Former WWE Diva, Serena, posted the following on her Twitter page:

To each and every one of my extraordinary fans, I would like to thank you for your love and support. The past year of my life has been an amazing journey. The people I’ve come to know will always be in my heart and the unique places I’ve been have shown me how beautiful the world is. I feel very blessed. I fell madly in love with pro wrestling when I was just 11 years old. I pursued my childhood dream with every ounce of passion I had and I couldn’t be more proud of where my career has gone so far. I am so excited about the future and continuing to become as great as I can be, hopefully inspiring others along the way. “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined”…Dreams do come true ?.. I love you all– Serena

Our best wishes to Serena in future. She is an excellent talent and I have no doubt she’ll land on her feet.

  1. a very classy way to comment on her release, she seems happy…well as happy as you can be after being fired :/

  2. I adore her no matter what I’ve followed her journey since OVW and will continue too. She spoke with utter grace and I wish her the best on this new page she’s preparing to write.

  3. Dont burning bridges there.

Even still hardly words of someone burnt by the politics as some have said.

  4. I seriously don’t know how someone can be so gracious to something as so pathetic as her release, good on her. Shimmer next please Serena. :)

  5. I can see her coming back with long hair and a different gimmick. Just as long as the SES is around we wont see her. She may interact with Punk afterward though, just in a complete different way.

  6. dawhh:(

  7. Alot of class shown by Serena despite the BS release. You should stay at Shimmer. Avoid TNA

  8. Class well good luck serena and btw go 2 shimmer not tna

  9. Serena, well said. You are a beautiful and very talented wrestler. She’ll be back. Screw the haters, they suck! Stay strong Serena.

  10. @donnie darko if you are referring to me Im fair from a hater. Ive followed her work probably longer than most on her and was really glad WWE called her up after all that time. It is just that I dont think her release was a “BS release.”

  11. Hopefully she will move on to bigger and better things.

  12. T-Dogg what’s up with you today? It was a general statement. It seems you’ve focused your ire on me for whatever reason. If it makes you feel better; I sincerely understand your point of view on the issue of her release. However….I don’t necessarily agree with it, but I respect it. Fair enough? Now please, can we just be at peace? Its over and done with. There’s no point in going on about this forever. We can at the very least, agree that she’s a great in ring talent and that she’s going to be fine wherever she goes. Hopefully in the future, Serena will return and both sides will put these issues behind them. That way Serena can do what she does best, entertain. My well wishes to a very amazing woman and T-Dogg, truce?

  13. Why did you tell me to shut up when all I asked was a simply question to other poster in the other comment section? Please dont play the innocent here you were incredibly rude to me when all I presented was a rational case most of which you refused to acknowledge shifting the discussion all over the place even if it meant contradicting your previous statements.

  14. So from this post I gather your not going to let I go so easily. T-Dogg I apologize. I was angry that Serena was released and I was venting. Perhaps a lot of what I said didn’t make sense, sorry that I dodged your replies. I was seriously upset that people were being rude saying she couldn’t hold her liquor. Truthfully, that pissed me right off. Even the promoter from SHIMMER defended her behavior, probably had a hard time believing Serena was having disciplinary problems too…like I did. Who knows what went really happened? Only Serena and the parties involved can clear that up. But anyway, there’s no use in going on about it. Just know that I am honestly sorry for being a jerk sometimes. I get passionate in defending these ladies. Maybe my appreciation for them blinds me sometimes I don’t know…but ya I mean my apology. So truce?

  15. She wouldnt be the first person to discover drink and drugs for the first time in WWE.

I’m sorry that I’m not a big enough fan boy to excuse myself from calling this situation like it seems to be which someone literally pissing away their dream job. If she has a genuine problem with alcohol then fine but it if is just her immaturity then it is a big FU to her fans and WWE IMO. Thats my position. So truce I guess.

  16. Fair enough. Again T-Dogg I disagree almost completely but that’s better. Truce. ;) thanks

  17. Seriously how can you disagree? Youve yet to make a point that makes any sense. You claimed it was unfair and sexist yet I pointed you to Gregory Helm’s dismissal. If she stopped her drinking so would still have a job sorry but that isnt politics. Give me a reason why you disagree with me which I cant easily shoot down.

