We’ll let you be the judge, but it seems as though the newly reformed Beautiful People, Angelina Love and Velvet Sky had some choice words on last night’s episode of TNA Reaction, the new behind-the-scenes ‘docu-drama’ which follows Impact.
“We created a group that has been like no other for women in professional wrestling. People have tried to be like this. People have tried to join us,” says Angelina.
A more feisty Velvet, chimed in saying: “For all you wannabe Beautiful People girls out there… and you know EXACTLY who I’m talking about… get a life. You will never be us.”
Meanwhile, Angelina adds: “You’re not cool, by the way.”
‘Cool’? Interesting choice of words…

first they attacked maryse for “hairspraying” mickie life wtf? now they bash laycool? IMO laycool are better! they’re more suitable and not all about showing boobs and stripping! yh they may have an childish gimmick, but at the end of the day a gimmick is a gimmick and they get paid for playing it well! laycool have gotton popular and have improved immensly regarding promos and mic skills, layla has improves in wrestling, and michelle was always a fantastic wrestler!! laycool may not get the craziest reaction but they get decent reaction, its not right to say that the absolutly dont get reactions cos thats not right. ive been to live shows and laycool indeed get reactions. ive been to live tapings of superstars and they get decent pops. pple just belive they dont get reactions and just dont get over it.
tbp have become stale and crap, they’re not entertaining if u ask me, im a girl and i can say the only pple that find tbp “entertaining” would be guys in the audience. cos tbp just show their boobs and butts and expose bodies thats what they do. angelina is decent in the ring but IMO michelle is the better wrestler shes more solid! velvet is bad layla is a million times better!
It’s a bit funny how LayCool overtake TBP as the alpha mean girls in wrestling, then suddenly Velvet and Angelina are reunited? It wouldn’t surprise me if this is done just to fix the mistake of TBP 2.0 and try and give LayCool some competition. As far as competing goes TNA has always been tasteless in their attack, I respect WWE more for turning the other cheek to all their previous comments, espeicially as they could have sued TNA for the HardCORE Justice debacle, I wouldn’t want to fan the flames.
Now that Tara’s back, I expect a lot more WWE bashing, that’s essentially all she did in her promos the last time.

The mean girls gimmick dates back to Stacy and Torrie, not TBP.. Torrie even used the hairspray.. heck even Sherri used it.. so no, that point is not effective.. I hardly think the split title has anything to do with the joke that is the Knockout titles.. Many stables have shared singles and tag titles.. The Spirit Squad being a male example… Any move you see on TV has been done before in Japan so please let AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, and Madison know they need to give it back to some much more talented man or woman over sees cause they didn’t create it, thanks.. Let’s see what else.. Ankle lock? Really Kurt even used that in WWE and so have countless other people, fail once more… I think that about wraps that up..
TBP, old or new, are annoying and getting stale I’d be happy to see them all taken off the screens and get some of the real talent in use.

We aren’t 100% sure the WWE took TNA’s idea even though TBP & LayCool are somewhat similar. They may be popular and beautiful but they aren’t FAMOUS & FLAWLESS!!! LayCool > TBP

For all you people saying Lay-Cool is better than TBP are delusional. Lay-Cool have and always will be a third rate verison of TBP. The reason being Lay-Cool doesn’t have the; vocabulary, style or charisma of TBP. TBP may have been weakened when Angelina had to leave TNA, but even that form wasn’t threatened by Lay-Cool. A&V are back together and they take no prisoners!
– When the TBP cut a promo on somebody they have a legitimate beef with them and are funny about it. All Layl-Cool does is go straight to the lowest level taking cheap shots which make them look pathetic and immature 5-year-olds.
- TBP have the superior ring entrance by giving you a double dose sexiness with their ramp choreography and ring intro. I don’t know what that crap Lay-Cool does in their intro is suppose to represent. Layla and McCool move like they have sticks up their butts, which is confusing with Layla being a profession dancer. Lay-Cool should at least blow them away in this department. Very disappointing.
- Lastly, TPB on sheer charisma alone destroys Lay-Cool. I’m sorry to inform you all, but McCool alone sinks Lay-Cool. Nobody in the WWE Universe cares about her. It doesn’t matter how many times the WWE repackages her she’ll never get over with the fans. If McCool wasn’t in the group the WWE’s version might have a chance against TBP, but the WWE would never push the group or kill it themselves because McCool would complain they were more over than her.

