Congratulations are in order for Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, as their highly anticipated reunion as The Beautiful People last week scored the highest rated segment on Impact according to ProWrestling.net.
Ang and Vel-Vel, as well as Madison Rayne, all cut extremely strong promos on last week’s show followed be an equally exciting catfight. The move obviously paid off as the segment scored a 1.15 in the quarter hour breakdown.
The next highest quarter was for the main event which did a 1.11.
This is an incredibly good look for the newly reunited original TBP. Even with more line-up changes than Destiny’s Child (okay, maybe not), they are still grabbing ratings three years on. Congrats!

oh, awesome. although at the same time, tna will look at this and perhaps think what we want is more beautiful people, when really we’d like some time devoted to the others.
I hope TNA doesn’t decide to give us more of TBP. God all we see is them every week. But nice to see the girls get the mega ratings again.

Lol @ Alex, its probably a combination of loyal TNA fans, loyal TBP fans, and those horny old men. Well to be fair, TBP have been around for awhile and although its annoying that they hog the womens division; its still evident they work hard to keep the fans entertained and involved. With that said, I would suggest some storylines with the guys or something. That way they make way for women like Daffney, Hamada and maybe Kat Waters to take over for awhile.

surely if it was the case of horny old men, the knockouts would always get the highest ratings? believe it or not, there are people out there who simply enjoyed the original beautiful people and were looking forward to their reunion.

Well tbh, it’s not hard to get higher ratings than segments with Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Jeff Jarrett and Sting in. As much as I like Sting, him and the others I mentioned haven’t been relevant in about 5 years.
Also what’s the deal with Daffney? The guy talking to Lita and Trish last night said Daffney got the boot..? I don’t think she’s fired? Its funny cause Trish was saying. “Daffney made herself standout with her screaming thing..” Host : ” They gave her the boot I think..” Trish: “she was screaming and kicking on the way out I heard..”

do you even watch TNA aside from the KOs? From that comment, you sure as hell don’t. Just because a match doesn’t get a high rating doesnt mean the match was bad. Beer Money vs FBI and Fourtune vs EV2 were both good and Gen Me vs MCMGs was out of this world amazing.
If this were someone hardline smarkdom loved, we’d be hearing about how it’s proof they draw.
Their act was cool until Love was lost to it. It’s something many fans enjoyed. I’m all for giving other KO’s more coverage. But do it in addition to the original Beautiful People getting time to reestablish their characters and connection. Not cut them out while still leaving the less entertaining parts of Impact intact. That route will sink the ratings and show enjoyability.