P.S. youve gone from not neccesarily disagreeing to completely disagreeing with me within a few posts.

  18. Finally the t-dogg @ donnie darko arguments r over :)

How do u think I feel when stupied kids at you tube calling Gail Kim “SUCKS” all the time just because wwe refusing to push her.

  19. @wildsnorlax how is this situation remotely comparable to the Gail Kim thing. Anyway you need to sides for an argument and I dont know what donnie darko’s side actually is especially after me shooting most of it apart.

  20. Sorry I didn’t mean to get into this it just I’M angry at wwe firing divas that not actully a modle but real wrestlers.

  21. Wow T-Dogg your actual very logical and I agree. You truly have to be a mega fan boy or girl to not weigh the evident possibilities. I happen to be one of Serena’s biggest fans but I can see the reality in your posts.

  22. wildsnorlax so it is WWE fault that Serena kept on drinking around shows despite WWE telling her not to? WWE didnt fire Serena because she isnt a model they fired her because her personal conduct didnt change.

  23. @t-dogg its damn simple why didn’t wwe just gave her a diffrent gimmick since she likes partying n drinking insted of firing her, I bet if it was k2,maryse,or eve or even the bellas they wouldve got away with it.

  24. wildsnorlax like I said to you in the other thread why would WWE reward/push someone who doesnt take their directions and has behaviour problems? It is statements like those that make question your age or if you have ever worked.

I dont know why you keep harping on about models, it is rather pathetic and childish.

  25. @ t-dogg Pathetic ? really ? u rather watching models in wwe who don’t have any wrestling in em and squashing real talents like gail kim, katie lea, jillian, etc it just dosn’t make since.

And as far 4 calling me “childish” I don’t think children knows from modle or real wrestler.

  26. Sorry but it is childish to give someone a free pass because they are a “real talent.”

Again I question whether you have ever worked. If I was WWE I would much prefer to employ a “modle” than a “real talent” that doesnt listen to me and has personal problems.

  27. @ t-dogg I don’t think serena had personal problems it just behavior issues.

WWE better replace her by another shimmer talent.

  28. Is that really the point youve chosen to reply to after all the ones youve skipped? Yep major difference between a personal problem and behavior issues from an operational perspective. *rolls eyes*

People please stop making excuses for Serena even just for the fact you are making me come down harder on her than I really wanted before entering into the discussion. Just engage your brain and a bit of reality please.

  29. Ok dude no body cares if u go down harder on her ur not the only one who dosn’t like serena.lol

  30. SHIMMER down folks and let it go. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinions, we don’t want a constant war of words.

  31. I’m actually enjoying this

  32. Ok, I have been reading the comments between donnie darko, t-dogg & wildsnorlax and I’m going to weigh in. t-dogg, I saw what you’re points is and it’s a very good point. Assuming Serena came to work drunk or alcohol on her breath not being able to perform and the WWE had warned her about before. Serena continued to arrive to work in an unfit condition then I agree with the WWE releasing Serena. However, donnie darko & wildsnorlax have also made some great points. For myself, I agree with donnie darko & wildsnorlax. The reason why I agree with them is because story going around which has not changed is Serena was released for not living her gimmick. Ok, if that’s the case then the WWE is stupid for releasing her. I don’t care who you work for but no company should control your life 24/7. It’s crazy to expect someone to live a gimmick 24/7. What the Undertaker act like the Deadman 24/7? T-dogg, what the WWE has to realize in that this is the 21st Century. The gimmick is real thing worked back in the 80’s because there was no internet. It was easier to keep the illusion up. But today with the internet, texting and cell phone cameras, they can’t keep the illusion up.

Now far models vs. talent, wildsnorlax is dead on with what she is saying. It’s stupid for the WWE to release great female wrestler and models who don’t even know how to wrestle. Primary example of this is Kelly Kelly who can’t wrestle or hit a simple dropkick but the WWE keeps shoving her down our throats. The models that the WWE keep hiring are for two things only; the money and the TV exposure. Do any of these models continue to wrestle after they are released from the WWE? No they don’t while women like Katie Lea and Mickie James are wrestling on the independent circuit; kicking ass and taking names. So that’s where I stand on the subject. Hopefully, t-dogg you now see the points that donnie darko & wildsnorlax. And even if you don’t agree with them doesn’t make automatically make their opinions wrongs.

