TNA President, Dixie Carter teased on her Twitter page earlier today that she has signed a big talent that ‘people have been asking about’. Several names have been thrown around on the Internet today, but we can officially rule one name out and that’s former WWE Women’s Champion, Mickie James.
In a comment to Diva Dirt, Mickie’s manager Mary Michael says: “To lay the rumors to rest, as of yet I can confirm that Mickie James has not signed a deal with TNA.”
For what it’s worth, fellow former Diva, Katie Lea had a tryout with TNA last week which we’re told went very well. Fingers crossed!

Interesting. Mickie was actually the first person that came to mind. I’m actually pretty surprised that she’s not wrestling for them yet. I really liked the stuff she did with them back in the day. To be honest, I rather see her there than Tara.

no male wrestlers had a tryout at the recent tapings, so it sure seems likely it’s either kat or christina von eerie! either one will be good news :)
although the pessimist in me does think that dixie teasing who it is,means it might be somebody who is seen as more important than either of them.. likely some dude in his 50s.

Well, let’s assume that talent is a woman, a big talent that fans have asking about. Here are a couple of ideas as to who it could be. One, it’s Mickie James and they want to keep it a secret and throw fans off. (I seriously don’t think that’s the case but it is still plausible) I do think that this idea is very possible that if the big talent is this person and if it is then as good old JR would say business is going to pick up. I’m talking about the one and only Awesome Kong. Rates would hit the roof if it’s Kong. Maybe down the road Mickie James might sign with TNA but I like her sign after Hogan and Bischoff are gone.
Please be Katie Lea, and let her debut by attacking the opoonents of Daffney when the lights get turned out, setting up a tag team title fued between Tayoko and Daffney/Kat. :)
i dont believe its a female wrestler who was signed. When they mean BIG Name its usually a male wrestler.
There’s a rumor going around fuled by TNA’s Pope on Twitter/that the signee is actually former WWE Superstar Carlito. Good for him if that’s the case.

You know that its a big talent. That doesn’t mean it has to be a woman. I hope its Katie Lea, but people are talking a lot about Carlito, Shelton and even a Petey Williams return.
