TMZ is reporting that prescription pills and ‘snorting straws’ have been discovered in the home of Luna Vachon’s mother, where Luna passed away last Friday.
The tabloid site has obtained a police report filed by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, with officers claiming to have found a box of Oxycodone near a ‘blue, chalky debris next to a small straw’.
They also discovered ‘multiple prescription bottles and miscellaneous unsecured pills’, again next to another ‘snorting straw’.
According to the police report, Luna’s mother said she “often appeared ‘medicated’ as she suffered from several wrestling injuries.”
An autopsy took place on Saturday. An official cause of death should be released in the next couple of weeks, TMZ adds.

It’s sad to see the case taking this turn. Once again, thoughts are with Luna’s family and friends. I hope WWE pays homage to her tonight on Raw, also.

you kno this is sad but we all give WWE a lot of crap for te way they treat their talent but at the end of the day when they need the WWE’s help they are there Luna was in WWE sponsored rehab just last year and apparently Scott Hall is in WWE Sponsored rehab now even though he was just signed to TNA so i give them alot of credit for that
Poor Luna :( She must have been in a lot of stress. I really feel bad that this happened.
Rest In Peace Luna, you were truly one of the best!
I was afraid of this. I don’t mean to sound negative but I suspected something of this nature almost immediately. Reason being because it seems that most pro wrestlers deaths happen as a result of something similiar to this. Poor Luna. This truly saddens me. She must have been suffering a lot. Hopefully she’s in a better place now. My best wishes to her family and friends.
Bless her she was in and out of rehab numerous times and was bipolar. A heavy load for anyone to carry.
I wish I could say that I was surprised but I’m not. Many wrestlers begin to abuse substances to deal with their pain. Plus, the fact that she suffered from bipolar disorder could have played a part too, as many people with mental health issues will self medicate with other drugs.
Either way, it is still a very sad state of affairs and I hope that Luna will be remembered most for the things that she accomplished in the ring and the joy she brought to many. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
Yea I forgot she was bi polar too. So she mustve had medication for that as well. God Bless her. And because she might have had these kinds of problems with painkillers or whatever else, I’m not going to think less of the kind human being she was. Much love for this special lady.
@donnie darko after discussing Serena’s release this weekend I hope you realise that situations like what happened to Luna underscores why WWE cant turn a blind year to the abuse of drink and drugs like they did in the 80s and 90s. Obviously Luna was much, much further down the road of addiction that Serena, if Serena is even on it at all. But still it is a slippery slope for some.
@T-Dogg – This is totally different than that. They are different situations. Serena is not the only one on the roster who drinks I’m sure. Other divas have been photographed drinking outside of work. I’m sure the case mustve been that of her not living her gimmick 24/7 as she was required to do. Anyway, I’m not going there again T-Dogg. I thought we settled this?
Im not going there either it was a stand alone comment. Anyway I went to great pains to say that the two were different situation so I dont know why you need to say that too. Yes Divas drink but going by reports not to the same extent and how frequently Serena did. Until you supply evidence to contradict that then you just have to live with it.
Anyway it was just general point about WWE preventing a drink and drug culture in the company.
Doesn’t surprise me if she died with an overdose of painkillers. This business is difficult and this pills are really easy to get addicted to.
Its so sad that these people die younger because of the damage they did to entertain us.
I’m glad WWE has invited any former employees to go through their sponsored rehab programs. Its only fitting they help them out after they break their bodies for(WWE) them.
And you haven’t supplied any evidence to prove your own “THEORIES” either T-Dogg. Its one thing to follow reports and speculate, its another thing if you were an eye witness to these alleged incidents. Until then, your just going to have to live with your ideas and your theories on what really goes on. Because your not anymore correct than I am and that’s the truth.
It’s very sad that she had to deal with so much and may have paid far too high a price for it.
T-dogg, it would be awesome if you could take these ignorant and inappropriate comments elsewhere.
Yep Oxycodone is a painkiller liken to heroine in terms of strength.
@ JohnHype what part of one off point you dont understand? How is it ignorant? Or are you talking about my first post???
It’s sad that Luna passed away at a young age and the possibility of drugs were involved makes the matter worse. Living with a mental illness is a very difficult thing to live with. God only knows what Luna was going through. No matter if drugs were involved, Luna left her mark on women’s wrestling and should be remember for that..
Johnhype & Donnie Darko, on the other matter in your comments, it’s not worth your time. Trust me, I know how you feel. Only thing you can do is ignore him.
And to prevent a war of words with anyone, leave it at door and let’s remember and pay respects to Luna and wish her family the best in this difficult time.
Luna did put her body through a lot. I mean she was wrestling for a span of atleast 3 decades maybe more? I trained in 2005 and then again in 2008(or 7 not too sure) for periods. And those back bumps are murder on your lower back area. Seriously, sometimes id get massive headaches from the shock I put my body through. One time I woke up to go to school and just collapsed on the floor because my knee was so banged up and had swollen up overnight. I was taking tons of aspirin at one point. Luna did that(bumped ect..) for years and years. @Anna Nattie Rules – Can’t say I was surprised either. Its just very painful emotionally for any fan/supporter of their work.
Maybe they should all have a generous amount of guaranteed days off and save the big bumps for the PPVs or something. Rehab is fine, but they should do more to prevent permanent injuries. I know it sounds like a stretch because it is pro wrestling. I guess no one is immune to the consequences of abusing your body in the ring.
Yeah, the bumps are pretty sick after awhile… I’ve trained on and off the last two years, and it’s similar to the bumps I took playing football… I hope this wouldn’t come to light but I hope she’s in a better place. The circumstances are still a bit blur but I really wish she wasn’t suffering too much from lingering damage.
not suprising but sad
RIP
T-dogg: what johnhyperion is saying that it’s pretty damn ignorant for you to try and make the situation with what happen with Serena sound relevant to what happened to Luna, when the fact is you don’t know either woman, you don’t know what Luna was going through, and you don’t know the whole story about why Serena was fired. Quit trying to act like a psychiatrist with a keyboard.
About Luna: I was hoping this wasn’t the case. I hope she is at peace.
:(