  33. I’m sorry I know arguments shouldn’t happen at Diva Dirt.

It just I’m angry at wwe 4 releasing her. I mean this girl busted her butt since 2005 to get in the wwe.

  34. @Billy James – Thanks man. Your better at this than I am..but you made excellent points. For whatever reason, T-Dogg has dug his heels and he’s not gonna budge and atleast understand our prespective. Again, I respect T-Dogg’s opinions..but I’m not gonna say that I agree with them…because I flat out don’t and for reason which I think are valid. I doubt Serena showed up smelling like alcohol. You’ve made some great points BJames.

  35. @Billy James you do realise that not living her gimmick wasnt the offical reason she was released right? It was just a jokey comment another wrestler made the day news got out. So that throws most of your post out the window. You state snorlax and donnie made some great points but you dont name any of them.

This models vs wrestlers thing is TOTALLY and COMPLETELY irrelevant here. Serena was hired by WWE boys, it was her and her fault only that she got fired. Im sure one of you are going to say the models spiked her drink or something but come on.

@wildsnorlax why are angry at WWE for releasing her they gave her numerous changes to improve her behaviour and she didnt. You logic (which you have never explained) is so twisted here. Do you reallly expect WWE to turn a blind eye to her behaviour? I know you probably wont reply to anything that I said here but your points are beyond baffling.

@donnie darko I havent dug my heels in youve yet to supply a reason to sway me from my opinion or one which I havent easily shot down. Im open to revising my opinion upon new information but you havent supplied me any. I honesly cant rationalise your or wildsnorlax’s statements as they have little baring on how WWE or the real world operates. You keep on say how much you disagree with my comments yet you havent debunked or attacked any of my major points you just chose to dodge them and take them into very different directions.

On your claim that somehow you doubt Serena showed up smell like alcohol sorry to break it to you up WWE based an entire angle around that to rib her on the square.

I really wish someone who says they disagree with my points based reasons other then I alreadly addressed and that have nothing to do with odd rants about models would tell me why.

  36. T-Dogg, unless you are reading a source on the web the rest of us haven’t read, the reason that going on all of the wrestling web sites is “Serena was release for not following her gimmick” So let say Serena on a Wednesday night went for a few drinks with friends on her on time, never got drunk, never got a DUI and the only thing that happen was some fan took a picture is not grounds for her to be released (fired, I’m come on, I think it’s stupid to say release, when they what they mean is fired.) People are entitled to have a life. If Serena is having drinks with friends and not breaking the law, what’s the big deal, that’s she not living her gimmick. Wrestling fans today are lot smarter than they were 20 years ago, we know it’s a gimmick and it’s just scripted. The WWE should be smart enough to know this and that it’s a waste of time to have a Superstar or Diva to try to live their gimmick 24\7.

That’s point donnie darko was trying to make and personally I think you don’t want to hear anyone else’s opinions. The reason is and there’s no way in hell I’m wrong about this one. We are all guessing as to the real reason why Serena was reason. I’m guessing, Donnie darko is guess, and you are guessing t-dogg. The only people who really know the real truth is WWE management and until they make a statement as to the real reason Serena was released, we will never know.

Now the reason why everyone keeps bring up female wrestlers vs. models is that all of the Diva releases the year so far have been mostly Divas who could actually wrestle (with exception of Maria can’t wrestle and even Maria admits to that fact). Katie Lea, Mickie James, and now Serena have been released and all are damn good female wrestles. It’s a pattern that I don’t think can easy be dismissed. For example, I know for a fact that Rosa Mendes has been out partying and drinking (I have a picture to proof it). Rosa still has a job and does the same thing was released for. Why don’t they release Rosa? If the WWE is going to saying one person can’t go out and drink or party and they allow other to then it’s a double standard. That’s what people are trying to saying.

