a BEAST in the ring! Ohata is small but she’s quick and more powerful than she looks. GREAT match, these two were flying around the ring! Uematsu with the win after a devistating northern lights suplex.

  11. Uematsu with a Dragon Suplex.

  12. Alas, no popcorn since there are a couple of peeps trying to sleep. So it’s apple slices and peanut butter (all-natural and organic, of course).

    3:30-3:45am
A bunch of little kids dance, then perform several amateur wrestling matches in the ring. The ring looks like it’s right outside of a two-level strip mall. No audio yet.

    3:50-4:00am
    Toshie Uematsu vs Misaki Ohata
The audio is up, but very choppy so I’ll keep the volume real low. About 80 or so others are viewing the program tonight. LOTS of streamers during the introductions. Very good back-and-forth match, with some unique and entertaining maneuvers. Ohata at one point hit 9 running cross-bodies in a row, I’ve certainly never seen that. Some very creative pins and counters toward the end. Toshie wins via bridging full-nelson suplex.

    4:10-4:30am
Aja Kong & Kagetsu vs. Tomoka Nakagawa & Hiroyo Matsumoto
TONS of streamers during the introductions once again. This is my first time seeing Aja Kong, she looks quite formidable, and she can really move! Lots of excellent old school tag action to start things out. It all breaks apart, they head to the outside and Kong nails someone with a chair, then they fight into the crowd (which has gotten pretty large by this point). Great action all around, just an awesome tag team match! Viewers got up past 100 at a certain point.

I’m really glad I couldn’t sleep tonight, top notch stuff!!!

  13. Oops, forgot to mention that Tomoka pinned Katetsu after hitting a high-and-tight suplex.

  14. Fantastic tag match! Doesn’t matter how old Aja Kong is, she still has the skill and the strength. At one point the match broke down and the action spilled into the crowd (this was held outside, by a mall, sorta like how WCW used to hold their shows) and the camera was fixed in one position (towards the ring) so you couldn’t see much of what happened. But it got back into the ring and DAMN these women are quick! Ohata was the quickest in the first match but Nakagawa & Matsumoto were light on their feet. Matsumoto got the pin on Kagetsu by a backdrop driver! Some hard hits in this match!

Afterwards, all the women and the camera guys, helpers, etc gathered in the ring and faced all four directions for group photos and shots. There was no sound on the feed, and even if there had been I wouldn’t have known what they were saying, heh. But after the tag match Matsumoto got on the mic and from her body language, I think she was giving props to Kong and Kagetsu. They shook hands, then all gathered in the ring for the shoot.

The camera turned around and we saw Ohata in a purple SHIMMER shirt and Nakagawa in the new white SHIMMER shirt and according to the SHIMMER twitter, they were shilling Shimmer merch! Lols

In conclusion: so worth staying up until 3:30 a.m. It’s 15 ’til 5 a.m. and I may be dead tomorrow but by God it’s worth it. Best. Wrestling. I’ve seen in a LONG damn time. Aja is a legend and she can still go!

  15. I was trying to scribble my thoughts as I was falling asleep, haha. Everything I was going to go back and write later in the day your covered, Jennifer, and better than I would have. That may have been the best tag wrestling I’ve seen in several years. By the way, since she appeared in SHIMMER, Misaki Ohata has become my favorite wrestler overseas. Too bad I fell asleep before they came out in SHIMMER shirts, I would have marked out!
