They pair up Maryse and DiBiase in hopes that DiBiase can become a bigger star, and two months later, both of them are in worse positions then they were in spring. Amazing.

Well chrisP, when you don’t do anything with the superstar other than slap him with a diva then yes, everyone is going to be worse off. Teddy should buy Miz’s US title and a Diva’s title opportunity for Maryse soon.

Jillian should get a push! And I can’t wait to see the whole match during the DivaDirt review. I missed Tamina as well. They definitley need to start shaking things up again, because I’m changing the channel too much lol. I caught a glimpse of Maryse, Ted and the rest..but blah…yea, Orton is impressive falling flat on his back performing a less stellar Twist Of Fate. Morrison did all the work Orton, you big phony! Sorry I just am not understanding the recent Orton movement..but whatever..

It’s not management’s fault and it’s not Maryse’s fault. TDJ was just never going to get over, because he’s the blandest person on the roster. It still makes me giggle to think that people were talking about how much he’d eclipse Cody in terms of success. Look at how that is turning out.
@Seasons-Of-Love- I always found Cody was the more charismatic of the two. Ted is vanilla through and through. I was thinking, since no one really buys Maryse as an acomplished grappler..they could give her a Stephanie McMahon Helmsley type of reign. Where she’s allied with her own Tori..Alicia sounds like the perfect candidate, and she holds onto the title for a good six months. That way they can build her up as a bigger heel(and bigger star)as well as build up the other divas like Eve and perhaps Jillian as a face. Turn one of the twins heel too. Add some freakin dimension to this diva roster damn it!
Ted needs a new character and more screen and mic time like Cody does but if that doesn’t happen, he’ll never go anywhere. It’s really not anyone’s fault but his.
Yea, it looks like Maryse is being wasted at his side…oh God, did I just say that?!! Well………to her credit, she’s got a good character going. And if used right(Like the way I proposed.. ;) ) she could help out the womens division as the top heel. Her and Alicia could be a force together. Kind of like LayCool/BP alliance..only more entertaining. I hope.
They can be very instrumental in helping build up Eve, a twin, and Jillian as a potential face.
I think a Maryse Steph-like run could work. Seeing her prance around with it pompously yet not actually do anything with it could actually make people care about the belt.
The trouble is that Ted isn’t nearly as good a wrestler as Cody, nor is he nearly as good a speaker. He’s just very, very average. I mean, if you wanna compare their wrestling skills then look no further than their respective matches with Christian. Cody’s was fantastic, TDJ’s sucked.
Whatever the case, this pairing has done nothing but harm. DIBiase was doing better prior to WrestleMania and afterwards during his short partnership with Virgil. So was Maryse, even after losing her title. Now, Maryse hasn’t been this unimportant since 2007 when she was doing the bumper spots on Smackdown, and DiBiase was always more significant than he’s been in the last two months, going all the way back to his debut.
also i’ve noticed, Maryse is trying just a tad bit harder whenever she’s in the ring now, like actually doing stuff rather than getting her butt handed to her and then winning. Maybe she realized being at Teddy’s side isn’t doing so hot so she wants to prove she should be doing something better? maybe, but she is trying harder.
The only thing that could save Ted and Maryse is if Ted buys a title and buys Maryse the Diva’s title. Ted squirms out of legit defenses and Maryse just gets Ted and Ted’s money to keep her from defending her title (a la Stephie-Mac, like people have been saying).
Not a bad idea. Hopefully WWE is reaing Diva Dirt again. Give them a storyline at the very least. I miss the days when everyone had a storyline like back in 2000.
@I<3Maryse. I noticed the same thing! Like, I think Maryse (since returning to Raw) has been use to being in the title picture and I'm not saying that Maryse is spoiled or bratty because I know for sure that's grateful for everything that's happened to her since joining WWE, but I don't think she ever thought that she would be…I guess downgraded, in a way? Or at least, not the top heel because she's ALWAYS been so. Now, she's doing more to prove her spot in the company and fight back for her spot. You can tell that she wants back in the ring/title picture and I think the next feud Maryse is in, she's going to work hella' hard to keep that spot.<3