So t-dogg those are the points that people are trying to make. You don’t have to agreement with them but to show a little respect to people. I have read your comments between Donnie darko and wildsnorlax and you try to belittle them. You don’t agree with their opinions, that’s cool because you’re entitled to your opinion too.

  37. @Billy James Ive alreadly posted the updated reason sites are reporting numerous times in here which makes me lose faith in whether youve actually read my posts. It makes your entire first paragraph irelevant, sorry.

Saying that Im not interested in anyones opinion is rather pathetic as Ive spend most of my time asking others for opinions that can hold but to basic scrutiny.

donnie darko only made that “point” after I shot down his speculations/points in fairness. He called the Observer, PWTorch and PWInsider all unreliable. Yet when asked how they are unreliable and what he would consider reliable sources, I received no response from him on that.

Ill repeat myself here yet again this models vs wrestlers thing is TOTALLY and COMPLETELY irrelevant here. Her dismissal has not to do with it. Please prove otherwise or GTFO. Rosa may have gone out drinking once oh noes. Do you have any account whether that is regular thing, was she even working the next day, if so what condition did see show up in, was it a regular thing etc? You are completely clasping at straws here. Please dont let an odd vendetta against a group people blind you in the rather open and shut cause of Serena’s dismissal.

Why should I show respect to people whose points dont add up to much and dodge questions I put to them that are inconvient to them? You can say Im belittling them but I showed them the respect of asking them to reply to my posts numerous times and they dont seem willing or capable of doing so. If anything they are disrespecting and belittling by saying the completely disagree with me without ever explaining why and in one case donnie darko just told me to SHUT UP.

    In closing:

I’ve really tried to get some intelligent reasoning out of some of the posters on here and in nearly every attempt I failed . She had a personal choice which she was warned about taking by WWE and she still took it seemingly numerous times despite it being her dream job and her fans. It is that cut and dry. I can’t think even think of a rationale to defeat that logic and goodness knows no one here has after ample opportunity to do so.

  38. Thank you,Serena..

  39. T-dogg, let me say this that you do not know the real reason Serena was released much as I don’t know the real reason Serena. We are all guessing to reasons for Serena’s release. Your theory to Serena’s release is a real possibility just as donnie darko’s theory. We don’t know the real reason, only WWE management knows the real reason for Serena’s release and until they made an official statement to the reasons for her release, we will never know. So my opinion is just as validated as your opinion.

Sorry, that you think that people are belittling you but you are doing it too and just don’t see it. Yes, donnie darko shouldn’t have told you shut up. Now far the wrestling web site you mention that donnie darko called the Observer, PWTorch and PWInsider all unreliable. Those sites are not always 100% reliable but they do 70% of time report the facts correctly in my opinion.

That’s all I’ve to say on the subject. Just read this comment, agree or disagree and let’s all move on, no need to reply. Serena is no longer with the WWE and that’s that.

  40. @Billy James What have I said is a theory? She was asked to stop doing what she was doing by WWE and she didn’t that is established fact all the reputable sites and newsletters reported that fact independently of each other.

Even if you think those sites are 70% reliable donnie darko said they were completely unreliable. I asked how and for him to name sites he thought were reliable but he never replied. That is the story of the thread really as I make a point which posters can’t refute so they just pretend it doesn’t exist.

Again she had a personal choice which she was warned about taking by WWE and she still took it seemingly numerous times despite it being her dream job and her fans. But all posters can do is ignore replying that logic and instead prefer to make ridiculous posts about some theory that WWE has a vendetta against wrestlers, politics, sexism and that WWE should retain and push someone who refused to follow their directions. I mean really guys you are better than this.

  41. I’m sure there is bigger and better on the horizon for her. I’d personally love to see her return to SHIMMER.

  42. HEY EVERYBODY – long time no check it!!!!!!! I’d taken an extended absence from wrestling (while still loving it in my heart :oP ) and then I happen to see something like this update on my FB. I guess what was going on when I stopped tuning in is still going on (?) Smh Seems I have a lot to catch up on. Anyway, there goes (IMO) the hottest Diva. Ah well. She can do a lot better! Wishing her all the best! <3