They did it a couple of months ago in which love said something on twitter along the lines of ” I saw a blonde and a brunette ripping something off brutal” and they also bashed maryse. which is childish. I don’t really think they can be compared. TBP are more skanks from the wrong side of the tracks Mean Girls, while Laycool are more the nasty sorority girl type. LOL! But honestly, if anyone should be bitching, it’s Lana Star and Patti Pizzazz.
I think the fact that we ‘subconciously’ know they’re talking about LayCool is a flawed argument, if Layla or Michelle had the pettiness to say something about the The Beautiful People, without saying names then we’d know exactly who they were on about too! It works both ways, that’s not a winning argument.
I like both, bar TBP 2.0 which is when the stable died, the problem with TBP is that they don’t stand alone well, when Angelina left she just did the same thing as a face, now she’ll do the same thing with Velvet whose never changed. Madison’s still doing the same thing and saying they’re copying her and Lacey will continue playing the dumb blonde, there’s nothing different there and that shows in their entrances, which apparently is something that makes them ‘superior’. Layla and Michelle’s entrances don’t represent anything apart from they’re in-sync and the fact that when Michelle does her thing on the turnbuckle and Layla does the slidey thing on the top rope, it’s what they do in solo action, they’re being themselves and we know and have seen that Michelle and Layla can work well alone, instead of relying on one gimmick spread out across a number of people and never differentiated.
As for the style? Well the reason Layla and Michelle don’t have the style of TBP is because WWE has a wardrobe department that extends beyond the prices of TJ Maxx. Plus, seeing as the KO’s as a whole look like they’re dressed by the Drag Queens of Las Vegas, I don’t see that as a positive thing.
I think Layla and Michelle’s gimmick is suppose to be a portrayal rather than realism, as with the Piggie James storyline and the Beth one, it shows what happens to bullies, to live up to its PG quota, TNA isn’t a ‘family wrestling’ company meaning the way TBP is much more mature and bitchy. They’re similiar gimmicks, but nothing in wrestling is original, I think it’s a cheap shot by TBP but the reason why I hate it is the fact that it’s something TNA does constantly to WWE. It’s low business ethics and it just seems like TNA’s way of thinking is to bitch WWE down rather than to put out stuff that people would want to see over the WWE.
Hmm going to try not bash Velvet or Angelina here but they first bashed Maryse for using hair spray on Mickie James. Which they clearly copied from the year 1991 off the character Rick the Model Martel when he sprayed Jake the snake Roberts in the eyes leading to the blindfold match at wrestlemaina VII this was original model gimmick with the arrogance spray.,
You don’t see Maryse, Layla or Michelle or any other wwe diva going round bashing TNA knockouts/wrestlers.

Everything is a re-post, of a re-post, of a re-post. TBP and LayCool have struck on something that is quite easy to become successful with, if only because everyone knows “that girl”. The trick is being vague enough to keep you interested, and specific enough that it strikes a cord.
In response to the actual situation at hand, who cares? WWE certainly doesn’t seem to, and they are getting plenty of free publicity from it as a few others have noted. Acting this way for their docu-drama helps further TBP’s gimmick as petty, trashy girls who only take things at face value, so everybody wins.

Angelina and Velvet made off-camera (not TNA produce) remarks on youtube and their personal myspace’ accounts about Lay-Cool and other diva’s before. So yeah, I believe this is an obvious swipe at Lay-Cool. They really need to stop because they’re sounding like an insecure little child. Trying to convince anyone who is willing to listen that they are “the original” and therefore “better” is just ridiculous. It’s about as ridiculous as comparing the reactions of fans in an arena to those in a studio.

I am a huge fan of TBP and Lay-Cool. Let’s be honest, TBP was started first and took off, but Lay-Cool began and it is a huge hit. Lay-Cool gave Michelle a heel status, gave Layla the rightful spotlight. I mean you can argue that yes, Lay-Cool was created in response to TBP, Michelle and Layla’s alliance is of a different style, a more comedic one. The thing is though if TNA and TBP think that Lay-Cool is copying them and so on, why make the effort to say it? I don’t know who they intend on proving this too. Off-camera remarks are trashy plain and simple. Atleast Layla and Michelle keep to themselves about this for the most part.
